Sometimes they're just aren't enough stars!…read more I don't write reviews very often, but Christine Holt absolutely earned this one. Our home has finally closed, and I can honestly say I don't think we would have made it to the finish line without her. This wasn't a simple transaction. Between unexpected challenges and everything else life threw at us, there were plenty of opportunities for things to fall apart. Christine never let that happen. She stayed on top of every detail, kept everyone accountable, communicated constantly, and always made sure we knew what was happening. When problems came up, she didn't make excuses--she found solutions. That's a rare quality. During one of the most difficult times my family has ever been through, Christine showed patience, compassion, and determination that went far beyond what I expected from a Realtor. She genuinely cared about getting us across the finish line, and it showed in everything she did. If you're looking for someone who will work hard, tell you the truth, fight for your best interests, and never quit when things get complicated, Christine Holt is the Realtor you want in your corner. Christine, thank you for everything you did for our family. We will never forget it, and I recommend you without hesitation

When my husband and his siblings needed to sell their parents' home after 58 years of family ownership, we knew we needed someone exceptional. Sarah Ridge exceeded every expectation. Not only is Sarah an expert in the Berkeley and El Cerrito market, but she also brought together an outstanding team that made the entire process seamless. From strategic pricing and marketing to thoughtful updates, staging, and preparation, every recommendation was spot-on and designed to maximize the home's appeal and value. What impressed me most was Sarah's ability to guide our family through what was an incredibly emotional transition. She was always available, communicated clearly, and patiently walked everyone through each step of the process. Her professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail gave us complete confidence from start to finish. Thanks to Sarah's market knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and excellent relationships with other agents, we received multiple offers and ultimately found the perfect buyer for this cherished family home. The entire experience could not have gone more smoothly. Sarah is constantly studying the market, touring new inventory, and maintaining strong relationships throughout the East Bay, giving her an unmatched pulse on the local real estate landscape. If you're buying or selling in Berkeley, El Cerrito, or the surrounding East Bay communities, I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough. You will be in exceptional hands. Simply put, I wouldn't choose anyone else for this area.

She has a lot of contacts, so she can address almost anything that can come up in the home buying process. She is very smart. Go to her website and watch her videos to see if you think she would be a good match for you. That's what we did. The best thing I can say about Sarah is that she was always looking out for our best interests. We went to some open houses on our own and were interested in making offers. Sarah pointed out to us some red flags that we had either missed or ignored. She said she would be willing to write up the offers if that's what we wanted, but she advised against it. She said this is the same advice she would have given to her daughter or a close friend if they were interested in these properties. Fortunately, we listened to her, passed on those properties, and ended up in a great house. Buying a home in the Berkeley market is always going to be stressful. My advice is to find someone like Sarah who will be reducing that stress, not adding to it.

My Husband and I were very new to the process and asked a million questions along the way. Before we made our decision to select Angelica, she booked a "get to know me" type of interview consultation. I really appreciated the initial appointment because it allowed us to converse freely and ask any preliminary questions. We opted to select our own lender instead of the recommendation from Angelica, and she did not try to pressure or persuade us to change our decision. Ultimately, we regretted that decision because our lender dropped the ball and caused us so much avoidable stress. There were multiple mistakes from our outside lender and Angelica was such an advocate for us. Not only did she act as our Realtor, but she continuously followed up to get answers/clarification. Angelica was very knowledgeable with VA loans, so we felt very confident with working with her to close a deal. What impressed me the most is her caring attitude! I felt her genuine passion for the work she does, and it was very evident that she wanted to make sure all of our wants/needs were met. We saw the home, made the offer shortly after the viewing, and the offer was accepted the next day! Once the offer was accepted, Angelica prepared a very thorough PowerPoint presentation on the next steps before closing. The PowerPoint was super helpful! We called/texted/emailed so much that it started to feel like Angelica was a part of our family. We are now living in our home and we have Angelica to thank for that! I would recommend her to anyone interested in purchasing!

