I've had this spot on my list for awhile, so when my husband wanted to do a coffee date, I thought…read moreit was the perfect time to try it! We have so many good coffee spots in the city and this one seemed so interesting to me! Parking was easy, we walked up and only had to wait a few minutes in line. The menu is awesome, and honestly, their food options are priced really fair. Coffee does seem on the expensive side (two lattes for ~$20) BUT it is speciality coffee afterall. You can also see where they're roasting it, so you know it's fresh. I got the s'mores latte and my husband got a dirty chai. They obsviously use super high quality ingredients AND make syrups in house. Very unique, fresh flavors in both mine and my husbands latte. And both were SO GOOD. Espresso was pulled perfect and had great taste. Their patio is awesome, they have a little indoor space in their greenhouse as well, but we opted for outside since it was a nice morning. It's a beautiful property, and if I ever need a place to sit and work, this would be it. If we lived walking distance, this spot would be dangerous. Definitely one of the more fresh, tastier coffee spots in the city!

I love when I can eat a breakfast sandwich without having to add jelly or jam to give it flavor. The egg portion is great, and the bacon tastes amazing. I wasn't greeted when I entered and I didn't see a food menu, so I chose from the baked items in cases on the counter. The drink menu included many temping items, and a list of tea varieties was on the counter. Later, I noticed an LED screen was changing displays and did include some breakfast sandwich items that I missed. Maybe next time! My latte was good. The bacon cheddar scone was served at room temp and did not seem fully cooked; it had sticky batter in the middle. Unless I missed an adjoining room, seating is limited to counter stools and tables for two-- both high top and low options. There's plenty of outdoor seating, though it wasn't shaded when I visited. Several people were working at computers in the morning I dropped by, and a few tables of two were talking. I think it would be a stretch to have a larger group in the space.

It has me interested in Hotel Indigo. (Bel Air Social is inside the hotel.) I first went on a whim when passing by earlier this week and now I'm a fan of the bar. The cocktail I'm liking is "I hope this email finds you well." It's the only of the drinks I've had and it's one of those rare menu items that you fall for on your first visit and probably will rarely, if ever, deviate from... unless the menu is seasonal. Oh, that would be a bummer. Let's hope this is an evergreen cocktail. It is so well-balanced, yummy, and prettily presented. I plan to return to this bar often. The pistachio gelato was good, but a little pricey. I may like the gelato better if I try a sorbetto flavor.

Super disappointed with the service. This place has the potential to be great, but unfortunately,…read moreour experience was not good. We arrived with a larger group and were told by the bartender to sit wherever we wanted and that a server would come to us. We all sat outside and saw the waitress walking around several times, but she never came to our table. What made it more frustrating was that the place was VERY empty--maybe 9-10 people total on the patio and only a handful of people sitting around the bar inside. Eventually, we had to go inside to place our drink orders ourselves. The drinks came out incredibly slowly and strangely staggered. One person received a seltzer first, then about five minutes later two Cokes came out. After sitting outside for about 20-25 minutes waiting for the rest, someone from our group finally went back inside and found our drinks just sitting on a serving tray, melting. We asked if we could just take them ourselves. We still had a couple of drinks coming and were told those would be brought outside, but once again, my friend eventually had to go back inside to get the final two drinks. Unfortunately, the overall consensus from our group was that the drinks weren't very good either--even something as simple as a vodka soda with lime juice. I'm really not sure what was going on with the bartending and serving staff that evening, but the entire experience was disappointing. Another friend and I actually suggested this place to the group because we had heard good things and seen the positive reviews, so it was especially disappointing that everyone left feeling let down. We ultimately left without finishing our drinks. There's definitely potential here, but the service needs significant improvement.

I decided to stop in and try a cupcake. They have lots of different flavors, including some seasonal and monthly. I tried their Valentine's Day flavor, called Ruby. The cake is a swirl of red velvet and strawberry sponge with raspberry cream cheese icing. Wow was this amazing! It was the perfect mix of chocolate and fruit and tart and sweet. I would totally get this again!! My only negative is that the cup they put single cupcakes in makes it hard to get out.
