Sport's Direct predates, but is situated in the Liverpool ONE development. It is a large store which is crammed full of rails of sports wear, shoes, equipment and accessories. The store is always very busy so sometimes it can be difficult to get around the store. The queues at the tills are also often quite long because of this. They sell a huge range of clothing for men, women or children. They sell tracksuits, shorts, jackets, t-shirts, vests, gym wear, socks, skirts, trousers and sports underwear. They also have a large selection of shoes and clothing from brands such as Nike, Vans, Converse, Adidas, Reebok, Dunlop, Rocket Dog and many more. All the items on sale are quite cheap, and most of the rails have further reduction signs on them. You can pick up a decent pair of trainers for £20-£30 at Sports Direct. The staff are friendly and helpful despite being a little harassed with the shop being so busy.

If you're really a sporty type of person, it is always a good idea to pop down to Sports Direct to purchase your goods, not only because you can grab a bargain but they sell a wide range of products for both men and women across all ages at fairly reasonable prices. Sports Direct in Liverpool One has two big floors hosting a variety of clothes such as cycling and running gear, a trekking department and football jersey's. The upper floor has lots of sports trainers for all types of sports like football, boxing and tennis. Prices vary from cheap to expensive depending on the model and fashion trend. As well as this, there is a range of professional sports equipment and accessories (even for camping too) so the choice is all yours!

Stocking Sports Direct's usual range of the good (cut-price Adidas and Nike gear) the bad (obscenely coloured Ocean Pacific polo shirts and Airwalk trainers) and the odd (two-person golf umbrellas and day-glo ping pong balls) there is little special about this particular Liverpool One based branch, except for the unusual selection of football shirts available. Where your average branch of JJB or JD Sports might carry the odd Brazil, France or Netherlands shirt if you're lucky, here they have Ivory Coast, Mexico, Russia and more. The sizes can be a little hit and miss (a lot of XS or XXL and not much in between) and they rarely have the matching shorts or socks in, but still this is a great place to get hold of that obscure football shirt. Also the last time I was there I picked up a perfectly decent Donnay squash racquet for less than £9 which is an absolute bargain. I still haven't used it yet but I've been busy alright, get off my back.

I expected to see perhaps a small selection of various sporting goods and equipment as well as maybe a few pieces of sporting apparel. However, when I entered I discovered that Romida only sells equipment and apparel related to cricket, much to my surprise. Apparently Romida is renowned for its selection of cricket gear in the sporting world, so I guess that shows just how much I know or care about cricket (always found it a bit boring, to be honest). Whilst I didn't find the equipment and products they sold particularly useful personally, I was impressed with the very extensive selection of gear available, which makes Romida a good place for any avid cricket players to visit if they need any equipment at a reasonable price. For those of you that don't fancy venturing out to the shop itself, there is also a very useful and easy to use website from which you can order all your gear too.

The service I must say really is second to none. Online orders are processed as quicker than any other online store I've ever visited. If you do venture into the store the consistency in great customer service is like a breath of fresh air. If only all retailers treated their customers like Romida do, oh what a great world that would be. Clearly the service comes from the passion of the owners which seeps through to all members of staff. They genuinely all love cricket and it shows, as they are able to offer you great advice. If you are a cricket lover or player, Romida is the only place for you!!!!!

Adidas - Adidas Shop, Liverpool ONE

A fairly small, compact branch of Adidas in Liverpool One, the store its-self from the outside…read morelooks quite modern, and inside it has a decent vibe with a nice selection of items from clothing to gloves to trainers for a store of its' size. I called in here for two reasons: 1. To temporarily shelter from the rain as the Liverpool One is barely covered 2. As I visited on "Cyber Monday", I called in to check out the offers going on in-store for Black Friday/Cyber Monday. The items on sale seemed to be priced at a competitive rate, obviously the full retail price to me seemed a bit off-putting, however, I did find a nice pair of gloves for between 15 and 17 pounds, reduced from between 21 and 24, this obviously proved to be an offer as the stock of this item seemed a little depleted, which is unsurprising considering this works out at around 30% off and the fact that with winter coming, it is very cold outside and certainly was on the evening of my visit to the store. They had a good selection of football jerseys, obviously, this didn't include my favourite team Manchester City, or Liverpool's teams Liverpool and Everton as those teams don't have kits manufactured by Adidas, but it did include jerseys from the likes of Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and worse still Manchester United, who are huge rivals of Liverpool and my favourite team, Manchester City - I can't help but wonder why these shirts are on for sale here but this is an approach many retailers do of supplying kits from teams with very few fans in the local area. The staff around the store seemed friendly enough. Although not as large as other sports shops, such as Sports Direct nearby or Adidas in my hometown of Manchester, this is still a decent store with a decent selection of goods, for a store of its' size, and although there were issues with original pricing, and maybe a small selection of trainers out of all things, especially compared to nearby stores such as the huge JD Sports store just a minute or two walk away, this store can improve but does surely deserve a three-star rating.
