I really don't write reviews but if you have a child with autism I highly recommend this place from the front office to the hygienists and the dentist herself. I've been stuck, poked, prodded, cut, sliced, diced, injected, neglected, and dissected. I've bounced off pavement after being hit head on a motorcycle. Dental pain, however...I CAN'T STAND!!! I have never had a regular dentist. I've been to a number of them. I just got back from a filling...a BIG filling, by Dr. Tim. I felt NOTHING! Now I will admit that I'm pretty numb, but I DON'T CARE! First dentist I've ever been to that hasn't hit a nerve and about sent me through the ceiling. I had to have a bit of work done, as I don't regularly go, but that has changed. I'll be going back to get a few other things done that were not as pressing, and I believe that I'll actually keep my next appointment! I don't usually do that. It's a nice, clean office located by 6 & Newberg. Staff is friendly and efficient. How about that...I have a regular dentist! Wonders never cease!

Instead of Dr.Barber trying to clam her down she got right in my daughters face and and raised her voice at my daughter telling her to calm down and to stop crying that it did not hurt! That is no way for any doctor/dentist to talk to a child especially a Pedatric dentist. I was so upset at the way she was yelling and talking to my daughter I had to leave the room and get my husband to go in for the rest of the visit. Needless to say we will never go back there!

The office manager and billing person are unresponsive to requests to fix an incorrect billing. I was billed a copay for a 100 percent covered cleaning. Today, 4/23/25 | was told that Dr R is out of network for me for my appt on 5/1/25. I've never met a Dr R. I was told I could pay out of pocket. I was also told my 5/1/25 appt needed to be cancelled because there won't be a Dr in the office that day. It's almost laughable. I will call my insurance company/ Aetna tomorrow and see if any complaint can be filed. If you want an erratic dentist office that has a revolving door staff, no hygienist, incompetent billing, and last minute cancellations for your 6 month check up, this office is the place for you.

And we have had many dentists, dso's etc.in our lifetime and Dr. Stanford, in addition to Sheiva is not only a great dentist but one of the nicest caring professional I have ever met. It took me a long time to find a dentist I liked after moving to Ypsi two years ago and leaving…read morebehind a dentist I'd had for 20 years in Chicago. The first dentist I tried insisted that I needed, literally, many thousands of dollars' worth of work to correct "severe periodontal disease" and numerous "serious" cracks in my teeth that would have to be repaired with crowns and other violently expensive measures. This was news to me. My Chicago dentist had done a crown for a tooth that was seriously cracked but never mentioned any others that needed that kind of work. When I said that my previous dentist had also never mentioned any level of gum disease, let alone "severe," the dentist and hygienist both smirked and rolled their eyes and said that maybe she just hadn't noticed. Right. Way to gain the trust of a new patient: Insult her previous dentist, whom she liked enough that she stayed with her for 20 years. Second dentist I tried was like a factory. Very efficient, very cold. I didn't like it at all. And then I found Dr. Cole and his wonderful hygienist, Linda. Both of them said that my gums were very healthy and in great shape, and after X-rays and a thorough exam, Dr. Cole did not recommend any kind of extensive work. I asked specifically about a crack in a front tooth that the first dentist I tried had insisted was dangerous and needed to be addressed immediately to save the tooth. Dr. Cole said the crack was a shallow surface crack and could be fixed for cosmetic reasons if I wanted. Otherwise, I could just leave it as it is. Everyone in the office was extremely friendly and helpful. They took their time talking to me and answering my questions, and they didn't try to make me hand over my life savings for dental work I didn't need. Excellent! Finally, I have a dentist I trust and like. PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Cole is in a beautiful new office at a new location, not far from the old office: 1974 North Huron, right across the street from the big white EMU bubble.

Well, this dental emergency turned into a true blessing in disguise…read more I chipped my front tooth the other day and was pretty freaked because I don't have dental insurance, and I'm not familiar with this area. So, I looked on Yelp and found this dentist with a high score, and happened to be one of the few offices open to answer my call on that day. They were very helpful and friendly right off, on the phone, but I was still contemplating skipping a visit, just because I was afraid it would cost a lot. But I decided to go to make sure there were no cracks, and since it was in the front I didn't want it to look bad. I'm so, so glad that I went. The intake people treat you like family, literally. I never knew what that phrase meant until I met these people. It feels like they are just picking up on a conversation they had with you previously.... they are completely comfortable with patients (strangers.) Right away they treat you like they are going to know you forever. Dr. Cole fixed my chipped tooth without a filling or anesthetic in only a few minutes with no pain or discomfort at all. Then he checked all my teeth and told me everything going on with them, which was great. He could tell right away how much I floss. It's nice to hear there is a pay off for all that flossing. The best part was completely unexpected, though... two things: 1. He smoothed out that chip in a way that makes my teeth actually look straighter. They look way better than they did before I chipped one. It looks like I got braces or something. Five minutes of work, and my teeth look straight. That is crazy! 2. Because of the minimal amount of time and work; the minor damage to my tooth, and since I had no insurance, he charged me hardly anything! It ended up costing less than dinner at Casey's. That's crazy! Anyway, you get the picture that this was the best visit that anyone could ever have to the dentist. If I ever move out of Ann Arbor I'm coming back here for dental work.

It wasn't a quick process, and included Invisalign as well. Not only had I had rounds of infections due to being immunocompromised, these infections combined with serious antibiotics, discolored my teeth. My teeth displayed every color of the artist's palette from green to yellow and everything in between. It has been a long process, my lower jaw is done, uppers are temporary crowns. In two days, I will have these temps scanned, and in three weeks my permanents crowns will be complete. Can't wait til the finished product is complete. Stay tuned for photos!!!

When she was desperately trying to convice me that I needed to have my entire set of teeth replaced and not with a partial and just two implants, I keept telling her that I was not an actor nor a model and at 70 years old I didn't think it was worth the multi-thousand dollors she wanted to charge. She became upset and informed me that she wasn't just a dentist but a specialist and didn't involve herself in petty dental care. She was rude and dismissive.

A second opinion at another dentist revealed that it was just an old sealant getting a bit soft and so I had the sealant replaced by the second dentist (Dr. Choi). Schmude is a nice (but eccentric) guy, but needs to get into 21st century dentistry in my opinion.
