This was exactly the experience we were hoping for! Cabins come with mini fridge outside grill, firepit, beds, couches, and tv with cable. The park itself has WiFi. We brought our two dogs and they are having a blast. The lake is a short walk down the hill and perfect place to take a little swim with the pups! If the cabin wasn't rented out for the weekend we would of stayed the entire week. We might even come back after this weekends renter is out. This place is absolutely amazing if your looking for a rustic romantic get a away! Bring bug spray!

These cabins are being restored over the fall and winter of 2018 and will be ready for overnight rentals starting May 1, 2019. Each open cabin is about 400 square feet consisting of bunk beds, a full size bed, pull-out couch and kitchen table. Each cabin has electricity, however there is no plumbing. Fear not, there is a hand pump well and seasonal restroom centrally located between the 4 cabins as well as showers and flush restrooms just up at the hall for your use. The cabins are right on Friess Lake too which is 121 acre lake with a maximum depth of 48 feet. It's a perfect lake for fishing, swimming, and paddling a kayak, canoe, or paddle board (rentals onsite)! Glacier Hills is located just 2.5 miles from Holy Hill in the beautifully Kettle Moraine! Make sure to checkout all the amazing golf and recreational opportunities as well as all the local amazing restaurants/bars too!

We rented two of the cabins and the amount of space inside was perfect for this family of 4! Each kid got their own loft, we had a bed with wonderful space. The number of things to do while there was perfect for the ADHD kids and the ability to sit and watch them do ALL THE THINGS was perfect for this tired momma! We played mini-golf at 6:45 am, horseshoes at 6:54 am, and playground at 7 am to just start all over again (multiple times)! Definitely plan your drinking schedule with the fact that the bathroom is not in the cabin but still close! We had s'mores on the fire pit and two nights of BBQ! We even swam in the lake and the kids LOVED the inflatables (even the 40-year-old fat dudes got out there). The owners were incredible and friendly. Really can see that they care and have built a wonderful community. We will be back!

Vintage Airstream with an awesome view and amenities. Just me and the wife. We hit a couple of local restaurants and had a couple great meals. Barley's Hops & Malt and East Troy House Restaurant. We drove to Milwaukee and visited some old friends on Thursday. It is only 40 miles away. And the hosts stopped by and spent some campfire time with us. Awesome! On Friday our children joined us and we moved to the 'Hilton'. We treated them because they grew up camping with us and we thought this was a great way to get together, reminisce and be together without all of the setup and hassle of camping. We sat around the campfire, had some great meals. We had Dutch oven pizza in the fire pit on Friday night. Steak and lobster, COC, twice baked potatoes, and stuffed chicken breast (some not care for steak and lobster) all on the propane grill on site. Almost forgot the Dutch oven breakfasts, Biscuits, Gravy and Egg Casserole (https://iamhomesteader.com/biscuits-and-gravy-casserole/) and Overnight Dutch Oven French Toast Casserole (https://homemadeheather.com/overnight-dutch-oven-french-toast-casserole/) Extra large fire pit and propane grill made it easy to cook some big family meals. There is not anything that we needed that was not provided (bring your own food of course). Truly recommend Camp Kettlewood. Planning another trip in September.

It's Situated conveniently between Milwaukee and Madison, serving as more than just a campsite, but a great spot to hike, fish, and swim. It's a really big park (literally 100 sites!) so there is plenty of peaceful outdoor space to enjoy. We were lucky enough to snag an electric site, which comes in handy for our RV. Beyond the RV we had two tents, and everything fit comfortably. This site in particular was tucked back close to the lake, but I can see how the outskirt sites closer to the highway might be not as well enjoyed. This campground is fairly wooded with plenty of shade which we appreciated. All of the grounds are well-kept, including the paved pathways throughout. We loved the various playgrounds for our kiddos too. The lake itself has a fishing pier, solid sand area for swimming/hanging in the warmer months, a boat launch, adjacent restrooms that are clean, and lots of walking paths surrounded. All in all, it was a goodie and we had an enjoyable time.

The entrance was unmanned (Wednesday morning in early May), but we entered with our Wisconsin Parks Annual Pass. We were pleased that, between the maps at the entrance station and displays there, we were able to figure out where we would hike next. (Not at Ottawa Lake). We continued on to check out the recreation area. There is a small lake that features a fishing pier, pet swim area, boat launch, shelter, clean rest room, horseshoes, and short waterfront walking path (no pets). There's also a longer pet trail that is not waterfront. There does not appear to be a trail around the lake. We were one of only a few cars in the parking area though the car next to us had at least a dozen fishing rods in the grass. Suddenly, a long line of cars pulled into the lot, filled with teenagers who would be users of all of the fishing rods! The main feature of the recreation area appears to be the campground, with showers, flush toilets, water spigots, and dump stations. (Seasonal).

I literally took a knife and scrapped funk off the arm of the couch. That piece of furniture is as old as that cabin and is as unsanitary and nasty as they come. The mattress covers are just as questionable and probably haven't been changed or washed all season long. The carpet up in the loft is a fine Petri dish for only god know what and it's obvious that a vacuum can't fit up there so I have no idea how they "clean it. For $200 a night some improvements and upgrades definitely need to be made.
