Welcome to Mesquite. We came out on their third night open and it was a rainy day. The place was vey busy and their was a little bit of a line. Not a very long wait to order - less than 15 minutes. This was not our first time to eat at a Rosas. Service was fast and friendly. Our food came out less than 10 minutes after we ordered. Food tasted as good as I remembered. Never eaten at a Rosas then you should expect a very festive environment that combines the speed of a fast food joint with the friendly service of your local Mexican favorite restaurant. No table service - you have to pick up your food from the counter when they call your number. Food is good. And you get a good deal for what you pay. You have to fix your own drinks. We didn't get them but their sopapillas are yummy. Their tortillas are good too. They make them in house and you can watch thru the window. Give it a shot it will worth your while and makes a good addition to the Mexican restaurant market in Mesquite. read more

Food was barely warm. The cheese on the enchiladas would not even melt. Corn tortilla was refrigerator cold. Fajitas beef had good flavor but not hot. Flour tortillas were at lease warm. The loud speaker was turned up very loud so when the person called out the numbers of orders when they are ready would actually hurt your ears. Food prices were on par with other Mexican restaurants but quality and service fell way below. This location of Rosa's Cafe failed on all but one. Fajitas had good flavor. That is the second star given. Maybe the other locations are better. Maybe get your food to go and warm it at home. Maybe go to a better Mexican restaurant with sit down service and a peaceful atmosphere. read more

One of the managers had a really nasty attitude when I took my food back because it was made wrong. I asked for chili sauce instead of red sauce on my enchiladas and it was even on my receipt but it was still wrong. As soon as I took it to the counter he wanted to argue about it being the same thing and he didn't want to remake it. After going back and forth he snatched the plate and smothered it in chili sauce and cheese, I stated I didn't want it like that and he slung the food in the trash and slung the plate really hard in the bucket. After that I just got a refund because he had no reason to be that angry and supposed to be a leader. A customer standing at the counter beside me stated it was bad customer service the way he acted. I was excited to have a Rosa's closer to home but, the way I was treated by a manager, I rather continue to travel to other locations where I am treated better and they get the order right. I was really embarrassed and sad that this is someone in leadership managing other employees. read more

Tamales were all masa no meat! And I mean all masa. Got my order wrong, my grandsons order wrong And who charges 4.32 for chips? I never had tamales that were this bad, and could not eat them!¡!!! Avoid at all cost. Horrible service and rude employees. I understand the restaurant just opened but it seems logical that you will try your absolute best to earn repeat business. But have lost this one time customer. Asked for a portion of our order for later and to go and found out it was sitting on the counter since our original order and wasn't packaged to go. Visited on first night open. Service was a bit dis organized but it was to be expected. Lady met us at the door was very shy but pointed us in the right direction. I had eaten at Rosa's in Rockwall a few years ago and was hoping for a pleasant surprise. Well it was a surprise. Went thru the line pretty quickly. We got table and waited for the number to be called. They were calling number but never called our number. Was told to wait till number was called!!! Waiting was crazy! Found my food at the counter after looking at my tray , but never called my number I just went up looked at the ticket and YEP it was my number on the ticket sitting there!!! Food was I guess fresh for it was not tasty at all really bland. I got chicken enchiladas side order of Tamales(3) 1 pork 2 chicken. Wife got a taco salad. She said it was good but not great!! My chicken enchiladas ??? Well they were not warm after sitting at the counter and really had no taste , I added sals and salt and well it made it taste a bit better. Rice and beans were cold and not tasty at all. I will not be going back for a while for sure. The place was new so was very clean and nice area to find a place to sit plenty of tables. I love the food at Rosa's Cafe, and have visited 63 times because of the FOOD! I have the receipts! Except the first few times I visited and ordered, when I got home my order was always incorrect. So I posted a review, and Martin Hernandez, Regional OR District Manager contacted me because I made a point to advise the orders are ALWAYS WRONG when I get home. I never asked for my order to be replaced, I was just reporting poor service because I wanted my order to be RIGHT! I love the food! I have never asked that my order be replaced, Manager, Stephanie, actually replaced my order the next time I visited. In 63 visits, the Drive Thru Team has only gotten my order right 5 times, but I love the food! After that first time I did not post again! UNTIL TODAY! Yesterday the guacamole was WATERY ... YUK! Not to mention, as usual, when I got home the ORDER WAS WRONG!! First time since the first time that I called Rosa's and spoke to Manager, Stephanie, who said to "come by tomorrow and I'll replace it. I've printed the receipt and it will be here when you come back!" TODAY WAS THAT DAY!! I used to think the girl in the Window (drive thru) (Jocelyn) was the greatest employee. So sweet, on top things, made sure my order was checked and correct, and her customer service was top notch! I even wrote a review shortly after they opened and raved about Jocelyn and Stephanie. Today, Jocelyn's mouth changed my mind! She asked me THREE (3) times, "what was wrong with your order yesterday ... haha ... haha!" Even got a chuckle out of Stephaie ... a very big surprise to me! I explained what happened YET AGAIN, and Stephanie asked me to park and someone would bring it out!! So I did. Then HERE COMES JOCELYN, talking and laughing to another customer, and I heard that customer say, "NO ... y'all are good!" Of course, I figured they were talking about me ... the customer. Jocelyn approached my vehicle with a bag and said, "tell me again what was wrong with your order yesterday ... haha." It hurt my feelings greatly! I am a great customer of Rosa's Cafe!! I love the food, and visit EVEN THOUGH THE ORDER IS USUALLY WRONG WHEN I GET HOME! I work in a fast-paced law firm and work hard, so when I get off and think about Rosa's Cafe ... I have something specific in mind to, and have thought about it all day! 5 times out of 63 visits have been correct ... that means 58 visits were WRONG when I got home! Unbelievable. I believe that the Drive Thru Team plays around too much, and the Managers do not enforce good manners, good customer service, general courteous behavior, and in 63 visits I do not see it getting any better! This was my first time ever to eat a Rosa's Cafe. The food was very good, a lot more better than Taco Cabana. The restaurant was nice and clean. I went on a Wednesday morning and it wasn't very busy at all. I definitely will be back to try their lunch/dinner options. The breakfast plates were a very good price only $5.69 each and portions were very big. I think next time I will order one plate and extra flour tortillas and just split the meal. read more

We eat here for the first time will never go back. We were greeted at the door, place was clean, but the food was horrible. The enchiladas were cold and dry, the rice and beans were cold, nothing hot here at all. Taco Bell's food is hotter than here. Was extremely disappointed. read more

Rosas Cafe finally came to Mesquite Texas, two blocks from me, so after the opening caos, one morning I went for breakfast, Looked for breakfast tacos, or a combo plate with rice and beans, I got my order, and looked forward to a good meal, the salsa bar and coffee was Great! but my dis's appointment was big! when I tried the BEANS! tasted Horrible with a metal taste like they came from a CAN! not made in the kitchen, horrible beans. if you don't taste the difference, you must be sick, or death, Beans need to be made/ cooked in the kitchen, with the right ingredientes, not out of a can. what a waste of money! never again. mesquite resident. breakfast eater. read more
