If you have aches and pains or a sports/training injury, Dr. Light is the man to meet! I can't recommend him highly enough and I've even started sending friends and family to see him. If you are even remotely considering seeing a chiropractor, set an appointment with Dr. Light right away--you'll be glad you did. He has a passion for what he does, he produces measurable results, and he educates you along the way. It's too bad Yelp only offers five stars, because this guy's earned six in my book. So how'd I come to this conclusion about Dr. Light? Well... Alright, I'll admit it--my form was bad and I had too much weight on the cable when I injured myself at the gym. The deep ache and shooting pains in my neck, shoulder, and arm got so bad that I couldn't sleep. In fact, I could barely lift my arm. It didn't go unnoticed at home. "Go see a doctor," she said. "At least get it looked at," she urged. "I'm gonna drag you down to the ER if I have to," she threatened. I finally conceded, "fine, fine. I'll go down to the urgent care." Little did I know this would be a total waste of time. In hindsight, I wish I had gone to Dr. Light right from the beginning. All they managed to do down at the urgent care was waste 3 hours of my time and fail to identify my problem. Instead, they sent me home with a sling on one arm and prescriptions for ibuprofen and muscle relaxers in the other, all of which did nothing to address the source of my pain. I'm no doctor, but I had a nagging suspicion that I was dealing with more than just inflammation and muscle strain. I was desperate for relief and a real solution, so I called up Align Your Spine Chiropractic Wellness Center. By the way, the ladies in reception are absolute darlings--upbeat, kind, and wonderful to work with. They got me an appointment with Dr. Light the very next day. I explained to Dr. Light what had happened and answered his questions. He looked me over, checked this and that, and immediately identified a compression in my neck. That particular spot didn't even really hurt at the time but, lo and behold, it was pinching a nerve that just so happens to relate to each of the specific areas on me that I thought were injured. It turns out that my arm, shoulder, and neck muscles were more or less fine, but the nerves controlling them were being compromised, so if we fixed that then everything else downstream would go back to ship shape. It amazed me how Dr. Light knew all this intuitively and how he took the time to explain the whole condition to me in great detail. He provided immediate relief through some preliminary adjustments and discussed a treatment strategy with me that would cure the problem for good. He set very clear and reasonable expectations upfront and, within a few visits, he had already made faster progress than promised. I began to feel like myself again. Now the pain is completely gone and I'm back in the gym feeling strong and limber as ever. The best part though, and the reason I keep coming back to see Dr. Light, is that throughout the course of treatment and after, he's made holistic improvements to various other aspects of my life--all through his knowledge and all without the up-sell and dependency you might expect from practitioners with less integrity. About 4 years ago my husband, who works 10-14 hours in front of a computer, decided it was time to get his back adjusted. Because of time constraints, he wanted to find a chiropractic office close to his work. At that time, I was seeing another chiropractor, but after my husband insisted that I try his AMAZING doctor, I decided to pay a visit to Dr. Light. I am a new patient with Dr. Light and what can I say simple is he is a miracle worker! He spent over an hour and a half my first visit and was able to relieve the tremendous tension headache I had been experiencing for over a week while on vacation. During my second visit yesterday he provided me with a clear understanding on how the body can repair itself and how everything works together as well as how the body is affected when it is not functioning properly. I was referred to Dr. Light by my acupuncturist in my second trimester of my pregnancy. I have always had back and neck pain prior to my pregnancy however, during those months of 9 months my back definitely needed some more TLC than a massage and acupuncture could do! Dr. Light is the best! I have suffered with back pain for 10+ years and have gone to many doctors but he has been the only one that has really helped me.
