Great dentist. A long time that I went to a dentist. Was my first cleaning after 5 years. They did a pretty good job. I felt comfortable.

Take great care of other patients as officially as they could have them with Insurance gave them…read morethe best treatment plans. I would recommend this to everyone.

Stay away from these people they are trouble. I went to them to have some wisdom teeth pulled and…read moresome filling work. The oral surgeon at the royal oak office wanted to pull teeth I was not scheduled for, because she clearly did not feel like doing an impacted wisdom tooth. After insisting she do the job I set up for and not what she felt like, she cut me open and yanked it out so hard it left me with what seems to be permanent damage to my jaw. Sadly she did not section the tooth and take it out gently like the last dentist due to it being less impacted and this was bad news for me. While going to the oak park location I have been seen by about 4 different doctors in a years time. They seem to replace employees so often even the front desk is new faces every few months. Now on to the hack filling jobs by these clowns. They did one filling the same time i got the teeth pulled a year ago and it has hurt ever since they did it. They filed it down around 5 times or so on multiple visits when I complained the tooth hurts when my tongue rubs it or pressure is applied. Eventually one of the new docs said she would redo it if I wanted, after trying to send me to a root canal specialist a ridiculous amount of miles away. She changed her tune on the 3rd talk about it saying it might end up hurting more if she redid it. That was while she was doing 2 more of 4 fillings she did. The filling work was so bad I came in the next day to have it cleaned up. She still did such a bad job cleaning it up that I was starting to get frustrated and said enough is enough. She messed up and told me she would redo this filling she was cleaning up if I wanted. I ask why does it not look ok? I got no answer. My teeth hurt real bad and all the fillings seemed to be bad. The lady on the phone at deluxe dental said all the doctors are of the same quality when I said I wanted a new doctor at another location who might be better skilled at their job. Needless to say I found a new dental office altogether. Turns out after seeing my new dentist that I must say can actually perform the job of dentistry instead of butchery of someones mouth, that she botched my filling work and a tooth was not sealed and bad enough to see with the naked eye. This caused extra pain and required a new filling be done, not even a week later. The tooth that hurt me for a year I just had redone, and of course its perfect with 0 pain suddenly. I could not even floss anymore after the filling work because it would hook into my teeth, that's how bad she did. If you can imagine I now question the rest of the fillings, because they hurt too, and wounder if I need every filling job you guys did redone. You left me in way more pain than I was before ever coming to you guys. They never bothered to even set up a care plan of any sort, and winged it the entire time. I had cavities in my mouth they did not tell me about and surprise me with later even though they never took new x-rays. Why you guys are incapable doing the job you are paid for is beyond me. I was told I have a clean slate on my last day there, and I had no more cavities. That was lie that could have cost me a tooth. Thankfully my new dentist caught the real big seen by eye cavity that was decently deep. I feel like I was being set up for failure by coming to deluxe dental. The doctors and dental assistants will not listen or communicate properly or at all at times. They ignore questions all the time and I almost never got the same answer twice. They are highly disorganized and do not communicate with insurance properly either. I kept getting denial letters in the mail saying I had to inform the dentist because they could not get in contact with them, about 10 times before I just ignored them. They over book so they rush every appointment. The day I got the botched cracked filling she was an hour late to work, while I was there 5 mins before opening. I cannot believe I had get my new dentist to clean up 3 of her fillings because they were so sloppily done even after she tried cleaning them up, aside from the cracked redone one. I Regret coming here, I hope the people who worked on me get fired, and I hope you loose business if someone reads this and looks for a competent dentist instead.

In February 2019, I was dealing with excruciating pain in my top left wisdom tooth. Because Royal…read moreOak Family Dentistry (ROFD) was closed, I went to another dentist who told me the tooth was cracked and infected, and I should see my regular dentist to have it repaired. I made an appointment with ROFD, explained the situation, and was told the tooth wasn't cracked, but I needed other treatment that would cost well over $1,000. I was given nothing to treat the infection and nothing for the pain. Luckily, my family doctor prescribed a Z-pack that took care of the infection. ROFD told me my insurance would cover most of the cost, so I had the treatment done. At the end of the treatment, the dentist told the hygienist that my top left wisdom tooth was cracked and should be removed. I pointed out that I had told her that at the beginning of the process and she had told me I was incorrect. Her extremely rude response was that she couldn't have seen the crack because of the plaque on my teeth, even though a dentist who had never seen me before had found it with a simple set of x-rays. So I went in with a minor problem and was told I needed expensive treatment. I was also told my insurance would cover it. After undergoing the treatment - which did nothing about my cracked tooth - I was told they had been mistaken about the insurance and I owed more than $1,200. They refused to make any adjustments to the bill, demanding payment in full, and have since sent the matter to a debt collector. In the meantime, I had to go undergo oral surgery when the cracked tooth split in half. tl;dr: I went into ROFD with a problem that had already been correctly diagnosed, and instead of treating it, the dentist ignored it and told me I needed an expensive treatment that did nothing to fix my problem. In the end, the dentist acknowledged the original diagnosis had been correct but did not offer an apology or adjust the cost. They also told me my insurance would cover a procedure I couldn't afford, which turned out to be incorrect.
