Found a car online that looked great for my son. Sales person Kenny was super responsive and and straight forward. Every question asked via texted was answered quickly without and sales pitch. Straight forward is what made us drive almost 2 hours to see it. The car was exactly as discribed. Had a chance to meet the owner Scott as well. End of day, Ive never been to a car dealership where I walked away and felt that everyone there was honest and straight forward. After visiting 3 different dealerships and getting treated poorly or completely ignored, finally Ron's Automotive showed me what above and beyond customer service is all about. I was not only impressed with the customer service and professionalism, but the prices and inventory were the best (I spent many many hours checking). From my initial contact via email, to signing my paperwork before getting my car, this was my best car buying experience to date. Tony Roy was my sale assistant and I would highly recommend him if you are looking to buy a car from this dealer. Tony has a great personality and made my experience very enjoyable. I kept waiting for him to change things up, try to add in a bunch of bogus costs and fees, make excuses and try to bait and switch me on the car, etc. None of this ever happened. The 2005 Corvette was my dream car and although I didn't want him to know, I kept thinking that this was too good to be true! My next thought was that I would get the pressure from the finance department. After dealing with the finance manager, I couldn't have been more wrong. He was professional and has an awesome personality. After starting the car the TPM sensor was on, but shut off while we test drove. When I asked about it, Ron got the lead mechanic to talking to me who said, "the tire pressure is right at the level, but when the tires heat up the sensor goes off". He put a little air in the tire and it corrected the issue. My concern was what if it goes off later. Ron told me, "you have 30 day warranty, but to be honest, all we have is our word and Id pay for this out of my pocket to make it right". I trusted him and left with a handshake (yes, some men still believe in the power of a handshake). A week later I heard a chipping sound which I thought was a belt needed some dressing. I took the car to a certified Chevy mechanic who told me, "The harmonic balancer is bad and needs to be replaced". I had one conversating with Ron, who assured me he would do everything he could. A couple hour later Ron and Scott (sales manager) called me. After explaining everything, Scott assured me they were not aware of the issue and they were will to replace the harmonic balancer with a new under the warranty. Initially, I was a little nervous, but after than conversation I felt really good about purchasing my dream car from Ron's as they genuinely car about people. Rons' automotive was two hours from the previous dealership I had visited that day, but well worth the time spent. This was my 1st purchase with Ron's, but will not be my last. I am going to update my 5 star review to a 2 star. I bought my car in late August here and everything was fine. I checked the fluids about 4 days later just to get familiar with the car and the transmission fluid stick was completely dry, hot, and had black flecks on it. I called and they said they would take a look at it for free. They changed the fluid (not the filter) and kept my car for 4 weeks. When I FINALLY got it back, then about a month and a week or so later my check engine light came on, catalytic converter code. I called and they said my warranty is expired and it wouldn't cover it anyways. read more

I was in communication with one of the sales people for an entire day asking them to keep me posted on a trucks availability. I had to work that day and lived in hr and fifteen minutes away. The sales guy calls me telling me the truck is still available. I call him to make an appointment to test drive the truck and even gave him an ETA. I get to the dealership only for them to tell me they sold the truck. I DO NOT recommend this dealership and if you do make an appointment it's worthless. read more

Fantastic service and amazing vehicle. I was afraid of the purchase because I live 1.5 hours away. They made the process as painless as possible. Dave Warder was great and sent a driver to pick me up. After the purchase I noticed some things that needed fixing, I made sure I brought this to their attention and they provided a loaner until the SUV was ready. Within 2 days all issues were resolved. So i seen a price online that says 13500.00 ok cool i agreed then when it got to sign the papers the price is now 15500.00 and i was told oh thats just fees. sad part is i was stuck and needed a car and they took advantage of that. im gonna say i wont buy a vehicle there again. If you are looking to purchase a car, your biggest mistake would be to go to Ron's Automotive in Manchester MD. Any positive reviews you read about them are not from customers. Every aspect of this company is corrupt. The cars are not in good shape and I don't believe they use a reliable state inspection service as there were things wrong with every car that we looked at that should never have passed