Alll of our emails and phone calls were answered promptly and courteously. The fee for pick up and drop was nominal and helped out a lot. The textile selection was endless. Delivery and drop teams were polite and very conscious of the furniture they were moving as well as the home in which they were moving the furniture into. I loved this couch when I bought it in 1997. But all the moves and climates took a toll on its insides but not its bones. I only had purched enough fabric for the seat cushion, back Euro pillows will be the final addition to this grand lady. Thank you again, everyone at Young's Upholstery!

After a lot of research, I picked Nancy's Custom Upholstery & Slipcovers in Virginia Beach, to cut…read moreand convert a hospital bed mattress into an upholstered daybed cushion. I live in Hampton. I recently had an ottoman re-upholstered at a local shop. They charged me a lot of money for inferior work, and I did not want to repeat the experience. I could not have been happier with Nancy's. I sent Nancy photos of the mattress and a photo of the daybed I liked. She and her daughter asked a lot of good questions and made excellent recommendations over the phone. They thoughtfully pre-washed my fabric, cut the mattress to size, wrapped it in Dacron, used their own fabric to extend the cushion cover, added a zipper, then went above-and-beyond by completing the work under a tight deadline, and picking the mattress up and dropping it off, all without additional charges. I highly recommend Nancy's if you are looking for exceptionally beautiful, quality work at a fair price, and excellent customer service.

I was in the market for upholstery because I wanted some furniture restored. I did not realized how much upholstery costs when dealing with certain items. There are different pattern types. There are different companies, etc. Basically it is like buying new. I thought having items upholstered would save me time in looking for new furniture, but it is just as time consuming. I thought I would save some coins too. But I guess it depends on how much work is needed. Oh well, I am contemplating on buying new since the cost isn't too much of a spread. But if I decide to stick with the old, I will definitely come here. Nevertheless, the young man that owns this shop is super friendly and he is willing to work with you with a smile. Check him out. I had to have the couches fixed because the work was not satisfactory. I also had to send back some of the dining room chairs because, again, they were not upholstered properly. He took forever to return the dining room chairs. I requested a reduction in the price and he offered me $500.00 which he never paid. His excuse was that another person did the work but he clearly should have checked everything before the items were delivered. I think that he was hoping that I would not notice the flaws in his work. Unless his business has undergone a significant change, I would not recommend him.
