Deaton Truck & Tire Service - Onsite Fleet Service

    Deaton Truck & Tire Service

Unnecessary Parts Replaced - Problem Not Fixed…read more While traveling through Georgia, I brought my 2000 Freightliner Century to Deaton Truck & Tire Service in Adairsville because of intermittent power steering failure. Over the phone, Joey diagnosed it as a failing power steering pump and gearbox. Both expensive parts were replaced -- but the original problem remained. After leaving the shop, a trusted mechanic in Dothan, Alabama, discovered the real issue: a seized telescoping steering column, a common Freightliner problem that was easily fixed with cleaning and lubrication. Had proper diagnostic steps been taken (such as pressure-testing the pump or inspecting the column), the costly and unnecessary replacement of the pump and gearbox could have been avoided. The oversight left me with a large repair bill and no resolution. I respect hardworking truck technicians, but this experience revealed a serious lack of diagnostic accuracy and attention to detail. Independent operators like me depend on fair and competent service -- and this visit was both disappointing and expensive. -- Dave "Letterfly" Knoderer, Plant City, FL

Branson Tractor - Leaked all the fluid out after about 2 hours

It really is a shame, the tractors themselves arent that bad, I actually own 2 Bransons and they…read moreare 2004 and 2007 and I have almost 2000 hours and really the break downs have been very basic and low cost. Everything and anything you buy will have its problem and that's to be expected. However the mark of a good business is how they respond to those problems, and this is where Branson and its dealers really drop the ball... No responses from Branson for anything ever....ever. On top of that the local dealer knows he is the only one for miles, so you end up getting screwed for parts and service. For those reasons I will never ever get another Branson based on the parts and the service, it doesn't help that the manuals are not in English and are so badly written... Sigh.. what a shame they actually aren't bad machines. You can have a beautiful machine rendered useless because you cant get a simple part... I rate the tractors a 4/5 And the service a 0/5

Company does not honnor waranties and the tractors fall apart very fast…read more Make sure you do your homework and see how others report how manufacturer does not honor waranty, tractors have loader, engine, electrical and cooling issues. Use dealer locator to see if a dealer even exists near you or WHEN (not if) you have problems you will be required on your own dime to get your equipment to them for repair. If the dealer is not in your area or even state it will cost you a pretty penny getting it back and forth to the dealer, ours had to travel over 5 hours each way. Interest on these tractors is very high, Kubota and Deere offer much better finance options. Resale value is very low on these tractors due to there bad reputation and low quality. If you combine these FACTS you will see these tractors are of vertually no value and certainly not a choice over low finance costs, better resale value, more reliable and closer dealer support of the more well known equipment. Avoid Branson they make a bad product.