inspection. We did choose to purchase from them, hoping that the negative reviews were the exception. When we walked in, a woman looked at us and said "No! I want to eat lunch" and ducked into an office, so a salesman, Dave stepped up. Dave was nice, but only until papers were signed. Our other dealings with him were unpleasant and rude - we asked for clarification on papers from them and he acted like we were crazy. The hatch on the SUV we bought was broken and wouldn't open, so our purchase contract included a note that they would "fix hatch" signed by us and the owner, he later verified​ that he authorized that repair and didn't specify that he only meant the latch. We couldn't even test if the hatch opened properly with the motor because of this defect. It took us weeks to have them order the part and multiple phone calls and texts. We were told folks were on vacation, the wrong piece was ordered, people were fired over the mistake, the pieces were in bad shape that they ordered, etc. We finally took it in for repair and, when we picked up the car after many calls and texts again to find out if it was done, we could pop the hatch open (which was an improvement), but the hatch wouldn't lift. We were told it was a recall item and they would fix it as a courtesy only because "fix hatch" wasn't specific enough to get them off the hook. We can not open the hatch of our SUV without a great amount of force, more than I can push upwards, and, heaven forbid we needed to exit the vehicle that way in an emergency, my children would not be able to open it. This is not a fixed hatch. Not to mention that we bought an SUV because we could put things in the back and assumed that "fix hatch" meant that we could use it as intended. They said parts were ordered, leave the car with them and it would be fixed. We waited weeks again with no word. Each time we called, we got shuffled around with stories and were even hung up on by the owner, Scott, after he got nasty with my husband. We called and text and asked for updates. Eventually, after getting no response whatsoever from​ Scott despite promises of updates, we picked up our vehicle, not fixed, and got an attorney. Scott told my husband that he must leave the premises immediately because we said "the magic word" (attorney) and we could not check the vehicle before taking it. It was not fixed despite being there for weeks and it smelled to high heavens. They also gave us a second key that the buttons for automatic locks and hatch opening (if the motor and hydraulics worked) were completely smashed in and inoperable. And since it's the style of car that doesn't have a conventional key, it is basically useless. We'll have to pay to have another key made with the chip in it. I texted Scott after we got the car and this text he actually answered immediately letting me know that I may never contact him again and all other communication should come from my attorney - this is the ONLY call or text that anyone at the company answered without me attempting multiple times. I wish I could give negative stars to this company. The employees follow the owners lead of being manipulative, deceitful​, rude, and masters of putting off problems until they go away. We were even told that after 30 days of our contract, they wouldn't have to repair the problem, even though we were trying to get it fixed and they had our vehicle. Scott told me that I was lied to by his employees about parts ordered and I was given "wrong information" with all of the excuses I had been given. He said he had a hard time finding the part and I need to understand that, which I do and asked that he simply keep us updated. Scott also stated that the motor and hydraulics were shot so it was costing him money to repair this for us. He failed repeatedly to do this and ignored all of our calls and text messages. We gave every opportunity​ we could for them to make this right. We want to have the vehicle fixed in a garage of our choosing, repaired to operational order, at Ron Automotive's expense since they have failed to provide this service that was promised in our contract. We have a paper trail, a contract, photos of odometer before/after, and detailed notes on our calls with names of each person we spoke to and an awesome attorney. This is their MO, do not purchase from them. Unless you like rude people, wasting your time and money, and unkept promises. read more

This place is horrible. The sales manager Dave is very cocky and a real jerk. I was trying to talk to my salesman but Dave kept interrupting with rude comments. At one point he said, with your attitude no wonder you are in this situation. First off, I had no attitude. . I was trying to negotiate a large purchase. Second I had no situation. . I have good credit, a very new car that is just fine. I was just looking at some other options. But this Dave guy chased me off with his presence. Also they didn't include my deposit in numbers. my friends recently purchased a vehicle from ron's and were promised a second key but they had to come in on a tues when the key maker was in.Ron's said they would call. after a month and continued calls from my friends, they continue to run my friends around with all kinds of