A selection of bats (from low end to high end), batting pads in all shapes, sizes and weights, and a similarly wide variety of gloves and the now essential helmets. I also remember that they were willing to advise me in terms of exactly what I was looking for and how much I was willing to pay, and I clearly remember that they knocked 10% off the total price because I told them which team I played for. So I went back in last week, and gladly, nothing seems to have changed. I'll remember this place if I ever take up cricket again.

This place is like a down graded version of a high street sports store. From the outside looking in…read moreit does not look like a great establishment and so it turns out that this is not really a top quality sports store. There is alot of produce within the store but limited numbers of each type of sportswear whereas within a high street store there would be countless numbers of each product. The prices here are reasonable but for a tad extra you could visit a more mainstream store. If you did decide a visit to the high street was more what you were after then you would find a better quality of service and of product. The staff in the store seem a little disinterested and when they do chat to you, the impression is given that they are soley interested in a sale rather than the happiness of the customer, this is something which did not impress me at all. On the whole not a great place and if you need sports kit stick with what you already know rather than trying to save cash here.

Dainese sell jackets and trousers that are leather but are all modern and actually quite good looking at the same time. They also stock a range of baffling (to me at least) protective devices for your back, knees and things like that. They're meant to stop you getting too hurt when you fly off your bike going at a ridiculous speed around a corner in the Lake District.

Actually, because I was going in here so many times, at some point the owner came to me and asked me few questions. That was the point when I've asked if they need extra staff. Well, in exchange he said that I need to know quite a lot about bikes, stuff, and I left him quite surprised. Anyway, it didn't happen in the end. I got a different job meanwhile. But still, for the sake of it, sometimes I still go in there, happy like a little bunny. One day, I'm going to buy lots and lots of stuff from that shop. It's to dear to me, and too cool to be ignored.
