This company and its drivers are the best in the business. Our family of 4 went to Rome recently. We didn't want to rent a car but getting places in your 70's isn't as easy as it was in bygone days when we would just walk. We used this service for the transfer to and from the airport as well as short hops to the train station, the Vatican, and the catacombs. They are punctual and communicate about your upcoming rides so you don't have to wonder if they are going to remember to pick you up. Drivers are friendly and helpful. My wife and I were on a cruise and had back to back port days in Naples and Rome. We used Rome in Limo on both days. We were given a discount for booking two days and prepaying. Both days were amazing. Giovani in Naples and Peter in Rome. Both drivers picked us up at our ship and spoke great English. They both were proud to show us their cities and you could tell their pride in the place they lived. We were able to see so many amazing things in just the two days. Giovani took us to all of the great places for coffee and pastries and pizza. Peter was able to drop off at directly in front of the coliseum, Vatican, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, shopping, and so much more. I celebrated my 40th birthday in Italy June 2-13 with 23 other people. I contacted Rome in Limo over a year out and they assisted me right away. They provided me a quote and any changes that I needed to make they made them right away. She was always available and answered all of my questions. I made changes up until the day before services was rendered. We booked them for three services and they were on time for everything, I didn't have to call and follow up. They were very professional. We were smart enough to book Rome In Limo for a private tour out of Livorno on our recent Transatlantic Cruise in November 2016 and it was a definite highlight of our trip! The day before our tour, we discovered that our ship (due to high winds) was docking in La Spezia instead of Livorno. After a panic attack and an email to Jany, I was relieved to get a fast response that they would be able to accommodate our last minute change of plans with a small upcharge. We were happy to pay it to not miss our excursion to Lucca, an Olive Oil/Winery and Pisa. And what a day we had thanks to our terrific knowledgeable driver, Vinny! He kept us entertained with endless information and took us to all three planned locations. Pinch me, I had to be dreaming as we found ourselves having a private lunch at the most amazing organic olive oil/winery in Tuscany! We got to walk around charming Lucca and had our awestruck moment in Pisa. What a worry-free way to maximize one's time on a port stop! And when we compared prices with what the ship was charging to be on a bus with a bunch of other people, it really wasn't that much more to have a nice Mercedes and a private driver. Worth every penny! Note: they operate in several areas of Italy with lots of different types of tours available. Next time (and I know there will be a next time because we tossed a coin in Rome), we know we'll be back to Italy, and booking a Rome In Limo tour will be top of our list! We stayed in Rome for a long weekend, and to spare our feet we booked a private chauffeur for a day. We booked an all-day-sightseeing (meaning 09-17) and we do not regret it! Even if it is a bit pricy, it is worth every cent. Staying a long weekend in Rome trying to do everything by foot is crazy! That will kill your feet! We had Franco guiding us and Federico driving. RomeInLimo thinks of everything - bottles of water for you, mobile phone to call for pickup when you are done seeing a sight and they also took us to the best restaurant you can imagine for lunch! They really care for you to see all the sights, even if you are behind schedule they make sure you'll get to see everything. And don't be afraid to express your own wishes! To use this service one of the first days in Rome was a great tip we got from a reviewer at another site, that way you can return by yourself for the sights you missed or want to see again. Also, buy the tickets in advance for Sistine Chapel, Colosseum and Palantino Hill. It will save you valuable time. Unfortunately it is not possible to save time the same way going up in the St Peter's Dome. (Queuing and climbing can take 60 mins) Bare in mind that Colosseum, Palantino, Sistine, St Pete's dome eats time from your paid service. Consider skipping a few of them and visit them another day by foot. Pros: Outstanding service! Many laughs! Cons: They accept only cash, which is a bit annoying (carrying that much cash). From the early planning stages months in advance to the actual tour date with Rome in Limo (RIL), the entire experience was nothing less than perfect. Quick and detailed e-mail responses from Jany eased my concerns about trusting a company with a considerable portion of my parents' "bucket list" Europe trip. We reserved the Rome 3 days package with RIL which included a Civitavecchia port pick up, 6-hour tour of Rome on day 1, 3-hour Vatican tour on day 2, and 6-hour hidden Rome tour on day 3. For day 1 & 3, we had the pleasure of experiencing the city of Rome with our driver Peter. His skillful driving and ability to provide detailed guidance on all areas enhanced our visits. Peter was also very accommodating and kind. We are thankful for his willingness to accommodate our post-cruise fatigue, as he offered to adjust our day 1 tour time length to allow for more rest & moved the unused time to day 3. He also provided advice on when would be the best times to visit the busiest sites in Rome..as a result we were often able