excuses why they haven't called about having them come in to get the promised extra key. " Beware of Repairs" in both Mechanical and Body Shop repairs at Ron's, they no longer are a Certified Mercedes Benz Collision Repair Facility. I managed the Body Shop in Reistertown on Rt 30 North, formerly Skips Collision and Towing. Ron's leases the Body Shop and is no longer Certified for Mercedes Benz repairs. And if your buying a used car from Ron's have a Certified Mechanic do a very thorough inspection on it before you buy! I had them inspect and diagnosis my car, was told it needed a radiator,replace my radiator because I over heated on my way to work, having Geico Roadside Assistance I did not have to pay for the tow, I was assured they would bill Geico and never did, and I was charged $190.00 for the tow, and for my radiator replacement, Todd Renfro Service Manager said he personal test drove it and my car was fine and ready to pick up,,, 20 minutes after I paid in full, the exact thing happened on my way home, over heated on 695 in 100% degree weather, it was never test drove after I was told it was, if it was it would never have over heated AGAIN...I was told they could come get me with thier Flatbed in 4 to 5 hrs, Owner Scott Richards never returned my calls or texts as Todd Renfro did not respond either. There Used Cars are fixed as cheap as possible with junk yard parts and I contacted The MD Attorney General, The Better Business Bureau and the Carroll County Small Claims Court regarding this repair witch has cost me over &1000.00 dollars plus $400.00 in Enterprise Rental Fees. The dealer sells cars that have issues shortly after purchase, they treat you as if your problem is not important after the purchased vehicle does have issues and then they string you along with completion dates or promises that they do not back up. My personal issue was buying a truck that had brake problems 2 days after purchase and transmission going out 8 days after purchase. Took them 37 days to get the vehicle back to me after I had it for only 8. During that time Dave Warder gave several completion dates that he never backed up and gave no communication when those dates came and went unless I reached out. This went on for several weeks until I reached out to a lawyer and I mentioned that word to the service center and my truck was somehow miraculously finished the next day. Stay away and go somewhere else to save yourself many headaches and multiple lies! ****Update-the brakes were not fixed as promised and I am now taking the vehicle to a different service center. To make a long review short; the place does have nice employees but to save you a world of frustration please avoid buying through Ron. Go to Dave! I purchased a car through Ron who during the sales process was helpful and seemed like a great guy to work with. Well, I was wrong. Before I start I will say however that the receptionist, sales guy Dave, and service guy Josh are the only reason I have good things to say about my experience with Rons automotive at all. They have done what they can to help resolve my issues. Sales guy Ron, has made this experience a nightmare, and just downright unpleasant which should not be the case when you have just purchased a new car. During the sales portion of things he was always available to contact, in fact he would call me frequently to check on things and see how he could be of assistance. Now that I'm having issues with my car, he's is impossible to reach. After two and half weeks of leaving messages with no response, I decided to surprise visit Ron. Who then lied to my face, and told me he hasn't received a single message to call me back (the receptionist assured me that she had been personally relaying my messages) upon buying my car the brakes sounded bad, and I requested that they be checked out/taken care of. Ron told me "everyone says the brakes sound bad, this is dust from the cars sitting" and told me if I had issues to come back and it wouldn't be a problem. My brakes are already screeching and when I went to talk to him about it was told I'm ridiculous and this isn't his problem. All of this, after I had to spend 400$ because other parts of the car literally fell apart at the touch. I told him when I got the new car (that I wasn't exactly in a position to buy) it was because my old car needed a lot of work and didn't have money or time for my car to be in the shop right now. Since getting this car, it has been in the shop far too much and I've had to spend far too much money to date, in fixing this car. And when I tried to reach out to my sales guy, Ron, he was next to impossible to reach (unless you just show up at his office) and then he did nothing at all to try and help me (that's where Dave comes in, he took over and is actually trying to be of assistance in the issue) and he just made an already frustrating situation so much worse with his unprofessional approach on things. Purchased a used car from this dealership in 8/25/2012. I put only 1000 miles on it, half of which is all the trips back to the dealership for repair. I have had nothing but problems. Gas tank leaked (they did fix it eventually), Needed catalytic converter, now the new front brake pads they put on are already worn on both side, I think the caliper pins are stuck, small oil leak in engine started to appear, image that . Slow leak in rear tires. I had this car for just over a month, wow! Stay away from this dealership. read more

