It's a great school with even greater students who all work hard to exceed in their studies and life.

We are new to Franklin (we choiced in) and I feel like we have finally landed in a dream. We came…read morefrom a nightmarish charter). My daughter's teacher is incredibly supportive, the staff and principal are super engaged with the children, the curriculum (STEAM) is fabulous and the FAMILIES are involved and happy (that right there speaks VOLUMES). Just come to one of their awesome fundraisers and you will see. I am sad this school only goes until the 5th grade. Thanks for being so awesome, Franklin Elementary!

If I could give this school a negative rating, I absolutely would. My experience with this school,…read morethe current principal, and some of the staff has been extremely disappointing and, at times, deeply concerning. I witnessed several incidents that I found completely unacceptable, particularly in the way some staff members interacted with students. I witnessed teachers yelling at and physically handling students in ways that I felt were inappropriate and unnecessary. As parents, we send our children to school trusting that they are safe, respected, and cared for. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my children were receiving that kind of environment. The staff also came across as extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate when it came to the needs and well-being of the students. What concerned me most was the effect these experiences had on my children's mental and emotional health. The situation became so serious that I ultimately felt I had no choice but to pull my children from the school because I could see how negatively the environment was affecting them emotionally and mentally. No parent should have to make that decision because their child no longer feels safe, comfortable, or supported at school. I also personally observed what I perceived to be favoritism involving the current principal's daughter and her friends who attend the school. Because the principal has a daughter enrolled there, I felt that her daughter and her group of friends received different treatment and accommodations compared with other students. From my perspective, this created the appearance of favoritism and was extremely concerning as a parent. I believe school leadership should maintain the same level of fairness and professionalism for every student, regardless of their relationship to the administration. As for the current principal, Principal Bice, I personally do not feel that she provides the kind of leadership this school needs. I found her approach to be unprofessional and felt that my concerns were not handled in a way that made me feel heard or supported as a parent. In my opinion, the school would benefit from stronger leadership that genuinely prioritizes the safety, well-being, and mental health of its students. The one principal I had a genuinely positive experience with was Ms. Mohammed. She was, in my opinion, an excellent principal who truly cared about the students and families. It was unfortunate that she left, because I genuinely believe the school could have been a much better place if she had remained. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly encourage parents to do their research, ask questions, and pay close attention to how the school handles concerns before enrolling their children. I personally would not recommend this school, and I am ultimately relieved that I made the decision to remove my children when I did.
