The way you can improve is sending out reminders to the parents once a quarter as well as hold a school wide parent teacher forum at least once a year. Remind them that vandalism and littering is a crime. Some of the residence have cameras with live feed. A few of those that live by the school are fed up with the excuses that come out of the current principals mouth. Early education, which was one of it's strongest aspects, has been reduced to complete incompetency. It's unwelcoming, no-longer child centered and unsafe. The kids do not look or sound joyful in their classes. Kindergarten, a non-academic year, caused my young child so much stress that I wish I had never enrolled him there. Visiting other Waldorf schools in San Diego, the Bay Area and Portland, I firmly believe this particular school needs to revamp everything if they hope to sustain themselves. It's sad to see what has become of the school.

Every morning, they race down my block with reckless disregard for the safety of this community. Despite our efforts to protect our neighborhood--fighting to install stop signs, speed humps, and lowering the speed limit to 15 mph--they still drive through our narrow street as if it were the 805 during a car chase. I know the principal works hard to remind families to slow down and respect the community in which this school resides. Unfortunately, too many ignore those reminders. Their disregard makes it clear they simply do not care about the safety of the residents who live here.
