After doing an extensive search on AV companies around New York, we settled on 1 Way Audio Visual. Miguel was the most responsive and most proactive person to provide a timely quote that fit our budget. He was willing to work with the demands of our CEO to integrate with the in-house AV team at the conference venue. The day of the event, his team arrived and setup on-time. During the event, they needed a little more hand-holding than my preferred vendor back home, which is probably standard for AV companies and definitely something I take for granted. I could have been more organized in giving more specific direction about what we expected from the technicians during the program, so that's just a reminder to anyone who reads this review. To my knowledge, 1 Way AV hires contractors to work their gigs instead of having the own in-house crew. Our sound technician was Peter, and he was phenomenal. He stood out above the rest of the staff members in providing professional service to our speakers and staying on top of the schedule provided. I didn't interact too much with the rest of the 1 Way AV crew. After a few hiccups in the beginning of our program and a screen resolution mishap throughout the day, everything operationally was smooth sailing.

Drove over to brooklyn and picked it up only to discover a dead battery and no charger. Thats unheard of customer service. Will gladly recommend and do business with again.

I needed a projector and some speakers because there were videos involved in the presentation. I contacted Technology Logistics Corporation and told them exactly what I was looking for. They told me everything I would need, and even recommended a microphone. I didn't even think about a microphone at the time, but it absolutely came in handy! I told them the date and time of the meeting and they said they would come set everything up. This was huge considering I had other things to worry about that day. The day arrived and Jonathan (the guy who came to set everything up) was there early and got everything working with more than enough time to spare. He asked me to test everything out to make sure it was the way I wanted it. The most important thing was that Jonathan didn't just set everything up and leave the wires everywhere. He took the time to make it looked as presentable as possible. His attention to detail reassured me that he took his job seriously. It turns out we had a last minute change to the room layout, and I asked Jonathan if he could rearrange everything. He did it without hesitation! I kept saying how sorry I was, and he kept saying that it was not a problem at all. I can't say enough about their customer service. From the initial phone call to the event setup, I appreciated their professionalism and courtesy. And of course the meeting went great, and they took care of everything when it ended. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a technology rental. I will most certainly be using them in the future.

The booking experience was pretty easy over email and AV NYC seemed responsive. Price was more affordable than a vendor I had used previously in the city so I thought I would give it a shot. However when I arrived to the venue I realized the AV never arrived even though they were supposed to be set up an hour prior. When I called the number to inquire where the equipment and labor we booked was, Dane from AV NYC said we hadn't paid. I knew this wasn't right so forwarded him on the paid statement we received. Somehow even with their own document he didn't know what we ordered. After multiple phone calls, he indicated they would 'try' to arrive in time for our event. That was a point of unnecessary stress for me for an important event. They did eventually arrive in time, set up only for me to tell them they had set up in the wrong room. Post-event it took three weeks and multiple follow up emails to finally get a response that they apologize for their own issues. I would not use them again. Coordinating events is hard enough but having this amount of confusion for something pretty simple was incredibly stressful and unnecessary.

It is huge and also has amazing red brick walls, some are colored yellow too. It was perfect location for a production that needs that rustic feeling, which was what I had been looking for. The staff were extremely accommodating and really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Whilst we were not able to fully close the doors at all times, this was explained prior to the production, so we were fully aware and compliant, since we noticed it has to do with fire security and building management policies. They provided 2 PAs at each of the entrances to make sure that no one outside of the production came into the room. The two boys proved to be extremely helpful with set up and tear down too! In the end we got the job done beautifully and the clients were very happy. Will definitely be coming back here to shoot.