to beat the crowds. Always early, organized, and attentive to even the smallest of details, we were able to truly experience Rome in 3 days what could have taken others a week or more to do. For our private 3 hour walking tour of the Vatican, we were fortunate to have Alessandro as our excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about the museum, church, chapel, and art. His enthusiasm and genuine interest in the art throughout the Vatican made our overall experience more meaningful. His familiarity with the museum made navigating its crowded halls easier, as he was able to request accommodations from the staff for my mother (who has difficulty standing for long periods). He was always willing to take our picture and provided a map & excellent recommendations for food and gelato after our tour finished. My family and I cannot thank Peter, Alessandro, and RIL enough for all of the wonderful experiences we had during our 3 day stay in Rome. During our cruise along the Italian coast last April (2016), we had the pleasure of being accompanied by Tour Guides from Rome In Limo for 3 of our Port Excursions! If you want to spend the day in a Region with someone who not only knows the area but lives there or grew up there, use Rome In Limo! Their guides are wonderful! Also, we were traveling with a 2 year old and all 3 of the Guides were great with her! Here's a recap of our trip: First stop was Naples, and our first tour was of the Almafi Coast and Pompeii, First, we visited Sorrento and Positano and our guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the areas and took us to a wonderful restaurant up on a hill for lunch! At Pompeii, we had a special Tour Guide arranged by our guide who had actually worked at the archaeological site and we were so pleased to have a private, guided tour with her. Of course, we stopped for Gelato before returning to the Ship. Our third port was Livorno and we spent the day touring the Tuscan Countryside and visited San Gimignano & Volterra. Once again, because our guide grew up in the area she was very knowledgeable about the history of the villages and knew so many people as we walked around! I booked Rome in Limo after researching on TripAdvisor and Yelp. I was browsing extensively for a tour group and needing a tour as we were only there a short time and wanted to see all the sights. I liked their website as it was easy to navigate and also the pricing is very very clear. I emailed them after deciding to book and was quickly replied to. Their customer service is great and helpful considering I was booking from halfway across the world. Our driver was Vinny and he was incredible! His knowledge of Rome is extensive and like he is an encyclopedia. He had a general list, but also took us to a few amazing places he thought we would like. We really appreciated the fact that he would ask us if we were interested in a place he suggested and if we wanted to stop there. If we didn't, he just moved on to the next place and knew everything about it then. We could easily point to some structure and he would just know everything about it. He was accommodating, knowledgeable, and at the same time not intrusive of our family spending time together. Our van was clean and comfortable- they even brought waters for us so that was nice! We had an excellent driver who managed to show us everything on our list, he was helpful in suggesting everything, he parked conveniently for us to pop into this or that so we could go see it and hop back into the air conditioned car or he let us linger and stay looking and exploring as long as we wanted. We decided to take a private tour during a day trip to Rome. Booking the reservation through the TripAdvisor system was surprisingly easy, and Jany at Rome in Limo was great to work with and very responsive! Our driver in Rome, Enrico, was amazing! He was on time, provided great commentary and conversation, and (of course) brought us around to Rome's greatest sights, which would have been much more difficult to accomplish via public transportation within our timeframe. Best of all, he 1) took us to the best viewpoint in Rome, 2) found us an amazing, reputable place to exchange our USD to euros (we had issues finding good rates in Florence), 3) squeezed in a quick visit for the Trevi Fountain even though we were running low on time, and 4) got us a table for lunch at the amazing Ristorante Roma Sparita even though we didn't have reservations. This is the second time that we utilized RomeInLimo. I can state that they are the best out there. During our most recent trip to Italy we utilized them to transport us from Rome to Sorrento with a stop in Positano. It was fabulous. During the ride we were discussing with our driver how best to see Pompei, he recommend that we contact RomeInLimo and change our ride back to include a stop in Pompei with a private guide. This is our 2nd time to Italy and based on our last trip using Rome in Limo there was never any doubt who we'd use on this trip. Our cruise ports were Florence, Rome and Naples. Our driver, Gary, picked us up at the Civitavecchia port and we explained we had visited Rome 3 years earlier and were looking more for a 'local taste' for our day excursion - he did not disappoint one bit! Gary took us to local small towns (even the community where he lives, we met his wife, his dog, visited the beach he goes to - got to put our feet in black, beautiful sparkly sand and enjoyed a beer on the beach). Five stars is not enough! This company is first class. It all starts with Jany, who is amazing. She was very responsive, answered all our questions and helped us schedule five