Unfortunately, that was the best part of the experience. It took about 10 minutes for my server to come out and take my order. My steak arrived well done even though I ordered it medium, and after that, my server disappeared. Two more tables were seated outside, and they were left waiting with menus as well. After about 15 minutes, I finally went inside to ask the host for help. A different server eventually came out and explained that my original server had gone on break. I was surprised that no one had communicated this or arranged for someone else to take over her tables. At that point, I asked for the check and a to-go box. To their credit, they removed the steak from the bill, but the overall service had already left a bad impression. Maybe I caught them on an off day, but between the overcooked steak and lack of communication, I don't see myself returning anytime soon. I will stick to Urban plates for a healthy option with great customer service.

The sauce is very good on its own though. - Lastly, tiramisu: THE BEST, I have never had a better tiramisu in San Diego. 100% would come back.

Fun Fact: Ramen Nagi started in Tokyo and became known for its bold, highly customizable ramen. And…read morehonestly, the customization is one of my favorite parts about coming here. I've been to Ramen Nagi a handful of times, and it's one of those places I know I can count on when I'm craving a really satisfying bowl of ramen. In facts, its probably my favorite ramen spot ever. First, the must-order for me is the potstickers. They come connected, so you literally get to break them apart yourself. It sounds like a small thing, but it's actually pretty fun, and the potstickers themselves are delicious. Crispy on the bottom, juicy inside and perfect for dipping. But the ramen is really where Ramen Nagi shines. I love how customizable it is. You can choose your broth, richness, noodle texture, spice level and all the little additions, so you can really build the bowl exactly how you want it. I usually like having the ability to control the richness and spice because sometimes I want something comforting and rich, and other times I want something a little lighter. You can also control how chewy you want the noodles to be. The noodles have a great texture and the broth is flavorful without needing a ton of extra toppings to make it interesting. There is also plenty of variety, so you can come back and try something different each time. I also appreciate that the portions are filling without feeling like you're just getting a giant bowl of noodles. Don't leave without ordering the potstickers. And definitely take advantage of all the ramen customization options.

We took his recommendation, one slice of the Meat Lovers Deep Dish, and a half/half pizza with the Brooklyner and the Mother in Law. This place has probably one of the best pies we've had in a while. We loved that the same server kept checking in on us to see how we liked the pizza, and just loved the overall vibe of the place. We ended up coming back a second time to try the Master Deep Dish (one of the same server's recommendations) and we loved it. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a good pizza in La Jolla!

I love that you can buy pizza by the slice, and you can even get a combo of 6 individual slices with a large salad and garlic knots--great idea! I think I was sitting in the store for at least 30 minutes while a family member waited in our car and watched several people park, get their orders and leave. Two people who ordered after us received their food before we did. I finally stood up and only then did an associate crabbily pack up our order and give it to us. When we first arrived, no one even showed up at the counter for at least five minutes. There was another customer waiting behind us as well. My sandwich (Happy Hippie) was not very good...insubstantial and put together in a blah manner. A family member who had the "not so fried chicken sandwich" said it was too salty. I paid $62 for this order (with a tip, which I had added before the long wait...) It obviously wasn't a good value, This is a beautiful and clean store but a general lack of enthusiasm from the associates, inconsistent customer service, high prices, and mediocre quality food will dissuade me from making any future visits to this location.

It's so modular and easy to order from the table through our phone app,, it honestly felt as high-tech as Tony Stark commanding F.R.I.D.A.Y. from his suit tbh. Although this was not our first time eating here, they must have changed the business model, as the last time we went was almost a decade ago. Their menu has changed significantly, and although they were excellent before, I think they are even better. We tried pretty much all of the proteins, from the steak, chicken, pork rib, ribs, and they were all excellent very fresh ingredients. The meats were so perfectly cooked and tender they basically fell apart easier than Thanos's army at the end of Endgame lol. We especially love the side dishes. The broccolini was excellent with the sesame sauce. We loved the brussels sprouts as well. And I really loved the beef and mushroom soup. It had such a comforting and rich flavor that it felt like Scarlet Witch used some chaos magic in the kitchen to get it exactly right. French fries were pretty good, and pretty standard. That was the only dish that was average, but everything else was excellent. Good service and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We even brought our pups! The patio was so spacious and chill it basically felt like relaxing at the Avengers compound after a mission. Parking is super easy. The manager admitted they were having trouble keeping the food warm and offered a refund. Looking back, I wish I had just taken it and left. The meal was completely inedible and a waste of $27.
