I went up on my roof and into my attic and could see that there was an issue with flashing around a skylight and also saw what appeared to be leaking where the roof top HVAC unit was mounted. The roof was a little unsightly due to years of applying tar to stop leaks. I checked reviews and recommendations online and found Verde Roofing and Exterior. I got a hold of Manny and scheduled an appointment for a quote. Manny came out on the same day. He inspected the roof and gave me his recommendation for a repair and the quote. I liked Manny's plan of action and his price was fair. The plan was to re-shingle around the skylight and the HVAC unit. I received quotes from two other companies, but I decided on Verde Roofing and Exterior because of Manny's plan. I was a little concerned when suddenly there was a forecast of rain, but Manny and his crew were able to start the job the very next day after we signed the contract, a day before the rain. Manny's crew seemed very experienced and had the job completed in one day. The job turned out great and there is a very good color match between the new and old shingles. So much so that I took the time to drive to this residence in hopes of obtaining a business card. Once I finally met with Juan (owner) and talked to him about my plans and concerns with regards to the installation of a new roof, I knew that we had found the right company. Juan was friendly, articulate, professional, honest, knowledgeable and best of all - not a pushy salesman. Upon inspection of our roof, he took notes, photos and explained the entire re-roof process, as well as answered patiently every question that both me and my husband had. I loved that he worked with us on our schedule and was always easy to reach by phone. On the first day of install, his Supervisor Edgar and crew arrived well before start time and worked throughout the entire day not missing a beat. Best of all they cleaned up every bit of mess after each work day was complete. I was so impressed and relieved that these guys treated my property as their own. They came soon & began soon & explained everything & made me feel so comfortable to work with them - seemed like the integrity was through the roof , UNTIL , it wasn't - After months of texting and calling "jessica" with no response after they got paid , their "1 year warranty" turned out to be falsified. When the rain came back , we continued to have leaks in the areas they worked on - Went through HOOPS of calling every roofer they had sent out in desperation to get someone to come check the work , because we were still under our year of "warranty." Well, two guys came back and stayed they're not with the company anymore , but that they'd contact the owner . They did so , and they came and put black plastic over the problems areas & never returned to fix anything , claiming that its additional work - but it's the SAME area they worked on. We pretty much paid them for a quick fix & they haven't held up to their "warranty." During this entire process , ZERO returned calls from their office , and ZERO calls from their receptionist Jessica - The workers were the only ones who returned our calls & although they claimed they didn't work for the company anymore , they came and scoped things out. So grateful for THEM- but for the integrity of the company & them returning calls ? Hell no .
