If you are a military family, THIS SCHOOL IS PERFECT FOR YOU! The staff is amazing, caring, and knowledgeable. Ms. Rachelle, Isabel, Miriam, and Ms. Carm are the absolute best. The director Ms. Rachelle is an absolute God send. We are a military family, and my husband is constantly on deployment, she tries to accommodate my schedule and be helpful as much as she can. One of my sons was diagnosed with Autism and part of reason I knew to get him tested was because of a recommendation from Ms. Rachelle after she noticed some autistic behavior and we discussed what I observed at home as well. She has no problem tailoring the learning environment to make sure every child's needs are being met, for example, one of my sons needed to be challenged more academically and not only did she provide that challenge for him at school but she also provided him resources to take home as well. She goes above and beyond for the children at the daycare and makes sure EVERYONE feels included. I could go on and on about the wonderful staff at Rising Star Preschool. Cleanliness and safety across the board have been a non-issue, communication and photos almost daily exceeded our expectations, the ability to bring my son to school early or pick him up late (if traffic is crazy) has been the most mental anxiety relief blessing I can't even explain. I know that whether my child eats breakfast with me or not, he will still eat at school (and then at least two more times before he sees me again), and that is an incredible comfort to my hungry inner child. Mrs. Julie personally and professionally operates by faith and you can feel how much doing what she does each day means to her. That type of powerhouse of a heart trickles into everyone around it, and it gives me great confidence, knowing not only her heart ripples into the teachers, but also into my child each morning. She is gentle and kind and graceful and I'm thrilled my child gets to come here, because it is a privilege. He (and me) was having a really hard time with drop offs, and she found out that giving him a task to bring to the cubby and then redirecting him with a puzzle (to do with her) made it all better -- It sounds simple but this was a big deal for our family. If my older child could go to Little Lamb we would bring him here, the personal care and attention to align with Gods principles speaks volumes and all we really wanted is Ephesians 6:4. My son was in diapers when he enrolled and is almost fully potty trained after only a few months at Little Lamb. They aren't a Christian school by name only, the children arent just blessings miracles and little lambs to be cute, Mrs. Julie is not a good teacher or director only, but genuinely, this is a safe haven run by an incredible shepherd. Kids Ave is special!…read more Our son went to Kids Ave from 18mo-4y (when he started TK). Dropping your kid off at Kids Ave is like dropping your kid off with family. Kids Ave is truly a special place. All of the teachers are incredible with the kids. Each kid is nurtured in a personalized manner. The classrooms are beautiful and Kids Ave is always so clean and beautifully decorated. The teachers put in so much effort to each student, to the crafts/projects/learning, and to their classrooms. The outside space has room to run and an awesome sandbox! And, the kids are served great food every day (all of which is included)! Our son was SUPER prepared to start TK. He is confident and excited, plays well with others, follows instructions, can write his name, knows all of his letters/sounds, all thanks to Ms. Karla and the other teachers at Kids Ave. Also, while Kids Ave is a center but it's not a corporate center, which makes a difference. They have that personalized touch and are willing to work with each family. Elisa and Susu are doing a great job running Kids Ave...and loving on all the kids! Finally, we've loved Kids Ave from the start, but we didn't really have anything to compare it to. However, our daughter is currently at a different daycare center. And that center is just fine. She's cared for and safe and all that good stuff....but it's just NOT Kids Ave. We're excited for her to turn 18mo so that she too can go to Kids Ave too!
