We initially decided to go with another outfit (who will remain namless...) who ended up cancelling on us the day before they were scheduled to start the work. With the difficulty of finding contractors after the pandemic, we thought we were in real trouble. Then we found Mendez painters and we were saved! Within a day of calling, Florentino came out to inspect the site and emailed us a quote which was shockingly affordable and included all of the details we wanted to see. So, we put down a deposit and they fit us into their (very busy) summer schedule. Florentino and his crew did amazing work on what turned out to be a huge job. They scraped all of the old flaking paint off, getting down to bare wood in many parts. After power washing, they followed up by using a (very high quality) oil-based primer over the entire house which they then sanded smooth and filled in all of the holes/cracks in our siding. Due to the rain, it took a little longer than expected to get the work done, but they made up for lost time by bringing a HUGE, highly experienced crew. They used Sherwin Williams Duration paint on both the siding as well as the trim. Florentino and his crew really went the extra mile, even filling in some large holes in our siding and re-attaching some worn trim at no extra charge. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to repaint their home.

I hired VIP Painting to repaint and recaulk the exterior trim and windows on the house. The siding…read morewas good (it was painted in the factory and should last 20 years), but the original wood trim wasn't. Most of it had started to peel a few years after it was repainted. Now I needed a painter who could repaint and recaulk everything.... without accidentally changing the color of the siding. Enter VIP painting. They came in and pressure washed the house, and hand scraped and prepped everything. They were so detailed oriented that not only did they make sure I knew exactly what material they used (all very high quality) but checked in on color and gloss. In fact, they also repainted the doors, metal handrails on the front door and the restained and resealed the doorstep. The house looks great and is ready to weather the elements for several more years. I can't recommend VIP Painting enough and am already telling my co-workers to hire them.

In March a good friend of mine called me up and said that he found a good painter for me for the…read moreright price. He also recommended that I would do it right away. I called Josh and talked to him about my house that is huge and old; as I told him, I needed to repair the windows before the paint job could be completed. Josh said that he knew a carpenter who could do the windows and would paint the house after the repairs were done. As it turned out, I needed to get 27 windows fixed. So I had a bargain, a good carpenter who was ready to go up three stories to get my windows on the top floor and a painter who was going to paint my three-decker. Eventually, J&J came after all the repairs were completed and painted my house in 10 days. They were extremely efficient, professional, and pleasant to deal with. They answered my concerns by scraping, sanding, and caulking all surfaces. They used primer and good paint. Some of my neighbors came over to Josh to ask him whether he could paint their houses too. There was no drama, no mess. They told me in advance to inform other residents not to use the common area for a day or two. I definitely hope to hire them for inside jobs and recommend them for outside painting.
