My review is for the service department. I've been here 3 times I believe in the last two years for oil changes. Most recently, I needed to have a shock replaced and and oil change. We called in to see if they took appointments and were told it was "first come first served". We dropped my vehicle off on a Friday evening around 430 for hopeful service on Saturday morning, advisor took all info, and we were made no promises, but told hopefully they could get to it the next day. (We realized we were pushing it given hours are only half day Saturday and closed Sunday). I got the call my car was ready when they opened first thing Monday morning at 730 am. While my advisor informed me that they wouldn't be working that weekend, and realize there is no fault by them, I was pretty bummed that it was ready to be picked up on Saturday and another advisor on duty that day didn't call and let me know. Fortunately, I wasn't inconvenienced by this, but hopefully moving forward, that can be addressed. Aside from that, service and staff are always friendly and professional. They take good care of my vehicle. read more

On Sunday November 26th, 2023, my check engine light came on. I took it to Auto Zone and it read an ABS Stabilitrak and Traction control issue. On Monday morning, November 27th, I took my vehicle to Ron Craft Cadillac in Baytown, TX and was told the code was reflecting that my fuel pump is not communicating to my engine. I also requested to have my froze Cue Radio screen fixed. Later that day, I received a call from the Rep at the dealership advising that it was battery causing the check engine light to be on and the radio would need to be replaced. Based on the extremely light quote of $521.00 for parts and labor to replace the battery, I declined and approved the replacement of the radio. I was completely baffled about my battery because my battery light did not come on. The radio I was told needed to be replaced completely because it could not be fixed. I contacted the parts department to the dealership to check on the price of the battery because the cost was really bothering me. I spoke to Patrick in parts, and he not only provided the battery cost of 233.66, but he furnished the part#. Considering the cost difference, I felt that the labor was way to high to switch out a battery. I contacted the service department to discuss the cost differential at which time, I was told I would not be only 419.00. This was still too high, so I maintain my position of declining the battery replacement. November 28th, the next afternoon, I arrived to pick up my car and decided not to let it go and spoke to the parts manager about my concerns. At which time, I found out the battery cost they were billing me for was 394.00, plus labor. I made the manager aware of the discrepancy and he approved for the cost adjustment to the battery I was quoted, plus the 65.00 in labor, so I accepted. Patrick in parts became aware of the situation and confronted me about the price and part number I discussed with him earlier that day. In that moment when he realized he made a mistake I was advised in a very abrupt and rude manner that I can take the battery for the 394.00 or leave it because he is not price matching. Then he proceeded to walk off. Needless to say, the service manager overrides him. This form of customer services not only shocked me but is unacceptable. Not only was he rude and dismissive, but this was done in the presents of other customers awaiting parts pricing. I walked out 519.00 dollars later for my new radio replacement deductible of 100.00 of the $1025.00 initial costs, taxes, the battery replacement and labor cost. On my way home, I realize not only was my radio still programed with all the old cell phones that were programed and all my stored radio stations. This made me realize that I was charged for a new radio when in fact, my radio was really fixed. Fast forward to November 29th, I drove my car to work. On my way home, I turned off my car when I stopped for gas. I turned my car on to leave and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas Tree. The T/C ABS, Stabilitrak and check engine light was on. Even the lights highlighting the gear the car was in blinked uncontrollably and my car jerked. I turned my car off and on and only the "Check Engine" light stayed on this time. Needless to the say, my car was not performing normally as I drove less than half a mile to my home. I contacted Ron Craft immediately, but their parts department was closed. I am beyond annoyed and disappointed in the fact that not only is my car not working, but I was robbed for a new radio cost when in fact, my existing radio was fixed. I am seeking some form of a partial refund and will be taking my car elsewhere to be fixed. Consumers, please be aware of the dishonesty that exist with some of the dealerships. Times have changed and a wrench and screwdriver can't repair your car as easily as before. Today is 12/4/23, my car has been returned to the dealership twice since it was initially fixed. My Check Engine light came on and my dashboard lights up. They are exuding no form of urgency nor are they providing me with any form of transportation. As a consumer, we are forced to trust in these repair centers since