Be careful. Do not count on them as your only source for equipment. The verification process is…read moreconvoluted, and takes way longer than you'd think. (Why did I get a call from the UK at 4:10am to ask me my date of birth? And what did I say that made them cancel my account before 9am that morning? I still have not received an answer about what happened.) There may be ways in which this company is useful, but I repeat: DO NOT RELY ON THEM as your only source of equipment.

I usually don't write reviews, but these idiots at Fat Llama need to be called out for their shady…read morebusiness practices in the United States. First of all I have been contacted a dozen times through email and mobile under several different names. One instance on mobile they lied and said we have met up at an event where Fat Llama was. Little did they know I was in Miami on a job, no way we could have met. Theses clowns have repeatedly asked me to rent my Alexa Mini Package. They got this information through my Sharegrid, which has my website, which has my email. Little do these morons know is my camera package cost 75k and there measly 30k insurance will not cover it. With that said they have no idea what the F*** they are doing or what they are asking people to put on their Sharegrid clone. I would. I would not trust these people with my money or my gear. Please do not list your gear for this company. Go with Sharegrid it Kitsplit who actually know what they are doing.

First time renting from Adorama and the overall process wasn't terrible. You do have to have…read morereferences if you've never rented before which is a bit tedious but I get it. They do have very affordable production insurance (required when equipment is valued over $15,000) so that was a plus. The pick-up and drop off process was relatively easy Two issues I had: 1. If you make a reservation online and need to add something to it, not only does it not actually let you make the changes but it will basically erase your order and you will have to start over or call. Have NO idea why that is an error in the system they don't fix. So be careful because you may show up and they don't have a reservation for you. 2. Dropped off my equipment early on a Sunday went home and thought nothing about it. Then I get an invoice that they charged my card almost double what I was quoted (several hundred dollars). After a 40 minutes hold with the billing department, I found out whoever "checks in" the equipment didn't check it in until the following day so they wanted to charge me an extra day. So then they had to verify I did actually drop it off on time before refunding me the money. That seemed like a pretty massive oversight for expensive rentals Overall, would rent again in a pinch but I would be following up on EVERYTHING

They have completely lost their minds and have no idea what their doing in regards to onboarding…read morenew customers. They will say your paper work is good one minute and then turn around and deny you sent what they needed. It's harder to rent from ARC than it is to get board approval in a swanky Brooklyn coop! The whole process makes you feel icky. It's like they assume you're a criminal until you've hopped through every hoop. Poor communication between their departments only compounds the problem. It's seriously almost like they don't want any customers. Their new Brooklyn digs are pretty sweet though. I will give them that.