I have placed numerous calls to the facility and left messages for the owner to return my call to address the service issues. The owner has not even provided me the courtesy of a return phone call. I wish I had read the reviews posted by previous customers as this would have same me the headache and heartburn of going through the same thing. On 12 Oct 2019, visited Ron's Automotive at which time a vehicle was purchased and a promissory was signed of identified repairs were to be completed. On 12 Oct 19 I purchased a 2011 Ford Fusion from Ron's Automotive at which time there were some concerned that were addressed i.e., the care was to be detailed, front end balance or alignment was needed, passenger seat, seat belt replaced or repaired and surface rust on the drivers side fender sanded and painted. In which, a promissory note was signed. I left the car there to have the repairs completed and would pick up the car the next weekend. On my return visit nothing was completed on the car and was told that they had they ordered the wrong part for the seat. We are now 3 weeks (almost 4 weeks 11 Nov 19) in and after repeated calls nothing has been done. I am still not in possession of the vehicle and repairs have not been completed. I have called, texted and spoke to managers and the sales person for the vehicle and still nothing. I have been hung up on and continuously lied too regarding this vehicle. After looking online for a specific car I eventually ran across their ad online and from the pictures I seen it looked pretty good. The price was decent as well. Well I drove over 3 hours to go pick up the car. I finally get their and the car is in no way accurate to the description online... ("This 2007 Lexus is in *GORGEOUS*!! *SMOOTH RUNNING V6 POWER*!! The *BLACK EXTERIOR* *PAINT* is *FLAWLESS*!! The tires are *BRAND NEW CONTINENTALS*!! The *BLACK LEATHER* *INTERIOR* is *LIKE NEW *and the *RED MAHOGANY WOOD *is *BEAUTIFUL*!! *PLENTY OF ROOM INSIDE*!! *NAVIGATION*, *SUNROOF*, *HEATED SEATS* and the *PREMIUM LEXUS AUDIO SYSTEM* *CRANKS* out *CLEAR MUSIC*!! This* STUNNING CAR *will not sit for long,* CALL NOW*!!") The first thing I notice when I see the car is the horrible curb rash on BOTH passenger side wheels, did not show this in the pictures. There were several scratches all over the car, the rear bumper would have needed to be painted immediately. And the ad said the exterior paint is "flawless". After looking at the car closely it looked as if it had slight hail damage, there were tiny dents on the roof, trunk, and hood, not showed in pictures. And as far as the interior looking new, this car didn't even have floor mats. And on top of all this the dealers had the nerve to get an attitude because I called this car junk. Dont buy a car from these flakes. Purchased a used car and within 3 weeks the check engine light came on with the infamous p0400 code EGR malfunction. Lo and behold its not coverd under warranty. Give me a break.... Lucky for me i know enough about cars to fix it without geting ripped off. I was pleased at first with my purchase i even told my mother in law to look into them. She was looking for a black liberty and and the salesman laughed and told her he could get some spray paint and paint one black. Well lucky for her she DID NOT buy from them but instead purchased from someone else. Their loss. Now when i was looking at the car it has a bubble in the front grill and i asked them to replace it for me. I got a no on that. The tires where not bad but not good either. I got a no on helping me out with that also. But the one thing that got me was the fact i asked them to fill the gas tank in it since it was almost empty lol he also said no. this place is a joke I had to take my car back 3 time's for the check engine light on finally after I told them I was going to contact a lawyer about this they check the car out and said it's a manufacturing warranty so we set a date for it to go date came drop the car on a Sunday night for a Monday appointment I get a car Monday afternoon asking me why is my car down on their lot so I told this **** Lady it has to go to Nissan to get fix then she said they don't have any paperwork on my car I said look lady I had this *** appointment for two week so now this **** has to check about my car and get back to me all day waiting around calling no one would answer me next day I talked to someone in service they are going to send it over to Nissan ok found out were so I call that Nissan yes they have it ok now next day I call to see if it's done no well when I can't tell you that wtf now it the 4th day I call both place's were is my car I what my car it does not take this long to fix a dam car so Ron's call me and said it's done and I will send a guy over to pick it up you can come a get it so when I get down their my f*** car is damage on the door and down by the wheel I ask how this happen and who did it every one said not me called Nissan they didn't so I said the dam boogie man F**** did it so if anyone can help get the ceo email so I can send picture and my lawyer get in touch with him I would appreciate it because we should not be treated like this we work hard for what we have read more

