Here are the pluses and minuses of my experience. Pluses: * Rapid and courteous response to my initial request * Quick turnaround for an appointment * Quoted me a 2 hr arrival window, which they met. * Affordable service. * Patio is nice and clean and he cleaned splashes from the adjacent windows/ doors. Minuses: * I had told them about my pool right next to the patio, but Brooks didn't take any special attention to prevent some dirt and sand from entering the pool (e.g, putting down plastic film). Nor did they provide a method for cleaning it afterwards, which led to clogging the pump intake line, requiring a lot of effort on my part to clear. * On the patio itself, I needed to use a blower to remove residual stuff that the power wash didn't deal with. Ideally, they would have done that as part of the service. I would give them 3.5 stars if that was an option: I feel 3 is too harsh. 4 is probably a bit generous given what I needed to do afterwards. So, be wary if you have a pool nearby that they offer you a solution to prevent crap getting in it.

The solar installers were very complimentary. Communication with them was great during the quoting and scheduling process. Their pricing was good. Not the cheapest, but less than half of two other companies. They also didn't use the high-pressure tactics some others used when asked to quote. The one thing I would make sure is to ask about payment mechanisms ahead of time. I ended up writing a check instead of using my credit card. That was unexpected. Aside from that, I am very happy with the results and will use them again for both the roof, and to clean the solar panels when the time comes.

I describe at the bottom of this message just how difficult this job was . They exceeded my expectations. Alex who did the work was professional, friendly, efficient and very hard-working. There were layers of pine needles on the roof and in the gutters. The gutters are a weird design and built into the eaves. He had to work from underneath and from the house side to get to them. The downspouts were completely clogged with pine needles. He had an amazing array of tools and hoses that made the job possible. It had not been cleaned in decades. They were weeds growing out of the top of the gutters and onto the roof - the layering of pine needles was so heavy. Alex pulled them out and even they had Roots that extended down into the downspouts. Again, I couldn't be more happy.

What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. He was very patient with us. We LOVE how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Lumina Builders for all of our future projects.

His crew was great! Their work was very detailed and clean. The job was done within three days and all of the work area, including the driveway, was cleaned up. They even noted my falling-apart fence gate so Michael gave me a very reasonable quote and they did a great job fixing it for me. There were a lot of details for after-care and I've texted Michael multiple times to confirm. He texts back quickly and I never get the impression he's annoyed (I've sent a lot of texts!). No one else who came to give a bid gave a good solution or just didn't know how to do that. So the combination of a good bid and confidence in his knowledge of landscaping made this an easy choice. But best of all, he and his crew delivered on everything that was in the design plus things we decided to add. Now we actually enjoy being in our garden. Thank you!

We had been quoted anywhere between $5,000-$15,000 to replace our sliding patio doors with French…read moredoors. Our garage is detached, so we could not lock our old patio doors, meaning if we wanted to use our garage, we either had to leave the house unlocked or walk around the block to our front door. We were told by all the other contractors that our doorway was a weird size, and that they were unable to install the doors without cutting into our drywall and stucco and removing our patio stairs. We were also told this would be a project that took multiple days. I posted our other quotes to Yelp to see if other contractors could beat it, and Sivan responded. Oded from Sivan came in and confirmed what I suspected: That what we were told by other contractors was wrong, and that they could easily replace our sliding patio doors with French doors with a lock, and that it could be done via retrofitting and would only take a matter of hours. Everyone at Sivan was easy to work with. My husband and I frequently have meetings during the day, so it's hard to have a call about house stuff. Everyone at Sivan was able to communicate via e-mail and text so we could handle things while in meetings, and they were super responsive even though we sometimes took months to respond because we had a baby since we originally reached out to them. We were able to get our doors done for $4,298.80, which was the best quote we had from any contractor and included labor, materials, and a warranty. In sum, we highly recommend Sivan if you are looking to replace your doors!

Also, the first two repairs were minor that were completed in a short time, but the last call was for a leaking drainage pipe in which there was quite a bit of "tear out and put-back" that needed to be done to complete the repair. RJC was able to complete the entire job which included drywall repair, painting, resetting tiles, and replacing fixtures within a week. They communicated with me the entire time and were able to keep the "inconvenience" to my renters at a minimum.
