Which when I had set the appointment up was told that they most generally send extractions out to a surgeon. After the last cancellation I was told that she was going to charge me $50.00 for not giving a 24 hr notice. That was ok, I scheduled my next appointment only because someone else had answered and I was informed that I could go to a surgeon on Hill Rd. (I Use YourRide-which means Genesee Co. only) the previous person had told me that they sent patients to 59 in Hartland, not covered by YourRide. I was willing to pay the money, but when you live on Disability bills are hard to pay. In good faith I called today to tell them that I do not have the $50.00 fee due to a late cancellation. My appointment was for this Wednesday, August 6. Now mind you my emergency is a back molar that has split in half. This is the 5th tooth that has done this since Primary Bone Cancer. It doesn't hurt at this point, but it will, it is difficult to chew on just the one side. Why is it when I was coming in find out if they could take it out, the others just basically fell out. There's no surgery to it. There is no money in it, when a general dentistry doesn't do general, anymore but sends everyone to a surgeon. But instead concentrates on Cosmetic Services instead..... I was going to pay, just because I am poor doesn't mean I'm going to rip you off. I wish I could say the employees name but I won't stoop to her non-compassionate attitude towards someone with a tooth dangling in their mouth. I as a former healthcare professional wonders what happened to compassionate patient care. It used to be a higher calling, like Pastors, Priests and Clergy. Doctors, Nurses, Medical Staff were expected to be ...More. I know we are all human but when did we lose our pride in what we do for a living? I learned early, what staff are like at this place. I've seen a lot of Doctors lose patients not because they're a bad doctor but because of the DOCTORS STAFF should not be working in the Healthcare Field at all.

I had oral surgery as my tooth was extracted & the socket filled with cadaver bone to begin the seven month grafting period. There was also a suspicious lump on my tongue that was removed for biopsy. I noticed it a year ago & forgot about it. People, this Covid thing has us all going nuts, so take care of yourself. Especially now. Dr. Bonine has on average seven emergencies a day. So if they fit you in to take care of your emergency, relax & enjoy the beautiful building & landscaping. There is also a lovely outdoor area, if you prefer to wait outside. Sorry to be this wordy, but I wanted to make a special attempt to thank the doc and his staff for make what potentially could have been a horrible day into a very pleasant day. BTW - Fear of needles here, there was no pain. Beautiful office overlooking a lovely pond with tons of birds. Great music & especially great people. The entire staff is beyond wonderful from the people who greet you in the office, to Heather who is an absolute peach, to Dr. Black. One of the best parts is, with so many offices quitting participation with Delta Dental Michigan, this office still participates so that was a big win!
