Staff was friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Dr. Racek was amazing! Definately recommend if you need a root canal.

I cannot leave my view on the actual dentist, but I fully believe your staff, particularly front end staff like reception and call center folk really show the face and heart of a business. And with that every negative review across platforms all line up with my own experience and the experience of the person whom I was trying to help get them to actually answer a question and try to get them to communicate to the person seeking dental care from them who could not do calls to or from them while working, and they refused to answer any questions in a voicemail, simple things, like, 'Do you take care credit?' or 'How much is your x-ray out of pocket?'. To which I was told by an unnamed receptionist that the person had to call in, even though they explained their hours clashed with the dentist. To which I asked 'Is this policy that you cannot leave them this information?' For which I was told 'No, we just don't like to do it this way' and when I asked to make sure I understood again If it was actually policy or if she chose to just refuse to do it, she laughed at me, and hung up without a word, mind you was laughed at multiple times during the conversation, and given heavy annoyed sounding sighs, for asking questions and requesting for confirmation from someone who's job it is to do this, that I understood what was being said and did not give incorrect information to the person I was trying to inquire for and get them to work with them and just leave a simple message answering simple questions. I had a script which I was referring to to make sure I could try to get everything out as I have i a lot of anxiety and some learning disabilities which can cause me to get tongue tied stammers and fumble with my words. In the end I was left feeling mocked, ignored and like people don't matter here. As I said, I cannot leave my view on the actual dentist, but if they are the one answering the reviews, I read about them accusing someone's bad experience as them having the wrong dentist because all of our reviews are soooo glowing and the front end lady is soooo good at their job it could not be them. So either this dentist does not know his 'great' employee and she lies to and deceives him, or much worse, the dentist excepts, allows, and condones this treatment of patients and potential patients alike. I would recommend if at all possible find a different place, seems to be a bit of a coin toss by review if your going to be treated decent like a person, or mocked for various things by the receptionist. To me it lands awkwardly in the territory of dislike or disdain for people with government related insurances or learning and communication difficulties, because at no point was I asked to repeat something as if I was not understood, but when I asked to have something clarified? 'CLICK' that by itself spoke volumes. So now they are refusing care because the person wanted them to do something easy in a voicemail and themselves left a review to go elsewhere, they would not service. Does that sound to you like a place that cares equally for all possible patients?

This was my post on their FB December 19th. I am pretty sure I posted a yelp review but don't see…read moreit so this is from their FB review: had been going to this dentist's office for almost a decade. I had 4 crowns put on my front teeth 6 years ago and had been experiencing bleeding between the two front teeth for years. Also at that time I noticed the bottom two front teeth getting a "yellowish" look at the bottom. I was told "oh that's your root...is it bothering you?" I would say no and they would say "oh well if it starts hurting let us know". Last september I went for my cleaning and they did the panoramic extra. Not once in the LAST 5 YEARS had they taken xrays of my front upper or lower teeth. Long story I won't drag out but he sent me to the periodontist who told me both my upper front teeth were having root resorption - a rare problem but from me previously having knocked them out years ago. But she was ABSOLUTELY STUNNED that he had not referred me for my bottom teeth and that I was in jeopardy of losing several of them as well. She actually said it TWICE. I am now facing having both top front teeth removed and replaced with implants, orthodontics to hopefully push my lower teeth down so the periodontist can perform a frenectomy ( which was causing my roots to show) and a gum graft. When confronted as to how he missed this all he could say was "I don't see your xrays on your front teeth". "I am not sure" .I am now facing HUGE bills to have all this work done For years I asked about my exposed roots and was told "oh do they hurt? if not let us know if they do". Run - don't walk from here! I wish there was a negative stars button!! This was their reply: Brighton Family Dentistry PLLC Hello Joann, we would like to extend to you our most sincere apologies regarding your recent experience with us. We've been providing Brighton residents with quality care for over 40 years, and we want to keep going for many more. It is our goal to help every patient feel welcome, safe, and cared for, and that is something we take very seriously. We would love to speak to you personally to discuss your concerns. Please feel free to reach out to our office manager at 810-227-4224. I just got around to calling them as I was dealing with all kinds of other stuff and here is my post from last week: Just a follow up. I did reach out to you today to ask for all my records to be sent over to my new dentist as I now start to work on having my second front tooth extracted for an implant. I asked you how there was not any x-rays that had been taken of my front teeth upper or lower for 5 years and your answer was the same as Dr. Petersburg. "I don't know how that happened." I just spent the last 18 months in braces to push my front bottom teeth back into my gums and endured an incredibly painful gum graft in March to save them. At the same time pulling my front tooth down so it could be pulled out before it fell out and I would have had no bone left to put an implant into. The time, expense and pain I shared with you was answered with "I am not sure how that happened". I guess maybe you did not realize it was me as you stated above that you would love to personally discuss my concerns. Negative stars are not enough for your review.
