I went on the recommendation of a co-worker looking for a specific item. What I found was a lovely store with beautiful things, right now it's mostly Christmas but they have a bridal registry, clothing, home decor and tabletop. Staff is friendly and helpful even in the crush of Christmas shopping. I'm looking forward to shopping there again in the non-Christmas season to see their regular offerings.

They do carry really good brands, but I'm not spending $50-$80 on just a sweat TOP. Yes I capitalized top because this is just the price for the top not the bottom included. For an entire sweat outfit it's like $100-$120 dollars, or one shirt (not matching tops and bottoms) is like $70-$80. I'm also not interested in spending $150 on 2-3 pieces that my daughter will only wear for like 2-3 months because she grew out of it. I like the best bang for my buck. I like to come here when I am looking for something specific for my daughter. Like, I just bought her 1st birthday picture outfits from here. They are adorable but once again expensive. I don't mind spending extra for pictures because it's a memory I will have forever and it's not often I'm spending $200 on 5 articles of clothing she'll grow out of. For a necklace, tutu, headband, bloomers, a plain pink shirt with ONE spelled out, and another headband the total came to be $198 (with tax). See my point, and out of all of this she can only wear the headbands and necklace again. Overall, The Spotted Goose has the cutest clothes and friendly staff but like I said they are more on the expensive side. I definitely pull them out of my pocket for special occasions.

The Spotted Goose is a charming and somewhat eclectic children's boutique in the heart of Oakley. I walked in hoping to find a unique gift for my best friend's newest addition. I didn't leave disappointed! The only problem was that I had too many choices to choose from. Each piece was different, charming, and something I would love to unwrap someday. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly, helpful woman. I explained what I was looking for and she asked thoughtful questions, leading her to some recommendations. They had just gotten in a shipment of child snoods, a type of neck warmer you can pull up over your head like a hood. There were homemade baby teethers, sensory blankets, Ohio bibs, crocheted crowns, hand sewn moccasins chic outfits, patterned bloomers and of course, Sophie the Giraffe. How could I choose?!?! While I was trying to find the perfect gift, more mothers came in and their children were able to play in the colorful area in the back. There was a drawing table, books and plenty of activity space to keep them busy. What a cool place! Where was this store when I was a kid? I ended up selecting onesie stickers for the new mom to catalogue the changes of her little girl (and most likely post on facebook). They were a pattern I hadn't seen in chain stores, and that made me love them even more. In addition to being the cutest baby, her facebook album will also be the best. The wrapping was beautiful. They did free gift wrapping- white and silver polka dotted paper inside a cellophane bag, tied with a pink ribbon. I selected an adorable gift tag and cannot wait to give it to my friend. The sales woman was wonderful, welcoming and attentive to each customer. Oakley is lucky to have this gem and I cannot wait to return when my friends come to visit!

He was told that they would not issue a credit because the tag was removed (eventhough it was in the bag). At the time of purchase I had asked about the return policy and was only told of the 30 days. No one pointed out that the entire policy was on the receipt in very small print. Iwas very upset about this. My husband did not take no for an answer. He stood outside the store and finally the 'manager' came out and said he would give him the credit. We will not ever purchase this brand again. It was way over priced at $128.00 but I thought it was worth it. I do not feel that way anymore.

Last weekend my cousin and I made reservations at the newest nail salon and bar in the kenwood…read morearea. The first that made this a must visit is that it is another black owned business in Cincinnati. We walked in and we were warmly greeted by all of the staff! Since the opening was just the week prior they were still unloading products but none the less they were ready to service us. I received a regular pedicure and my cousin received the jelly pedicure. The ambiance was cute, feminine and classy. The decor was super cute as well! In addition, they have a full service bar/lounge. And the music was a nice mix of current hits and throwbacks. The only things I could say that need improvement is having a service list posted or on hand that the techs can give to customers. If i has known there was a jelly pedicure option I would have gotten it. In addition, during my pedicure the water started to get cold just because they don't have bowls that have massage jets to keep the water circulating. Other than that no complaints! The techs are all nice and they take their time unlike other nail salons where they rush you out. I will be returning for sure!

Like most kid's clothing boutiques, most of what they carry is expensive. I usually only come when I need something for a specific occasion. Also, a lot of their clothes are more of a dressy feel. They have a few outfits for casual wear but most are fancy. I come here when I need bows, dressy sweaters, dressy shoes, sandals, or other certain specifics. If I need a dress for a specific occasion I'll come here. I usually don't shop here just for everyday wear. However, their clothes are cute. The service is always very welcoming and accommodating. I enjoy shopping here the most when I have a few specific items that I'm looking for. I'm on their email list, so I know when they have sales. This is a great time to stock up on clothes for your child. I once shopped their 90% off clearance sale and I was amazed at the quality of clothes I got for so little. When they have special releases for holidays etc, I find it worth it to go for the best variety. I appreciate having a place to shop for secondhand clothes, and not have to sacrifice quality.