different private tours, Rome, The Vatican, The Amalfi Coast, Pompeii and Pisa with two wine tastings included. We also used them as a transfer from the Rome airport to our hotel and again back to the airport when we left Italy. Each of our tour guides (Alex, Stephan, Simona, Luca and Nicola) were excellent. I find it very very hard to believe that ANY company can compare to or beat Rome in Limo! They ARE WONDERFUL! Don't get me wrong.. if something I pay for is not right, I'm not afraid to give negative feedback where deserved. But in the case of Rome in Limo, my husband and I cannot say enough good things! They are awesome! Jany and Duman are super and will help you organize any tours you wish to have. We had Rome in Limo for two days of our 7 day European trip... wow, I wish we had used them more! They absolutely MADE our trip the fabulous time it was! We had tours from them in both Rome and Florence. The two tour guides we had were amazing! Knowledgeable, funny, courteous, efficient, on time, just made our visit A+++. The cost was really low considering the special, personal treatment one gets.... being in a comfortable Limo with chilled water available. Said limos being able to go on all the streets in Florence and Rome, to places the big tour buses are not able. The guides took us exactly where we wanted to go, got us advance tickets to certain museums and sites, and arranged for us to have an excellent tour guide when we toured the Vatican in Rome! I have severe arthritis and mobility issues. Our drivers made sure to drop me off at the closest spots to the places we were seeing. One afternoon, we had lunch at a cafe in Florence... and it started to rain while we were in the restaurant. Our limo was parked about 1 block away (as close as Fabrizio could get).... I was shocked when Fabrizio came in to the restaurant, and brought each of the four of us an umbrella for our walk back to the car!!! RomeInLimo offers the most excellent customer service. This tour was the best! We took the gastronomy tour from Naples with Jonny. We were only expecting a driver but Jonny was full of knowledge and kept us engaged and entertained. We toured an olive oil company, made the best pizza in Sorrento and tried some wine on Mt. Vesuvius. The van with A/C was comfortable and perfect for a hot July day. During all of our tours while in Italy, Jonny was the only one who had a cooler with cold bottles of water for us. With just 48 hours to spend in Rome my husband and I opted for a 2-day tour with Rome in Limo. Day 1 is a 6 hour whirlwind of historical sites (which I reviewed separately - it was excellent and amazing). Day 2 is a 3-hour personally guided tour of the Vatican. We met our guide Alessia at a coffee shop across the street from the Vatican (she was holding a sign with our name on it). We had Franco as our driver and he told us all kinds of history during our time in the car and dropped us off at the perfect place at each site. He was always waiting when we were finished with our tours and even had bottled water for us. We decided to grab a snack instead of lunch and head for another tour so he took us to the best "pizza by the slice" place so we could maximize our touring time!! Yummy pizza too!! While recently in Rome with another couple, we booked a day tour with Rome In Limo. Our driver Enrico arrived at our hotel in a luxury car, on time and ready to go. He asked the right questions as to where we had been before and what we would like to see, and for the most part we left it up to him to help us explore the city. Good decision! Our very knowledgeable driver Enrico got us to many places not accessible to a tour bus, and with a car we saw far more than would have been possible any other way. If you are fortunate enough to be driven around Rome by Rolando Zerey you will have an experience that will surely be a highlight of your vacation. Knowing that we had only one day ashore in Rome . . . in the middle of summer . . . and so many sights we hoped to squeeze in, we opted to hire a private driver. We hit the jackpot when Rome in Limo sent us Rolando. He is the previous owner of Rome Limousine Tour (where you can read more about him) and has spent a career working as a guide - a driver - a tour company owner and now enjoys what he does so much, that rather than retire, he works several days a week for Rome In Limo. This man is FULL of stories and had us literally crying, we were laughing so hard (at which point he pulled out a box of Kleenex - because it is apparently not an isolated experience for him). He dropped names of previous clients that could be an article in People magazine: Tom Cruise - Sylvester Stallone - Liz Taylor and Richard Burton! He's been at this a long time and is true professional. His English is perfect (he went to college in Boston) so it is logical that he would be the one assigned to drive such notable clients. We felt that we were in the presence of Roman Royalty touring with him, everywhere we went people seemed to know (and love him). He had a day planned out for us based on his knowledge of when crowds hit different sites, that would enable us to do as much as possible. We were able to see the Coliseum, Trevi fountain Spanish steps, an amazing overview of the city, the Vatican and even a built in stop for a delicious cappuccino (and free/ clean restroom). He thought of EVERYTHING. He had a cell phone that he gave us when we were dropped right at the curb of each stop so that we could let him know when we were ready to be picked up. He even carried long pants in his limo in case it was a day at the Vatican where dress code was being strictly enforced. Throughout