Roughly 7 years ago, we linked up with Rosie to help us purchase our first home, and she was so helpful along the way. Throughout both times, she was always super responsive, made time to meet with us, and answered all of our questions throughout the home-buying process. We never felt any pressure from her to act on any of the houses we visited, and she always had a calm and relaxed demeanor that put us at ease. Rosie's recommendations & suggestions for insurance providers, lenders, or handy people were also great, and definitely helped us out in a pinch. Rosie made the homebuying process a relatively simple one, and we really couldn't have it without her help. She was really flexible with our schedule, super prompt when we had any last minute questions, and feels like a long-time friend at this point. Rosie provided us invaluable + realistic information around the comps for all the homes we visited, which ultimately helped us land an awesome new home. Before our most recent search, I felt disheartened--not just because of the challenging housing market, but because previous agents had been dismissive, condescending, or simply too busy to offer real support. Mariama was the complete opposite. From our first conversation, she took the time to really understand our needs, our budget, our preferences, and the neighborhoods we were considering. We never felt rushed. She made us feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. She was honest and transparent about what to expect, and she showed incredible patience when we hit moments of uncertainty. It also makes perfect sense that she surrounds herself with high-caliber vendors--inspectors, lenders, and escrow professionals--who reflect her same level of professionalism and care. Together, they made the process of buying a home feel almost easy. Angela, a member of Mariama's team and a skilled agent in her own right, was also incredibly helpful throughout our search. GWEN BROUSSARD IS OUR MIRACLE WORKER AND THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS!…read more This is an extremely long review, but please read it unto the end: We were currently living in a beautiful, convenient, brand new downtown Oakland apartment. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were given a 90 days' notice to vacate! A dear church member put us in touch with a mortgage lender who qualified us for enough to make a purchase and we were given one of their real estate agents to work with. Being new to the entire process and not knowing that we could use the lender for funding, but select our own agent was traumatic at best! The agent soon dropped us and we were left dead in the water, with now less than 60 days to vacate our unit! We came to Gwen under the direst of circumstances and implored her real-estate prowess for assistance. She gave us a timeline and said "Stick with me and WE WILL FIND YOU A HOME." She was thorough, efficient, patient and no-nonsense (in working w/the seller's agents). She held our hands and walked us through EVERY STEP OF THE PROCESS! From going out to look for homes daily, on down to explaining all the ins and outs of the contracts/agreements, to connecting us with the finest network of agencies, (i.e. home and pest inspectors, etc.) to assist us in the purchasing process. She is a down-right maven, an authority and expert in all things real estate! I can't imagine NOT having had her to be our agent for purchasing our first home! She encouraged us until the very end. There were MANY times we wanted to give up. We were facing this incredible deadline and didn't know if we should just throw in the towel and rent an apartment for $2200/month or to keep searching. She made the entire ordeal something we could totally conquer and wondered why we hadn't sought out her services sooner! We got an offer accepted on our new home about a month before we were mandated to be out of our apartment. She made it possible for the deal to be expedited and we were able to move out of our apartment and received the keys to our beautiful new home on the same day! Our mortgage is several hundred dollars below what we would have given away in rent. Our home is absolutely amazing and perfect for our little family; our neighborhood is cute and the neighbors are friendly. I recommend Gwen not only to YOU but to anyone! As a matter of fact, I recently did recommend someone to her. I had the opportunity to share with her how easy the entire process was with Gwen and how her knowledge and understanding of real estate is a must have and just how REALLY DOABLE the home buying process is with a fantastic agent. She not only took my suggestion and contacted Gwen, but do you know SHE TOO just received the keys to her new home and her deal was completed in even less time than ours! I myself was amazed at how quick the transaction happened from start to finish! I'm telling you from my own personal experience, IF YOU DON'T HAVE A REAL ESTATE AGENT - DO YOURSELF A FAVOR - GET GWEN!!!! You'll thank me that you did and soon be sending my invitation to the housewarming party for YOUR new home! Thanks Gwen Broussard for making a lifelong dream our present day reality for our family.