all up-to-date model vehicles operate on sensors and computers. I am disappointed to say the least. I bought a use Cadillac SRX in Dec 2020. Since I've had numerous things go wrong with the vehicle, which is understandable because it's used HOWEVER, the Sales Mgr is an absolute, unprofessional, smug, arrogant, ass. In addition, my sunroof drains were plugged and they said my extended warranty wouldn't cover the broken hatch and screen because it was "probably" caused by the plugged drains. How do they KNOW that's what the problem was? The hatch was broken 2 months before the sunroof was leaking. All totaling around 10k for a 14k vehicle!! I will start by saying, I recently bought a new Tahoe and traded my BMW for it. Prior to the Tahoe I always took my BMW to Advantage BMW Midtown which is also a Sonic Dealership. I never had a complaint about how I was treated or the services I had received. So I thought another Sonic Dealership would carry that same company values. I was wrong, very wrong. I pulled and was greeted, and I let the man know who I was there to see, and he directed me to her. I walked into the building and was rudely asked, yes can I help you. I let her know I had an appointment with her. She asked for my name and info, and we went through the process and she let me know it would be a few hours before it was done. I told her that's fine, but I was told y'all had a shuttle service that would take me back home as I had a meeting within the hour. She YELLED, asking if the shuttle driver was in today like he was some servant. I was honestly shocked about the lack of professionalism. I was taken back to my house by a young man, and I just want to say, he made the experience not be a complete failure. He was kind, polite, and held a conversation. So good job there Ron Craft, maybe he should be a service advisor. Fast forward, she called me in about three hours, said hey your suv is done, it'll be here when you get here. I let her know again I would need the shuttle to come get me, which is promptly did. Once I got back, she walked me over to the cashier and was all of a sudden smiling and somewhat kind. I paid and then came the kicker. The cashier let me know I would be receiving a survey asking how my experience was with my service advisor and let me know to make sure I gave her all the stars because anything else, is a failure in GM's eyes and they wanted to make sure she stayed around because they liked her. Again, I was baffled. Myself, a director for a big company, liking someone doesn't justify you keeping them, If they can't preform. It is, what it is. So as I got back into my suv and drove off, I noticed there was still issues with the alignment. So I immediately called and the service advisor asked me to bring it back to the dealership. When I returned to the dealership my "service advisor" brought the tech out and had me explain what was wrong. He said it might be because I have oversized tires on it. That's BS... The tech drove it and confirmed I was right. The alignment wasn't corrected. I couldn't believe I paid for a service that wasn't even complete. How do I know if the tires were rotated, If the oil was properly changed. He took my vehicle back to the shop and fixed it. While I was waiting for it to be corrected, she went on to tell me she couldn't imagine driving my suv with those big tires because they're so loud and continued to judge my vehicle. As I'm driving home I noticed there was a rattling noise. When I got home and got under my vehicle, I noticed when the technicians went to tighten the skid plate bolts, they failed to do so. I'm happy I caught that, because what if that would have fallen off on the highway and hit someone. That's my fault at that point and not the dealerships... All in all, I won't be returning to Ron Craft for my services needs in the future, which is a shame because it's less than ten minutes from my house. read more

This is the worst place to bring your vehicle for repair. I was in less than November for a service stability notification that was popping up on the display. As I was driving out after they charged me $1,600 it popped up again. They said for me to go drive it and it would probably stop. Well it never did and now yes 4months later it's is still popping up as well as other things like need gas, securit, battery etc and they want to charge for each item a diagnostic fee. Brought my vehicle here because my check engine light came on. When the service advisor hooked up their tool to scan the vehicles computer for codes, it found a P219B code stored. After leaving my vehicle with them for 4 days they were unable to fully diagnose my vehicle and returned with issue unsolved. I then took my vehicle to another dealership off of HWY 225 in Pasadena, they were able to diagnose my vehicle within 3 hours and explain to me what needs to be fixed. They also advised me that my ECM needed an update in which Ron Craft failed to inform me. The service advisor (Wendy) for Ron Craft always seem bothered and annoyed when a customer asks questions of them. We purchased a used vehicle from this dealership last March 2022, we paid in cash paid for a total of $36,999.65. Then just after 21 days, the vehicle just shut off completely dead. We tried