It began during my third pregnancy and my OBGYN at the time said it was just pressure from all the extra blood my body was creating. I waited one year with horrible pain in my leg and trying to manage it with compression sleeves/stockings on. No improvement. Finally my PCP recommended and referred me to see Dr. Carullo. From day one, Dr. Carullo knew right away my leg was not okay. He and his staff have all been friendly and professional, and I have had huge improvements with the treatments I have been receiving! Amazing quality of care from them all and he truly listens to what is bothering you and how he can help.

About 10 years ago, Dr. Bregman helped me finally resolve a very painful case of plantar fascilitis. Several years ago, I developed arthritis in my right big toe, and Dr. Bregman performed a joint replacement procedure that was extremely successful. I am thrilled with the results. My scar is barely visible, I have excellent mobility, and I am able to wear the majority of my shoes ~ including my heeled shoes and boots! Dr. Bregman is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and skilled, but what I appreciate most is his wonderful bedside manner. He genuinely listens, explains everything thoroughly, and I never feel rushed through an appointment. He takes the time to make sure I feel comfortable and understand my options. After more than 10 years of being in his care and having such positive experiences, I can honestly say that Dr. Bregman is the best. I would highly, highly, recommend him to anyone who needs a foot procedure or simply wants a podiatrist they can trust. I am extremely grateful for the care he has given me over the years! Carla S.

I have been a patient of this Dr. Wittenberg for quite some time, and prior to today, I had always…read morefound him pleasant and enjoyed seeing him. Unfortunately, my experience today completely changed my opinion. I have a plantar fibroma on the bottom of my left foot that has grown significantly and is now causing considerable pain while walking and even while sleeping. In the past, I received injections, but they were extremely painful and were no longer providing relief. Because of that, we previously discussed the possibility of surgery. During a previous visit, I was told that an MRI was needed before determining whether the fibroma could be surgically removed. My understanding from that conversation was that the MRI would help determine whether the fibroma was attached to the plantar fascia and whether surgery would be an appropriate option. I was unable to complete the MRI at that time because of financial circumstances. When I was finally ready to move forward, I scheduled it, but I was informed that the order had expired and that I needed to see the doctor again before a new order could be issued. That was the entire purpose of today's appointment. When he asked whether I had completed the MRI, I attempted to explain why I had not. Instead of allowing me to fully explain my circumstances, I felt that he repeatedly talked over me, called me "noncompliant," accused me of making excuses, questioned whether I was a surgical candidate, and ultimately told me that I should find another doctor to treat this problem. What made the interaction even more frustrating was receiving information today that seemed inconsistent with what I had previously been told regarding surgery. Today, he indicated that he does not perform surgery on these types of fibromas, which left me confused because our previous discussions were specifically about obtaining an MRI to determine whether mine could be surgically removed. If surgery was no longer something he was willing or able to perform, I would have appreciated having that explained to me clearly and respectfully. Instead, the conversation focused heavily on labeling me "noncompliant" and accusing me of making excuses. I understand that physicians make recommendations and that treatment plans can change based on medical circumstances. However, patients also have the right to make decisions regarding when they are financially and personally prepared to proceed with non-emergency testing or treatment. I did not continue returning for injections because I had already explained that they were painful and ineffective for me. My intention was to return when I was ready to complete the MRI and seriously pursue surgery--which is exactly what I was attempting to do. What upset me most was the lack of compassion and consideration for my circumstances. I did not feel heard. I felt dismissed and judged rather than treated like a patient who was trying to move forward with her care. I walked into the office expecting a routine follow-up and a renewed MRI order. I walked out feeling humiliated, extremely angry, and in tears after being told that perhaps I should find another physician. That was particularly disappointing because my previous experiences with this doctor had been positive. I never expected to be treated this way. Patients deserve clear and consistent communication about their treatment options, and they deserve to be spoken to respectfully even when a physician disagrees with their decisions or timeline. Unfortunately, I did not feel that I received either during today's appointment, and this experience has changed how I feel about continuing my care with this physician.

Dr. Yoojin has truly been a lifesaver for me. I was going…read morethrough one of the most stressful periods of my life. The stress became so severe that my heart was racing uncontrollably. My primary doctor was concerned about a possible heart attack and sent me to the emergency room. Most of the stress seemed to affect the back of my neck and my head as well, causing severe muscle tension and constant headaches. After fainting twice, I was honestly terrified that something even more serious, like a stroke, might happen. I truly believe I was very fortunate to find this clinic during such a frightening time with my health. Because of these stress-related symptoms, I sought help from a cardiologist, a neurologist, and even a psychiatrist. I truly appreciated their care and efforts, but unfortunately, I did not experience much noticeable improvement. It wasn't until I started receiving acupuncture treatments here that I finally began to feel my body slowly recovering. My stressful situation has not gone away, so even with consistent treatment, I am not completely symptom-free. However, after receiving acupuncture treatments from Dr. Yoojin, I could actually feel the muscles in the back of my neck beginning to release. The muscles that had felt like solid rock gradually became softer, the pressure and tension around my neck and head eased, and my headaches became much more manageable. I still visit the clinic every two weeks, and my condition has improved so much compared with when I first came here. Looking back, it honestly scares me to think about how much worse I might be feeling today if I had never found this clinic. What makes Dr. Yoojin special is not only her excellent acupuncture skills; she also genuinely cares about her patients and supports them emotionally. Every time I visit, I leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more hopeful. I had been to several other acupuncture clinics before and had concerns about their cleanliness and hygiene. This clinic, however, is very clean and well-maintained, which made me feel even more comfortable and confident receiving treatment here. Acupuncture may still be unfamiliar to many people in the United States, but if you are struggling with chronic muscle tension, neck pain, shoulder pain, stress-related symptoms, or nerve discomfort, I highly recommend giving this clinic a try. Thank you, Dr. Yoojin, from the bottom of my heart.