Purchased a car from the dealership. When I picked it up, the check engine light was on....The sale person took the vehicle to the service department and later told me the car is good, but if I have any problems please don't hesitate to let him know he would take care of any issues. I had the car for three days and the check engine light came on again. It took three weeks to get the car back to the dealership, they kept it for a week. I picked it up and here it is three days later and the check engine light is on again. I am being told that the problem is not covered. They are correct is saying they can get you approved, but for a lemon....I had no problems getting in touch with a salesmen while purchasing, but now since I have the car, it's a nightmare!!!! read more

They sold my girlfriend a lemon (that broke down less than 2 weeks after buying it) and then refused to stand behind the 30 day warranty where they claim to pay for half of any drive train repairs. My girlfriend called to talk to the person who sold her the car, Don, but he didn't want to offer any assistance, claiming he just sells the cars and "can't get involved" in service issues. Yeah, sure, Don. Instead, he referred her to the service department and they were very rude to her, but she managed to schedule a tow truck from their shop to come get the car, which was stuck in a parking lot. They were scheduled to come out on a Thursday to pick up the car to tow it back to their shop but they never showed up, so early Friday my girlfriend called and asked the service department what was going on. Again, they were very rude to her and told her that MAYBE they could come out later that day to get it, but they wouldn't guarantee it. They then wanted to have her make sure she knew that she would be paying for not only the tow, but for ALL repairs to the vehicle, even if they were supposedly covered under warranty. She was told that she had to pay in full before she could take the car away, so she better have the cash ready. She was then told she could then try to negotiate with the service manager on any sort of refund she feels she may be due related to the warranty. My girlfriend was like, WTF??!! What kind of crap is this?? She told me all about it and I said let's just get the car to my friend who owns a garage and he'll fix it for way less than those crooks will, so that's what we ended up doing. There's no doubt in my mind that Ron's Automotive were going to overcharge big time her for towing and for work that should've been covered under warranty, and then find an excuse for not honoring their warranty. Or by overcharging her so much, they'd end up making the same amount as a regular repair. Either way, Ron's Automotive is not to be trusted. Not only do they sell cars that they haven't thoroughly checked out for safety (my girlfriend nearly had an accident while driving because of the faulty drivetrain), but then when something does go wrong, they refuse to stand behind their warranty and they expect you to pay for all of the repairs up front. In every report of a company you will find good and bad reviews, however reading the bad reviews we could have saved ourselves issues if we listened. Do not buy a car from this dealership. The problems we have had with this dealer over the last few months have been unacceptable. We bought a 2012 Mini Countryman from Ron's in mid February. When we took the car for the inspection, three days later, we were told it had failed. The rear breaks did not meet state standards. Then the next day the coolant started to leaked. We called Ron's only to leave several messages. We were not called back, despite the repeated messages. We took the car in for repairs and found the rear breaks, roters, water pump, head light, and front wheels all needed to be fixed. The total $1800.00 repair was very frustrating to deal with. Through several emails to Scott, the owner, we were promised he would investigate the issue and call us back. He did not call us until several days after the promised phone call. He admitted they were taken advantage of when they bought this car. To know he sold us a car that he knowingly had issues with is unacceptable. He promised to send us a $350.00 visa gift card to cover the cost of the repairs. We do not understand how $350 compares to $1800, and still have yet to see this visa card. Back in February we also sent Ron's all the documentation they needed to get our tag and title. We just received a letter saying they cannot get us our title because "there is an issue with the title". It does not take six weeks to figure out issues there might be with a title. When we called they did not take responsibility for their failure to do their job. To be sold a car that did not meet state standards and still have issues with proper documentation is appalling. The number of bad reviews with other people having the same issues of lack of communication and faulty vehicles can confirm this is not just one person's experience.
