I came in for what should have been a routine contact lens exam, and the entire experience left me…read morefrustrated and concerned about my insurance costs. During my visit, I was diagnosed with "dry eyes," which I understand can happen. What I don't understand is why that turned into being required to return to the office once a week for the next three weeks--each visit billed separately, of course. These extra appointments felt excessive and unnecessary, and they ultimately drove up my out-of-pocket expenses and insurance claims for something that should have been simple. On top of that, when I asked for a copy of my contact lens prescription, I was denied. I still haven't received it, which is unacceptable and directly impacts my ability to purchase lenses elsewhere. Overall, this practice feels more focused on generating charges than providing patient-centered care. I cannot recommend them and would urge others to proceed with caution.

After having contacted 4 different optometrists, I called Plaza Vision, who told me to come over with my prescription and they'd see what they could do. So, I handed over my prescription, and they took it back to the doc, Dr. Newman. GO FIGURE... he actually personally knew my optometrist from Denver. Within about 20 minutes, they'd called my doc, waited for the office to track him down, gotten agreement on a suitable substitute, and gotten me into some contacts for the next few days. After the first few phone calls to other places, I never thought that it would happen today. WHAT A RELIEF. So, if you want fantastic customer service, please try out Plaza Vision... they're a wonderful breath of friendly fresh air in an age of places that really don't care about you.
