Fantastic!! What a cute little store on a familiar corner. Great selection of unique plants at a wonderful value. A helpful employee willing to transplant your purchase into a pot for you and answer any questions you may have. Add in a rewards system and I'm all about this store. I always say, a bad day is made better with a new plant.

Meet my new best bud, rOOTS KC and their storefronts in the Westside and Zona Rosa. Locals may know this name from their history of popping up all over KC, but they also have their own beautiful spaces full of "Cool Plants for Cool People." Not just a clever tagline, during my visits, I lose count of how many times I say, "This place is so cool!" And while I don't consider myself super cool, this tropical oasis has me beLEAFing it. Admittedly, I have a history of being a black thumb girly, but the customizable format of rOOTS gives me confidence I can change that! At rOOTS, every plant has a QR code for you to scan for information, care instructions, and a contact for additional support. You can also get your plant professionally potted at no charge. It literally takes out all the guesswork and will have you saying, "You grow!" In addition to dozens of plant varieties and pots, they have plant accessories, home goods, and gifts. And they host events EVERY week, so be sure you're following them to see what fun they have planned. So who's with me in becoming KC's newest plant parent?! I'm ROOTing for you!

Gotta love a good plant shop. rOOTS KC offers a variety of plants, as well as planters and small gift items. Conveniently located in a spacious, airy corner shop at the intersection of Madison and W 17th, it makes it easy to stop in after grabbing a coffee or lunch across the street. Local and family owned, you've gotta check this place out next time you need some greens.

I love supporting local plant shops, so I was excited to find Roots KC on my way to lunch. The shop offers a good variety of plants - easy care, pet safe, cactus, rare tropicals, and then some! There's also a great assortment of plant supplies and plant-related goods, making Roots KC a fun and unique experience.

New place that's only been open about a month. Super friendly staff that's very helpful. A wonderful display of indoor tropical style plants that all have QR codes that tell you about them including pet friendly. This little shop will also replant it for you in a pot of your choice so it's ready to take home. Prices are a little moderate/high but worth it for the quality. If your an indoor plant lover it's a great place to stop and see. Oh btw the candles smell fantastic!

The BEST plant shop in the KC area! Amazing customer service, dog friendly, and have a QR code on every single plant to help you succeed.

Not a fun experience after driving up from OP to get that serotonin boost, but they helped make it much less stressful than it could have been. Truly awesome people! Their clematis and hellebores come in so many varieties. And the alocasia plants were plentiful! I was in heaven selecting plants to bring home. Follow them on FB to see their new arrivals.

They had so many beautiful flowers and plants it made me wish a) I was a green thumb and b) I had a space to keep all of them in! My favorite display was Greece because I'd lived there a while ago, so it was fun to see their concept. That said, though, I loved all of the gardens. They were well planned and fun to take a quick stroll through/around. As to pricing, I labeled this as moderate, but really I think it just depends on what plant, planter, garden art, etc., you're looking for--the prices seem reasonable to me. One lady there suggested I subscribe to their newsletter to find out about upcoming events. I definitely want to go again, if for nothing else than to walk down the paths to see the blooming flowers.

I sometimes notice some religious undertones where which feels odd, but everyone is nice and it's a fun spot to spend a dreary day when you need a pick me up.