contacting our agent but he's immediate response was, did you purchase a warranty?" What a customer service right? Instead of addressing the problem, he asked for a warranty right away as if that's expected to happen when in fact they guaranteed that the vehicle is fully serviced before going out to the market and is reliable. I believe that even if we didn't purchase a warranty, it doesn't mean they can sell us a faulty vehicle. He told us service department said we might need a new battery or starter. We then changed the battery. Since then, I didn't let my family use it, I just used the vehicle myself going to work and to the grocery store and no where else fearing that the vehicle will abruptly shut off in the middle of the road. Then few days ago, me and my wife along with our two babies went to Houston using the vehicle, after about an hour of driving, warning sign of "SERVICE TRAILER BRAKE SYSTEM" started showing on and off, we weren't even carrying a trailer. We deemed it not safe so we decided to park. As we were pulling up to the parking area, dashboard was blinking and beeping then engine died in the middle of the parking lot entrance blocking the way. Then I started the engine again and finally parked when another warning showed, "SERVICE REAR VISION SYSTEM." Then the engine shut off again, completely dead no power. I contacted my agent and see if we can have the vehicle checked in the dealership but he said they only do oil changes and tire rotation on Saturday. So we didn't have a choice but to go home even without reaching our destination. We were really praying and thank God we came back home safe. Imagine driving a vehicle that you know can shut off in the middle of the road with your entire family in. It was a nightmare for all of us. We only put 500+ miles since we bought it and it's already giving us so much hassles and headaches and even trauma for my wife. Yes, we didn't purchase a warranty but that doesn't mean you can sell a faulty vehicle without disclosing the problem. I believe that if there was a known problem with the vehicle, we must have been informed about it beforehand. We purchased the car because we trusted my agent, as what he exactly told me, "WE MAKE SURE THE CAR IS RELIABLE OR DO NOT SELL IT AT THIS LOCATION". The vehicle is not safe. I had an appointment for 7am, arrived a little before 7, spoke with an advisor who took down all of my details and car information, then offered me the 3 tiers of oil changes, I selected the lowest of the packages, $59.99 and went off to the waiting room. While in the waiting room I opened the MyChevrolet app on my iPhone and since location services saw I was at Ron Craft I was presented with the service offerings and deals for this dealer. The first item on the list was Dexos Oil Change, tire rotation and wash for $49.99. When the advisor came to let me know my car was done, I pointed this out and she immediately changed the price for me, which is great but in the MyChevrolet app, $49.99 was listed as the every day price for this service. My review is for a lady named Wendy, I only went for an oil change and when i got to the bank afterwards i realize that my 4 tire pressure sensors were messed up . I called and a man named kevin said to bring it in that they were gonna get it checked in , when i went wendy was very offensive and demanding that they were all messed up when i gave them my car when i KNOW how my car is and i KNEW that only the back left one was messed up. This Ron Craft dealership steals money from customers. I took my truck last year for a new transmission and it broke down in January. Took it back because we had warranty and now they are saying that it can not be covered because they wrote the wrong miles on the paperwork, and they are accusing us of changing the odometer on the truck. I recommend all customers to check receipts and make sure the miles are correct so this will not happen to any one else. I would never go back to Ron Craft and I do not recommend it. read more

Unprofessional or sleazy you pick. It seems that these days car dealerships use every tactic to hustle a sale, there is rarely a fine line between one star or five stars. Ron Craft Chevrolet and Cadillac is one of those unorganized and unprofessional dealerships. Read some of the reviews on this page. Some of them are left by people openly admitting to be employees and/or 5 star reviews with new accounts created with only reviews for this page. This review pertains to sales only. I called in about a vehicle last week the day it was listed. I was told the vehicle was not available yet and explained to the sales representative over the phone I lived in California and would complete the deal remotely. I explained I was more than willing to leave a deposit or the full amount to secure the vehicle pertaining the car was in the shape they described. I was advised it was their policy that they cannot take a deposit or payment on a vehicle until it finishes recon/safety. Understandingly I told the representative to pass my information along to a manager and let him/her know I would like to purchase the vehicle as I am out of state and do not have the luxury of coming in. He advised me that I was the first to call and will be the first to be notified