The food was awesome. We had ordered the aguachiles, taquitos de papa and the handmade guac. Churros were a hit as well

Idk where to even start with this 5 star review!!! Beautiful interior! Very well done all the way across! Service was impeccable! Being greeted by the owner herself at the Host stand and then being taken care of by Guadalupe our server. Top notch service and setting the experience for the rest of the evening! Im a huge foodie and we ordered multiple things cause we wanted to try as much as we could! The Chips and Salsa were hot and fresh! The Chile Verde plate was one of the best I've ever had! The Mole was chefs kiss!!! The Rice and Beans! So much love goes into making food like this and it shows and you can taste it! This easily goes down for me as one of the best restaurants I've ever been too. Since were here visiting we might just make it a 2nd time before we head back home!

The staff is super nice and the place is new, very open, and clean. Everyone was so welcoming and seemed happy to be there. We really wanted to like this place because Big Bear is full of not so great tourist food. The food was pretty bland unless you put the salsas on it. The carne asada I got was so pale in color, thinly sliced, and lacked any flavor. The churros were very good and had a yummy gooey center.

I am so glad that 'the other place' didn't have a table for our group, because we walked up the street and came upon this gorgeous, spacious, newly opened restaurant: Rosa's! It is beautiful inside; once you step in, you forget you are in the mountains. The ambience and decor feel like chic LA or Newport Beach. The art pops from the walls, the ceilings are high, the furniture is on point, and the place is a gem! The staff are so warm, friendly, and fast moving; that makes you feel well tended to. The complementary chips and salsa are a fantastic entry point to the culinary experience. We had the pleasure of meeting Rosa herself; this restaurant is one of her greatest achievements; her personal passion and joy are reflected throughout the place - and in the delicious food! All of our party loved our dishes. I'd gladly go back to Rosa's for lunch or dinner! You should try it- you won't be disappointed!

Stopped in for lunch at Rosa's Mexican Restaurant, and I was seriously impressed. They're only two weeks old, but they already have everything dialed in. I was greeted immediately and seated within seconds, which set a great first impression. The wait staff was super friendly and attentive the entire time, making sure we had everything we needed. The food tasted amazing--fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for when you're craving Mexican food. Overall, I was really happy with the experience and will definitely be coming back. Excited to have a spot like this around!

Wow!! So great to have this new restaurant in Big Bear. The first thing you notice as soon as you walk in is the decor. It's so welcoming and beautiful. I went with a group of friends to another restaurant which happened to be closed so we did a quick pivot and headed to Rosa's. And it turned out perfectly perfect! They seated all eight of us right away and quickly got us stated with drinks, chips and delicious margaritas. The wait staff was amazing. The owners were both there and double checked on us several times. Everyone was friendly, happy, and helpful. Our food was delivered hot and quickly. They refilled our salsa many times and our waters too. So many delicious things on the menu. I had the durable shrimp and it was spicy hot but not scorching hot. Just right! I will definitely be going back soon!

WOW! This is truly one of the gems of Big Bear. My husband and I chose to eat here when I was searching for something new we haven't tried while visiting and I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere is beautiful inside they did great with the design. We sat outside because it was beautiful weather and we had the pleasure of some live music which was great! I had the guava margarita and my husband had a classic.. both tasty! We ordered esquites & guacamole off the apps and the chile Colorado for our meal to share which came with rice, beans & tortillas. Everything was so flavorful and totally hit the spot. Not to mention the service was AMAZING (hard to come by in Big Bear) everyone that passed by checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. We will absolutely be recommending to everyone and will be back again when we visit!

The food and service was great. The carne asada was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The fajitas were nicely charred as well. This plate came with guac, sour cream, rice and beans too! Great portion. The carne asada burrito with red sauce was a solid 9/10 (per my boyfriend review). It had rice, beans, carne asada, onion, and some other stuff. The best part were tortillas. Corn and flour were both so soft with great taste. Chips were complimentary and they refilled salsa as well. Presentation was awesome too! No complaints here :) will come back

This place went beyond my expectations! I wasn't sure what to order, so I asked the waitress for a recommendation. She was incredibly friendly and helped me choose the quesabirria plate and I'm so glad she did. It was honestly the best quesabirria I've had in my 26 years!!! The consommé was especially impressive, rich in flavor but not greasy at all like it can be at other places. That alone made the meal a 10/10 The atmosphere was amazing, and I loved that they're pet-friendly with a beautiful outdoor patio. I'll definitely be coming back

Great food ! Definitely need to try this out ! Everyone was so nice and friendly. I ordered Taquitos de Papa and they were yummy. ! Crispy on the outside soft on the inside . My family ordered quesabirria and even the simple rice and beans were so good

Complimentary salsa and chips provided. Our margaritas are pictured here.

If you're looking for a new local gem, this family-owned spot is something really special. We came in during a busy holiday weekend to celebrate a birthday, and from the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. You can tell this place was built with heart. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Beautiful Hispanic-inspired furnishings, cozy booth seating, and thoughtful decor that makes it feel both modern and traditional at the same time. The lighting and layout give it an intimate, welcoming vibe that's perfect for celebrations or a relaxed night out. Customer service was truly exceptional. Despite the holiday rush (and the fact that they just opened two days ago!), the staff was attentive, kind, and incredibly generous. They went out of their way to make the birthday feel special, and that level of care really stood out. The drinks were phenomenal: fresh, well-balanced, and clearly made with pride. Pair that with great music playing in the background, and the whole experience felt lively without being overwhelming. And the food? Pure comfort. Everything tasted like it came straight from a home kitchen- rich, flavorful, and made with love. You can taste the authenticity in every bite. Special shoutout to the green salsa that came with the chips easily one of the best I've had. Bright, fresh, and addictively good. It's rare to find a brand-new restaurant that already feels this polished and heartfelt. If this is how they're starting, the future is very bright. We'll absolutely be back and can't wait to bring more friends and family.

