I've been a patient at this office for several years, and while my dental health has always been…read morevery good, I've repeatedly felt pressured by the hygienists/doctors to purchase extra products or agree to additional procedures that didn't seem necessary. Last year I called to express my overall dissatisfaction as well as my desire to no longer move forward with the office as a patient, but the customer care agent convinced me to try a different hygienist (which I did, and that subsequent visit was fine). At my most recent routine cleaning visit, my cleaning was done by a visiting dentist who told me I had two cavities that would need to be drilled and filled. I then asked the regular dentist (Dr. Talwar) to confirm those findings, and while she did confirm the presence of the two alleged cavities, she also mentioned that they were "pretty small" and would be easy to repair. She even offered to do the procedure during that same visit since it wouldn't require anesthetic. The whole situation felt very misaligned from my actual oral health history, especially given that I have *never* had a cavity before, so I decided to get a second opinion before undergoing an irreversible treatment. A week later, I visited a different dental office with excellent referrals, and that dentist reviewed my X‑rays and examined my teeth. She quickly determined that there were zero cavities to be found in any of my teeth, and that I have a very healthy mouth overall. When I asked her to hone in on the two specific teeth that the Advanced Dental Care team had identified as having "cavities", the new doctor explained that those teeth have natural anatomical grooves which the other dentists may have interpreted as early-onset areas of decay...but she was very clear that there was no clinical basis for drilling into any of my teeth. I'm SO glad that I trusted my instincts in this situation, but it's unsettling to think I was advised to undergo unnecessary dental work (especially after their long pattern of upselling leading up to this point). I'm sharing this so that other patients know to advocate for themselves and seek second opinions if something doesn't feel right. I also hope that the Advanced Dental Care team reflects on this experience, because trust is a crucial foundation of any healthcare relationship. I do want to specifically thank the administrative team at this office for always being very courteous and customer-service focused...I've always greatly appreciated your helpful attention anytime I've needed help with scheduling or billing issues. Though I will no longer be a patient at this office, I wish this team all the best in the future.

It's never a good thing when I have to write a review for anything dental. BUT this place has been…read moreamazing so far! I'm old but my teeth are not falling out YET. I had an emergency issue when we were out of town last week. That dentist referred me to an oral surgeon. I opted to see a surgeon in my own home town of Leesburg. Based on family recommendations, I used this practice. The initial calls and checkin with staff was amazing. They are so professional and responsive and most importantly, so kind and understanding. My surgeon met with me first before the actual procedure since I was undergoing IV sedation. So many things to remember but the important part was the prescription for "Valium" that he agreed to give me. I hate anything dental and I go in kicking and screaming unless I am drugged. I'll come back once I've completed my procedure and healed enough to Followup on my review.

I found myself in a situation where I had no dentist, trusted no one, have so many very bad prior…read moredental experiences, and had an old cavity fall out taking it down to the nerve root. I needed immediate help before I ran into any real pain. I made my appointment with one of their other locations and on the way there I was contacted that another location, Stone Ridge & Dr. Itani, would be closer for me to go. Dr. Itani was extremely patient and kind. The staff was amazingly supportive, gentle, caring & kind. All of my dental anxiety vanished after Dr. Itani pulled that tooth as it could not be saved. Because of him and my success with finding him/this practice with YELP, I used YELP to also find my new dentist. Just shy of a year later I returned to have this area implanted. Such a great experience again that it is hard to put into words. If you have the worst fear or anxiety please do not hesitate to seek Dr. Itani or this practice out.