when the car is completely and/or complete the transaction. Never got a call from a manager. I did not hear back the following day, I did call in and spoke with someone at the dealership who informed me that someone would be giving me a call back. Two days later nothing. I decided to shoot over another inquiry via email the next day, I was emailed back with an automated email saying the vehicle was available. I called the lady and she told me the vehicle was pending sale (what?!). Another gentleman from the dealership I've never spoke with called me around the same time, told me it was available (good news), took down a bunch of my information only to call back and tell me it's pending as well... At this time he tried to sell me into a completely different make and model. This morning the same lady that I talked to that said it was sold on Saturday decided to call me again. I'm pretty sure she forgot she talked to me on Saturday and she told me once again that the car is available. Once again, more information was requested. Don't make your customers play your sales tactics games. Left a message with them to have management call me back about this situation. Until this day I still have not heard back from management regarding this issue. Upon pulling in, I had to talk to three different people because none of them communicated with each other. One guy even told me to go inside myself and tell the lady because she wasn't listening to him. Then I saw the lady come outside and chew out the fellow staff members. As far as GM dealerships go, this one is pretty good. There are some others I've been in where you really get the dirty used car salesman feeling. This one feels better. Some of the salespeople I question, but others I've done business with and seem to be ok. I bought my Avalanche here even though it had the reputation of being "Ron Shaft." I have to say, I don't think it has that reputation any longer. The service department is great. The folks there have come a long way over the years and are really willing to help. I like that they are proactive also. Some places wait until you have a problem, here they will let you know the status of something (i.e., green, yellow, or red) and what it will take to fix it, the time, and the money. I also like that they go through the recall notices and make sure you are caught up every time. If I get another Avalanche, which I probably will after I drive the wheels off mine (it's only at 120K), I'll come back here. read more

I brought a 2009 Cadillac to get it checked. It was overheating. The service department calls to tell me the heater core was leaking. After I authorize them to fix it, They crack the dash putting it together. Now they are telling me they cant find the parts to fix it. They want me to take it like it is and they will "call me when they can find the parts". I told them they could fix it or buy it. They offered me 2500 for it. I can't sell it like it is and I'm not sure they can return it in the same condition I brought it to them. The service manager told me he couldn't shit the parts to fix it. What did I expect for a car that was 10 years old. Second time they couldn't find the parts to fix my car. Never do business with these guys. read more

Well we will never use them again after the treatment she received. They didn't care to work with her or me and the attitude of the Manager was - "OK whatever". Howard Williams and Amarr Clark both assisted my daughter and not only beat Ron Craft's discounts on the car but also her final payment amount. I cannot thank them enough for the assistance they gave my daughter as she was in dire need for a new car. As a single mom this was critical not only for transportation but for her and our grandson's safety. I was notified by a factory recall on a defective door switch. So I called and asked four questions. 1. Do you have the part in stock? Yes. 2. When can I get an appointment? 15 minutes. (11:15) 3. Will it be done today? Yes. (It is a door switch.) 4. Do you have a shuttle so I can go to work? Yes. So I called in at 5:30, to find out that they won't have the door switch fixed today. WTF. Everyone was so busy nd just kept pushing me to the next tech! Finally I got to the end which was Wendy Morrison. She was just answering phone calls nd kept telling me to hold on! I guess phone calls are more important than the people who go up there. (Mind you this is the 3rd time I go up there to get my 2015 Chevy checked out for THE SAME ISSUE!) 