The pasta I got

I was really excited to try Roma's for the first time. I ordered directly from their website and got the Tortellini Angelo, cheese sticks, and a salad. Even though it was a bit of a drive for me, I decided to go because I wanted to check out the restaurant and hopefully come back later with friends for dine-in. I was excited and even took a photo of the interior to send a friend on how cute it was Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the customer service experience. When I got home, I realized the tortellini I received looked nothing like the picture shown on the website. What I got was tortellini in a white sauce with broccoli, which was very different from what was advertised online. I called the restaurant because I thought maybe there had been a mistake. I understand restaurants get busy and mix-ups happen. I've worked in restaurants before myself. What really upset me was the way the situation was handled. The owner, who said his name was Julian, kept interrupting me while I was trying to explain the issue. He repeatedly insisted that I had ordered through a third party, which was not true at all since I ordered directly through their website. I explained multiple times that the dish I received did not match the photo online, but he continued telling me I was wrong and that I had selected the wrong item. Although he offered to let me drive back and exchange it, the conversation felt very dismissive and rude. I even asked if there was someone else I could speak with or an email I could contact, and he abruptly responded that he was the owner. The food itself may have been okay, but customer service matters just as much. I left the interaction feeling frustrated and disappointed. The least he could have done was offer a refund for the pasta or a credit if I came back to get it right. I also posted pictures of the website item versus what I actually received so people can judge for themselves. Hopefully Julian sees this and handles situations like this more professionally in the future since he boasted of owning 7 locations.

Stuffed mushrooms

AMAZING FOOD & SERVICE! The Chicken Frances is my favorite along with the stuffed mushrooms and the tiramisu is to die for. Service is always good and the atmosphere feels quaint, yet upscale. Cute for date night too.

Sausage Calzone. Sorry I had already torn into it.

Lots of parking. Restaurant was nice and very clean. We were met at the door and shown to our table right away. They were very busy by the way. Our waitress was Annette and she took our drink order soon after we were seated, our food came about 10 minutes after we ordered. She checked on us several times. She was great! I had the Calzone with a side salad and my Wife had the chicken alfredo. The portions were plentiful and very tasty and the prices were very reasonable We will be back!

Enjoyed the salad but the pizza is not great. They should play music and maybe not have both tvs on news. Really kills the vibe.

The place was fully booked, but the hostess saved the day and offered us lounge seating on the sofas. Honestly, it felt a little VIP...like we'd accidentally wandered into the cool kids' corner. I halfway considered putting on my sunglasses indoors just to commit to the moment, maybe even asking if they offered bottle service in the lounge. Within 10 minutes we were settled in and already getting excellent service. And as if the vibe wasn't good enough, there was a one‑man show crooning jazzy tunes in the background. He was smooth, talented, and added just the right soundtrack for an early dinner. Think "speakeasy energy," but suburban‑friendly. Now, the food. My husband ordered the Crunchy Pig sandwich, my sister went for the half rack of ribs, and I claimed the smoked turkey BLT. Everything hit the table about 20 minutes later, hot, fresh, and so lip‑smacking tasty that we inhaled every bite before remembering we meant to take pictures. My apologies to the food‑photo purists; trust me, the plates were camera‑ready before we destroyed them. If you find yourself wandering around The District in Midlothian, do yourself a righteous favor and grab a memorable meal here. Great food, great service, great music, and apparently great sofas.

The vibe is upscale but the prices don't say that. The portions are perfect. The menu looks great, not too many random options. It seems like what they do, they do well. Perfect spot for a date night, lunch and a few drinks. I will most definitely be back.

Hidden gem alert!…read more The Dessert Bar in Midlothian is absolutely worth the hunt, even with the construction mess making it harder to get to right now. Once you find it, though, you'll be glad you did. This spot combines two of my favorite things: decadent desserts + a legit full bar. Whoever came up with this concept deserves a medal. What I had: Raspberry Almond Cake - 5/5. Moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The almond balanced the raspberry perfectly, and the slice was massive. Sharing is optional, but I didn't. ;) Chocolate Chip Cookie - 5/5. Giant, warm, and delicious. It had that perfect chewy-meets-crispy texture, and thankfully wasn't dry (a common downfall for oversized cookies). Old Fashioned - 5/5. Honestly, one of the best I've had anywhere. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and strong. I wasn't expecting cocktail game this good at a dessert spot; pleasantly surprised! They've only been open about three months, and I really hope more people discover them because this concept is so good. A cute, cozy vibe, amazing desserts, and strong cocktails? Yes, please. Do yourself a favor: find this place.