the day, unlike many drivers who are not trained or educated to give historical information, Rolando, who has years of experience as a guide was able to tell us about everything we passed or asked about. He could teach a class on Rome! If all of this wasn't enough, I have to finish with our most memorable part of the day: lunch! After a whirlwind morning, seeing more than we had imagined we could ever squeeze in we headed towards the Vatican for a 2pm tour. By now it was close to 1:00 and the crowds at the Vatican were CRAZY. I figured that lunch was just not going to fit in and we were arriving extra early because of the crowds - but no - Rolando had a plan. We pulled onto a street right next to the Vatican gate - solid cars - no parking - but Rolando stopped and started honking and waving at a waiter at the corner restaurant, Ristorante ai Musei in Roma dal 1920. who when he saw him, gave him a huge smile and came running over to pull a chair out of the parking space right in front of the door for us to park in. He ushered us in, while being greeted left and right by not only the people who work there, but most of the patrons. We felt like we were the guest of a true dignitary (which I truly believe we were). Our table was not only ready for us to sit down immediately, but already set with bottles of wine, antipasta trays and caprese. Within minutes we were treated to pizza, 2 different pasta dishes, a veal and a chicken dish. Everything was delicious, the service beyond friendly and efficient. Our dinner finished with the BEST Napoleon I have ever eaten and delicious bottles of sparkling Moscato. At some point at the end of our meal, as we were having pictures taken of our group, we started to chat with other patrons who asked where we were visiting from. . . somehow this lead to virtually the entire restaurant cheering "California . . . California . . . California . . ." and to top the meal off - our bill was less than 20 Euro a person! Rolando had us back to our ship easily within our time frame and could not have possibly made our day more perfect. We will forever remember and be grateful for having had the rare opportunity to experience Rome with Rolando! read more

Rome in Limo was by far the best car service that we have used. We started off in Naples with Enrico who was very knowledgeable about the areas. We went to Sorrento then the Almalfi Coast to Poisitano followed with the ruins of Pompeii. He was very friendly and helped us to always be a few steps ahead of the tour buses. The following day was Rome Nic picked us up at the cruise port and was even better. He drove us into and all over Rome giving us the history of the city as well as taking us to all the sights. He was extremely helpful when we were going into the Colluseum as well as the Sistine Chapel in the easiest way to enter and avoid the lines which was wonderful.The third day we were blessed with Simona who went above and beyond taking our group of 6 who all had somewhat different plans set up. Planning our first trip to Rome was daunting. I read a review for Rome in a Limo and sent them our itinerary and asked for guidance and availability. This led to many back and forth questions. Let me say that I do not know when Jany sleeps. My questions, and I had a lot of them, were answered within fifteen minutes every time. There is a time difference and it did not matter. She was incredibly responsive. Jany provided multiple options from pick ups from airport and cruise ships to day and night tours around the city. We started with a pick up from the airport and a tour of Rome prior to going to hotel. Fabio picked us up and from the moment we got in the car with him, he treated us like family. I can't say enough wonderful things about him. He seemed to know exactly what we were interested in, gave us amazing history, stopped for suggested photos, the list is endless. We ended up asking him to pick us up from the cruise and self design a day for us. It was my girls top pick of the trip. A beautiful trip to a small town in the country along with wine tasting and a lovely restaurant on the lake. A tour of the Vatican provided us with Michaela, a lovely young woman who made a very crowded and warm venue into a wonderful educational and informative tour that we would have never gotten with a group of 20 with headsets. Her knowledge and warmth provided another great tour. We had multiple pick-ups and not once did I need to confirm times of drivers. Everyone was on time, extremely helpful. We have used Romeinlimo for multiple tours and transfers over two long visits to Italy, and they have consistently delivered an excellent experience at a good value. We are so happy we choose this company to show us around Rome. Our driver, Stefan, picked us up at the airport, and drove us to all of the key locations we wanted to see prior to taking us to the ship for our cruise. He was very knowledgeable and personable. I have used Rome in Limo's services for several years (8times) and they have truly showed us most all of Italy. I could not be more pleased with their service, professionalism, and knowledge. We saw and learned more in one day than we could have ever possibly done on our own. All drivers and guides are so well educated in the history and add personal stories and information that make it so enjoyable. We have toured in one van of 8 persons and with large groups in multiple vans and all went without a hitch. You can customize your tours to your liking. When we sadly had to depart Italy we felt like we were leaving old friends and family behind. I would never consider another company to tour with in Italy!!