I almost never write reviews, no matter if it's exceptional or terrible. But I created an account…read moreon Yelp so that I can hopefully dissuade at least one person to NOT go to this place. DO NOT GET A PROCEDURE DONE BY DR. CHU (at the Falls Church location). I had my wisdom teeth taken out by him and I had to stay 2 nights in the ER because I got sepsis (along with a $4500+ medical debt). My mouth would not stop bleeding for 48hrs after surgery, I do not think they sewed up my wounds correctly. Both sides of my cheeks were bruised up for weeks and the IV that Dr.Chu/his assistant injected also left a nasty bruise for weeks (for comparison, the IV from the ER nurses left a barely noticeable dot on both my arms). The cherry on top is that Dr. Chu never bothered to followup with me after my hospital trip. I'm certain that Dr. Chu knew that I was in the hospital because the infectious disease specialist told me he would followup with Dr. Chu. The front desk ladies were more thorough with their follow up for my pending balance than Dr. Chu ever was for MY LIFE. On Google review, someone else shared a similar experience in that they also almost had to go to the ER and that Dr. Chu was dismissive. So my experience was not an outlier. I do not think I would be here today to write this review if my girlfriend didn't take me to the hospital after she found me trembling in my sleep as my body was fighting off the infection from sepsis at 2AM. If you value your life, I highly recommend you get your oral surgeries at another location.

I came to Dr. Patel for my upper wisdom tooth removal and am extremely happy with the surgery…read moreoutcome and his professionalism! I've had a bad lower wisdom tooth removal experience with a DIFFERENT doctor and DIFFERENT practice, so I was extremely anxious going into surgery with Dr. Patel. I called him the day before, and he assured me that he was confident my surgery would go well. Based on my experience post-surgery, Dr. Patel was a pro during surgery. I used gauze for the first few hours post surgery and then the bleeding stopped. I was thrilled that I didn't throw up from the anesthesia and I experienced very little pain. In fact, I didn't need any pain medicine and only took the ibuprofen at night as a preemptive measure, to ensure I would sleep comfortably. Since my past experience made me paranoid about wisdom tooth surgery infection, I called Dr. Patel's office to see whether my post-surgery experiences were normal. They were very responsive and helped calm my nerves. I was also able to come into the office, so Dr. Patel could confirm that everything was healing well. Dental work is never fun, but if you ever need oral surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Patel! He's truly the best!

This is my honest, heartfelt review of this practice. As a medical professional myself, I know…read morefirsthand that those who work in medicine are often the worst patients. From the moment I met Dr. Maharaj, I felt I was in safe, confident, and competent hands. Knowing how terrified I was of surgery, Dr. Maharaj took the time to go over absolutely everything with me. I even returned for a second consultation because I had more questions, and he was just as patient and thorough. The entire staff is top-notch from the warm welcome at the front desk to the calm and knowledgeable team in the back office. I'm now a few days post-surgery, and I feel great! They explained everything in detail, and even when I called with post-op questions, they were quick to respond. I wholeheartedly recommend Lansdowne Oral Surgery and Implant Centers to anyone and everyone.

I had been a patient of this office for about a year. I feel Dr. Pham is good surgeon. However, my…read morereview is based mostly on the front desk staff. I had surgery planned with this office that included extractions and implants that were over $11,000 with my insurance. I went to get a 2nd opinion and found a better option that worked better for me at less money. When I told the office that I was going a different route, the office told me that Dr. Pham would no longer see me as a patient due to going to another practice. I was told that Dr. Pham does not work on patients that have gone to other oral surgeons. Interesting... That is fine. I won't ever have to deal with the horribly obnoxious and condescending woman at the front desk. She was the main reason why my wife and I looked into surgeon. She spoke to me like a 4-year-old telling me to "get your temporary denture in your little hands before you call me and waste our time". I had a large infection in these teeth, and she told me that Dr. Pham "won't be prescribing me anymore antibiotics until I got those temp teeth in your little hands". She's horrible! She also did some questionable things regarding my dental insurance that could have resulted in insurance fraud. I cannot recommend this practice. Aside from Dr. Pham throwing a childish fit over me going to another surgeon, the front office is the main reason I went looking for another surgeon. Thanks for unprofessional and inappropriate towards me. My money went to a very good practice that doesn't treat their patients like children.
