Tragically, we weren't able to try any of the sweets since we were full by the end of it, but they looked good. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and from the moment we walked in, we felt like more than just another customer. We ordered the Bigfoot Burger, the salmon burger, fries, onion rings, and coffee. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot after a morning of hiking. The salmon burger was especially delicious, and the onion rings were perfectly crispy. The coffee was also a great pick-me-up before continuing our road trip. What really made this place stand out, though, was the outstanding customer service. The woman preparing our food took the time to chat with us, answer our questions, and even shared some excellent local tips--including a better route to see the famous Tree of Life. Those kinds of personal recommendations make traveling so much more enjoyable and are something you simply can't get from a navigation app. If you're heading to or from the Hoh Rain Forest, do yourself a favor and stop here. Great food, friendly people, and genuine Pacific Northwest hospitality made this one of our favorite stops on our Washington adventure. There were two groups in front of us but it took a very long time to get the food. We ended up taking our food to-go to stay on schedule. Fortunately, there is a small gift shop inside for something quick or a souvenir and there's some seating outside on the patio. Be advised, however, the line to purchase something from the gift shop is also the line to order food so the space inside gets quite cramped with that combination. My fiancée and I had our nearly 1 year old son with us and the lady at the register was kind enough to play the movie "FernGully" for him on the TV while we ate. She went above and beyond for us and we are thankful for her kindness and hospitality. Now to talk about the food. All four people in my group got something different, but whether it was the burger, the parmesan fries, quesadilla or the fry bread. It all tasted delicious. Even when we reheated the fry bread the next day it was still just as flavorful. I understand that a lot of people come to Forks because of the movie Twilight. But if you're like us and want some good eats then look no further than Forks Cafe Restaurant!

It does have a nice shed-like attachment with three picnic tables to stay out of the sun and wind. Staff were friendly. Food: I got the four meat combo and it's a hefty amount of food for just under $30. You honestly could split it with someone as it'll likely put you in a neat coma if you eat it all by yourself. Ribs: These are 3 huge St Louis cut and not your smaller baby back ribs. Lightly glazed and pull apart tender, these were definitely the best of the 4 meats. Chicken: Mine was dark meat with a drum and thigh, it was neither dry nor moist but somewhere in between. The neutral flavor of chicken lets the smoke flavor shine through really well and was a surprising hit. Sausage: A freshly-cut full link. Nice firm texture, medium smoke, and almost with a little snap to the casing which is enjoyable. Brisket: Of all the meats, this has the strongest smoke flavor with a nice charred bark on the outside and no fattiness at all in my cut. It easily pulls apart by hand. BBQ sauce: Texans are not known for their sauces and this is not exception. It texturally looks like a coarse pizza sauce and is sugary sweet. Personally not a fan. Potato salad: Not too much mayo, it basically tastes like a baked potato which helps clean your palate between meats. Beans: Very simple beans, not sweet at all and basically tastes like refried beans which I liked but some may find boring. Overall this place is solid, it's not the best BBQ I've had but it's a good option for being in a tiny rustic town. You get a large amount of food that justifies the price and the meats genuinely stand on their own without sauce. The seasonings are on the simpler side which is classic for Texas style BBQ. I think as long as you're not expecting KC style bbq with heavy rubs and tomato based sauces, you'll find someonething to like.