9/5/2020 - Second complaint on this place. Dropped truck off at 7 am Friday for 15k mile servicing, issues with brake monitor, park assist not working and wiper blade replacement. These High Country's are not cheap. Specifically told attendant that I needed my truck back before Tuesday to go to work knowing they would be closed Monday because of the holiday. No calls so I call and of course had to leave a message with the Service Advisor at noon Saturday. Nothing....called again and went to voice mail so I called the Dealership and was told they closed at 2. Now I am without my truck until who knows when. Last vehicle I ever buy at this place. This place is a total scam! Never take your car here to get service work done at all if you are trying to save money and not get taken advantage of! In late November I had an "ignition coil" replaced on my 2012 Chevy Cruze and 2 months later my car is in the shop again having a wire repaired to the ignition coil that should've been detected in the first place... my car died on the side of the rode and I had to get it towed to the nearest Chevy dealership to spend MORE money for a wire to the ignition coil to be repaired... sounds like to me that the $175 for the diagnostic test that I paid for and for the labor of the technician to check the entire ignition coil and the wires that attatch was not done properly. And warranty's don't work at this dealership either since I had to pay MORE money to get the wire repaired to the ignition coil that was replaced in November! Funny how a wire went out on the same thing they fixed 2 months ago... I was told that since I drove it for 2 months that there might not be a relation, but very well could be a relation... seriously?? If they checked the wires well enough like they "say" they did then I don't understand why this would even happen just 2 months later... I understand that wires go out but I don't believe that they can deteriorate that quickly for them to have not seen it then. There must have been some wearing on it... I firmly believe that they did not check the wires properly. They should have seen some wearing on the wires back in November since it went out only 2 months later. I have spent over $975 for my car to be repaired in the last 2 months over the same issues... I will NEVER get another Chevrolet car or ever go to Ron Craft again. The store was great and we love our vehicle, however our sales person Shane Williams was less than ideal. We were promised a fully detailed like new vehicle and that was not the case. We found garbage, old food, and toys vacuuming it out ourselves. We were also promised the updated maps for our vehicle which we never received. We also had to get the vehicle inspected ourselves to get the plates because they forgot to do it before we left. Shortly after getting our vehicle we had to take it in for warranty work because there was quarters shoved in one of the DVD players from the previous owners. It seems more services than needed are always suggested to a point it is dangerous to drive. The cost of service seems much more than other places. I drove down from Austin the weekend of the Jan 30th with the intent to purchase a 2016 Chevy Sonic LT, LS or a 2015 Ford Focus SE. I was pending final pre-approval from my bank and wanted to get the final test drives out of the way before I started talking numbers with the sales team. I went to Baytown Ford and drove the Focus first. I was able to speak to an associate who was very knowledgeable, could answer all my questions with in-depth feedback (I did my research beforehand so my questions were more for reinforcement than actual information). He was pleasant, conversational, and seemed like he truly wanted to assist. I thanked him and let him know I'd be back in the morning. I then proceeded to go to Ron Craft so I could test drive the Sonics I was interested in. My stepdad had previously done some research with Richard so upon entering the dealership I asked for him. The operator called Richard and he had unfortunately already left for the day. There was a sales person "hovering" by the front desk and he had been waiting to see if anyone else was assisting me. I don't particularly like people who hover, but no one else seemed available. I told Johnny what I was interested in and he first showed me the 2015 Sonics. I politely told him I was interested in the 2016 models. We then walked to the back lot where they were parked and I tried to ask him questions relating to the vehicle to make sure what I'd found in my research was correct. He. Knew. Nothing. In fact, when my dad asked questions I had to answer them because Johnny knew absolutely nothing about the vehicle. I was annoyed at this point but still needed to do some test drives so I asked him if we could test drive the 2016 LT. He went and got the keys and then we were on our way. When I test drive I like to ask questions about the vehicle because 1) what better time to ask then when youre operating the vehicle and 2) it helps break the sometimes awkward silence. However I was informed by Johnny that he didn't like talking on test drives and just wanted to let us enjoy the ride. Although that was difficult seeing as our sales person was on his cell phone the entire time. After the LT test drive I wanted to test drive the LS just to see if there were any major differences between the two models. Johnny said that was fine and he would be right back with the keys. After standing in the cold for 45 minutes and Johnny never returned you could say I was a little more than peeved. We went into the front to see if the operator could page him. After being paged we saw him emerge from the LOUNGE (just an FYI, that's not where they keep the keys) and go to his manager Tim. Tim came out to my and my dad and looked at us and asked "What's going on here? Are we buying a car or what?" I was shocked at his tone and question and tried to tell him I was doing test drives tonight and purchasing tomorrow. However he cut me off and told me Johnny didn't want to work with me anymore because I was "rude and drove too fast." Then he told me I could "come back tomorrow and see if we could start over." Then we were basically escorted out of the building. 