I got multiple quotes, and chose to hire CopperWest Roofing. Here's why. First, CopperWest Roofing is not some big roofing company with lots of overhead, where you're just another job. They're a family-owned, local small business, and the owner, Jordon, is actually out there on the job, hustling every single day making sure everything is going smoothly. If you have a question, you just ask Jordon. He gives you his cell number and tells you to call or text him anytime if you have questions, comments, or concerns. Direct access to the owner, that kind of service is pretty rare these days. I also liked that they're not trying to impress people with a bunch of flashy trucks or a huge sales pitch that you end up paying extra money for. It's just an honest, hands-on, owner-run business that takes pride in doing quality work and treating people right. His business obviously runs on his reputation, and word of mouth recommendations, and I definitely recommend giving him a call, or send him a note through the website. The roof looks great, the crew cleaned up before they left every day, the communication was excellent, and the whole process was stress-free. I requested a change to the underlayment, which Jordon indicated was no problem and verbally let me know what the price difference would be but did take a little bit to get the official updated quote. Materials arrived on time and on schedule (tbh, I was worried that they weren't going to be). Work started promptly on time, and while the crew did work full days, they ran over by about a half day (luckily we weren't in any kind of rush). Workers cleaned up daily and pretty thoroughly at completion. While I do wish there was a little more communication regarding updates to the project, I would definitely use this company again.

I want to express my thanks to Danny Clark and the whole team at Arizona's Finest Roofing (AFR)…read more I had sought bids from 5 different local contractors. All of them presented as professional and courteous. But Danny from AFR was different. Each of the other 4 contractors provided me with an estimate to remove and replace our home's roof, but Danny offered a solution. He began by explaining different roofing techniques and showing me various materials. Then being a 3rd generation roofer he came up with a plan best suited for our application. The other roofers simply wanted to shingle over what was already in place. Danny opted to install a roof that had the potential to both insulate and reduce costs. He decided to place shingles on the pitched section of the roof and foam on the flat sections. To me that sounded like a unique way to beat the summer time heat here in Arizona. Now don't get me wrong, this option came at a premium but I am optimistic that once I have the opportunity to compare electrical usage data between this year and last, I am confident I am going to see a difference. And to anyone living through the Arizona summers, any cost savings in electricity is most welcome. I also want to take this opportunity to thank his office manager Tabytha, the site foreman Glen, and the two work crews that did the actual work. All of these folks working together helped the entire job go smoothly. I would also like to mention that once the work was complete, Danny came out to do a QC check to ensure that what was delivered was up to his standard. John arrived on time, covered patio furniture, did the job, cleaned up well after himself washing down outside sidewalks and patio area. John York showed me photos of the completed job. There were tidy edges all around without any drippings down the front edges like I've seen other roofers do. In the photo you can see the difference between my finished resealed roof and my neighbor's. I am well pleased with York Roofing's work. John said he would be happy to come out every couple of years to check that everything was okay. THAT is good service.

The second was a complete home re-roof project with asphalt shingles. The third was a re-roof project with new concrete tile. In each case, they performed the work quickly and professionally to my complete satisfaction. The most amazing one was the tile roof.