Cozy and welcoming place with nice lighting and a relaxing vibe. Great place for a casual meal with family. Our server was an Asian woman, such a delight- kind courteous and very attentive. The food was delicious. We ordered a wet burrito, camarones à la diabla, quesadillas and French fries. Let me tell you, all of us finished all and I mean all of our food. That's how good it was. The sad thing is that I forgot to take pictures.

    Rosa and some beautiful margaritas!

The salsas are outstanding. One a bit spicier than the other but nearly impossible to choose a favorite. We ordered the chicken and steak fajita combination with black beans and rice with corn tortillas. The fajita arrives on a sizzling cast iron skillet with generous amounts of grilled onions and carmelized red peppers. We rounded our order out with their house guacamole. The guacamole, itself, could have used a bit more salt but the perfectly salted chips helped solve that. The margaritas are dangerously good. And the mix they use tastes fresh and house made. I loved that these were served with dehydrated lemon wheels and a sprig of thyme. Pablo took excellent care of us and we will 100% return.

Good food, good drinks, and a nice spot to just relax after being out all day. The shrimp cocktail was actually really good. Super flavorful and refreshing. Chips and salsa were solid, and that hot sauce had a nice kick to it. My wife loved the mango margaritas, which honestly looked just as good as they tasted. The al pastor tacos were decent. Not bad, not amazing, just somewhere in the middle. The only reason I'm dropping a star is the service. It was pretty slow even though it wasn't a full house. Not terrible, but definitely noticeable. Overall, still a great spot if you're in Big Bear and want good food with a chill vibe.

We came on a very snowy day and there weren't a lot of people in the restaurant so we had our choice of seats. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful in choosing our dishes. We've been to many Mexican restaurants so we are pretty sure what we wanted, but had a few questions as some of the items seemed a little different than expected. She got the enchiladas with bean sauce on top which we're pretty darn good. I got a chicken mole dish that was good, but not quite what I was hoping for. We both came to the conclusion that this restaurant represents a regional area of Mexico that is not necessarily the same as your standard Mexican food lineup. While the food was tasty, we didn't absolutely love it and probably won't choose this place for our next Mexican meal.

It kinda seems like an entire hobby lobby was purchased and put into the restaurant. 3/5 design The salad was not anything special. It was good lettuce but just that, some croutons, and dressing of choice. 3/5 salad When we got there, no one came to greet us and we were waiting in the main entrance area for about a good 10 Minutes while I saw what looked like all the staff members on the left side of the restaurant hanging out and joking around. Once I went over to say that I was there, the server was attentive and polite. 3/5 service I felt the price was too high. For 2 meals and water we ended up paying around $50. I would have been more pleased with around 35-40. 3/5 price The good: The portions are really great. I love to have big portions and this place did not disappoint. The food was better tasting than expected: I was nervous with such a giant place and only 2 other parties were there. However, I really enjoyed my chicken Parmesan and my wife's nachos were good with a good amount of cheese. I would come back but not every time I visit big bear on vacation. There's indoor and outdoor seating. I sat outside for the view. When customers sit outside, servers are supposed to check up on them often. I know because I used to be a server. She only came out twice during the hour I was there. I wanted more napkins and was going to go inside and ask for it but I just patiently kept waiting and then finally when she came out I asked for it. At the end of my meal when I got the check, she still didn't come out, so I just went inside so I can hurry up and pay and leave because the bugs were attacking me outside. For the record, the restaurant was empty too. If it was busy, I'd understand the slow service. But it was pretty empty, like 5 tables filled, and the restaurant is big because there's indoor and outdoor seating. Also there was another older white lady (not my server) who I think might be a manager or owner, who came outside to ask the white couple sitting next to me if everything was good. It was only me and that couple sitting in the outside patio at the time because the sun had set. And after asking them she just went back inside. She never asked me how I was doing or if I needed anything. Because of that I thought she was racist but that's just my assumption. Either way, it was rude. I really did not like the service here as you can tell from this long review. Ambience: I found this place on yelp because I wanted to eat with a lake view. The view is cool. It's not WOWW. But there's not many lake view restaurant surprisingly in Big Bear. It sucked because the sun was setting on the left side, so it was behind the trees. So you couldn't see the sunset. However their lake view to the front and right is nice. I ate at De La Nonna yesterday, which also had a view. And their view is wayyyy better. So overall, view was nice. Not horrible. Not the best. But at least you get a view. Now onto my biggest ick of the night, which was worse than the service, and the reason why I will never return here or recommend this place to anyone.. the BUGS. Oh my GOD!! They were attacking me and even if you shoo them away they don't go away. And it was like 5 different types of bugs. This small little fruit fly looking one, this huge fly/bee size one, this small green mini grasshopper looking one. These bugs kept hitting my face as I was eating I had to keep slapping my face and use the napkins to keep waving them around to keep them away but it didn't work. One landed in my wine, one landed in my water, 2 landed in my salad, a bunch on my face and body. It was insane. I would think they would know this and put some type of outdoor bug zapper for the customers. Or bug traps or repellent. Anything to deter the bugs away. It ruined my experience and I couldn't even enjoy the view because I was too busy slapping and killing these bugs. This place has potential but it's not it. I'm just glad my salad tasted good so at least I had a satisfying meal. If my food sucked I would've been PISSED at the whole experience. I'm giving it a 2 star for the salad and decent view.