1) I was never rude, if your sales person doesn't know anything about the car I'm going to get annoyed 2) my max speed on the test drive was 75 for about 30 seconds and I then slowed to 65 in the right hand lane 2b) anyone who drives in the Houston or Baytown are knows if everyone flies past you if you're going under 80, which is why I was in the far right lane 2c) Sonics are known to have sluggish acceleration so I was trying to see if it was true (it is) 3) Johnny lied to his manager and told him he had asked me to slow down 3b) we all know that isn't true because he was on his sale phone 4) I did not and will not EVER return to this car dealership because they are nothing but a gaggle of two-faced, lying, elitist, lazy assholes (please excuse my language) 4b) they're on salary not commission so I guess they're attitude makes sense 5) I am now a very happy Ford owner read more

this place has AMAZING service!!! i couldn't have been more blessed with the people that work here. they definitely care for their customers and are always working hard to get the answers and help that you need. I have been here several times unfortunately, because i'm not taking as good care of my car as i should (chevy cruze 2011). the person who always helps me is Kyle. I love this guy.... always so helpful and funny too! He was always prompt on getting back to me on prices and quotes that i needed for my car when it needed service or body work. the best part of it all. when my car was in recall a year ago, they supplied me with a rental car. i absolutely hated it! they had so much patience with me, because i kept changing rental cars almost everyday until i found one i liked. with that kind of customer service and patience from them, you cant deny coming here!! read more

The price that is on the Internet is not the real price. It's only for cash buyers. Beware. And they lie and say that they have to pay your finance company $3000 when in fact they aren't honest to begin with on the price. Just left very upset. After spending 6 hours at this dealership I have a headache. And still didn't get a car. Im glad I have friends that look out for me and came to pick me up. read more

Overall, I think Ron Craft is just like any car dealership; which is average to good. If consumers aren't doing their research/homework, be weary of extra and unneeded costs. Consumers should do research beforehand, such as: getting a feel for market value of interested vehicle, checking the Internet price - YES, sometime there is a difference between internet price and posted price (for used cars), know what you want and willing for pay for, and always ask questions for questionable cost(s)! I recently purchased a vehicle last month, Dec '13, after two trips. My first trip didn't go well. Even though, I walked in with an approved loan from a credit union that listed Ron Craft as one of its "certified dealer". The Sales Manager/Director (Mr. Johnny Lee) tried to convince me to do otherwise; that I "should get a loan from a car bank not credit union". This made no sense to me and is irrelevant, what difference it makes as long as the dealership accepts financing from the credit union. I was told that I can qualify for the same rate, BUT I noticed the payment option was $150 higher (per month) than what the credit union sent to me (Truth in Lending disclosure)! That folks, equates to $9K over the course of loan term (60 months)!!! When I asked why the payment was so much higher, Mr. Lee told me, and I quote, "that was for the OPTIONAL extended warranty, and, as a Manager, I have to include this option for you." Which I think was ridiculous, an optional extended warranty is a Customer's decision; especially when it cost over $9K! Also, Mr. Lee didn't present any documents explaining the cost. I've heard and seen enough after that. I went in for a second trip, after I posted a review of my 1st experience and was contact by Michele Pool, and ended up buying my car. This time, Bart and another Manager, sorry I forgot his name - great guy, was working with me and were very helpful and cooperative to close out the deal. It almost went through without a glitch, and was a total 180 experience. The only glitches was the initial price on paper was different from the internet price, which I had to remind them, and my trade-in offered was lower; which was also corrected. It was smooth sailing after that, I was in and our within reasonable time. Walked out driving the 2010 Corvette Gran Sport! Again folks, do your homework! read more

If I lived near another dealership, I would not bring my car to Ron Craft. I bring it in with problems and I leave with problems. Just because my car does not make the noise it makes every day for your 'rattle man' does not mean my car is okay. And who just puts a broken jack back in the car for me to drive off with? So then I had to come back and request a new one.. Not to mention you broke a piece off the back of my car when I took it to you. I am so done with Chevrolet. When I can trade it in, I'm going back to Ford. read more
