Romar Place was beautiful and very conveniently located. I never ran into the infamous "Sherry" that had apparently been there for years ruining family vacations. read more

WORST experience staying at a condo... We visit Orange beach at least 10 times a summer and I've never experienced what we did at this place. We had 3 moms and 6 kids ( 3 of which were 2 and under ). Our condo was a 3 bedroom. 1 king, 1 king, 2 fulls and a twin. So definitely accommodates 3 small families. The property manager was the rudest person I've ever encountered while staying at a condo. She was very very aggressive and non professional. One of the moms had to leave and go get a hotel for the duration of our stay because we had 9 ( 1 of the 3 under 2 was 9 months ). She stated that they " had the same rules as an airplane" which that analogy is irrelevant seeing how my 9 month old and the 2 year olds are allowed to sit in laps on a plane. She also would not even allow them to hang out on the beach with us. Told us that they needed to get off her property now and if she caught them out on the beach she would have them removed. This was the biggest inconvenience seeing how we paid for a place on the beach so we didn't have to load up and drive our kids to the public beach. She walked around the entire stay on a power trip basically bullying everyone. I'm all about following the rules but the property manager needs to learn how to be nice and respectful for people that are paying to stay at her place. This place and all owners need to state in their rental agreement, 8 people max, meaning 8 heartbeats. Doesn't matter if they're 2 weeks old, this place will still make them count in that number. We were just 3 nurses who didn't have surgery because of Memorial Day weekend and decided to take our kids down to the beach and this lady ruined our entire trip. So if you plan on staying here with more than 8 people including infants, you won't be allowed too! My husband who was not there was also not very happy seeing how we were 3 women down there with small babies and she basically kicked some of us out. All around worst experience at a condo. Now our condo we stayed in was beautiful and I would have loved to have been a returning quest seeing how we frequent down here very often but I will NEVER return here after this experience. I hate this is affecting the owners of the condo because I have read several reviews dating back years of people that have had the same issue. read more

This was by far the worst experience at a beach condo I have ever had due to the behavior and unprofessionalism of Sherry/the manager. Her communication was very confrontational and unnecessarily aggressive. She constantly walked around harassing other guest. I heard her say to someone that they could not have drinks in the pool, yet she was sitting on the side of the pool with her feet in. Also let me state that the pool rules state NO WHERE that drinks are not allowed in the pool, it states "glass". I spoke with so many other people at the condo and they also stated that she was harassing them constantly about moving chairs. She has a power struggle i believe and Romar place needs to get rid of Sherry, she is going to ruin that place without a doubt. We are coming back next weekend and staying right down the road, still Orange Beach and we told them about our experience and they stated that they get constant complaints about Sherry and her harassment!!! HOA needs to get together and fire Sherry!!!!!! Oh and let me add this too they have gone and deleted reviews because i can see they are no longer on Google reviews! So it's pretty obvious they are trying to hide the bad reviews!! read more

We very much enjoyed our stay at Romar. The unit was very clean, stocked with anything you might need, and the owners left a cute welcome basket! Price was worth what we got. We loved that each bedroom had a full bath. My only complains were our bed was horrible. It was so hard and we froze. Each bed only had a sheet and thin blanket on top. We ended up having to buy a few blankets because we couldn't sleep! Overall great experience and we would return! read more

BEWARE do NOT stay here Front desk is super rude and unhelpful (when you can find them) there is constant construction morning and night and all through the day so sleep is almost impossible along with the beds that constantly squeak and the linens being more like paper than bed sheets. The front desk gave us 3 passes for our cars then left a note on car saying we had too many cars and they were going to tow it when we paid over 3K to stay here. Fridge barely gets cold and toilet seat is broken and dishwasher is full of grime and food debris. There is 3 towels for a condo for 8 people. Not happy at all. Wouldn't recommend. We stayed in 302. If you love getting no sleep and enjoy broken stuff this is the condo for you! read more

This was our first time visiting in the Gulf Shores area and this place did not disappoint. The building sits close to many of the stores and we were able to get to visit Florida in 20mins to visit one of their beaches. The view from our balcony was amazing and we were able to score a corner condo, so our balcony wrapped around the whole corner of our condo-which was pretty spacious for the 7 of us. We rented our condo from a local realty and so our place was pretty well kept. The place has an indoor pool with jacuzzi and sauna plus an outdoor pool. It has its own boardwalk to the beach equipped with showers to clean off sand. You can rent the lounge chairs with umbrellas or bring your own. We weren't restricted on where we could put our chairs and blankets. They have security monitor their parking lot at all times and it's a private parking lot as well. We enjoyed our stay here and will probably come back again. read more

Condo 1106 has a great balcony, but that is the only positive thing I can say about this place. You cannot see the sun rise or sun set from the balcony, just fyi. Rented through Vacasa and Brad Delano the owner relations manager is no help! Condo was discussing, looked like it had not been cleaned at all. It is need of a deep clean, mold around the tub in master bathroom, drawers in master were not cleaned out, baseboards in living room and kitchen have not been cleaned (see pictures, gross). Vinyl on cabinets is pealing off and literally ripping off. Chain lock on the door is broken, the washer leaked water and needed to be replaced but they could not replace it until the day before we left. I was refunded $203.40 for my cleaning fee and I was refunded $302.21 for the inconvenience of not having a washing machine all week. Sandra, a rep from Vacasa was AMAZING! She kept in contact with me after SEVERAL attempts to discuss these issues with Brad. This condo needs a lot of updates and I would not recommend staying here. There are several other places along the beach with balcony's that are far more worth it. read more

We stayed in unit 805. It is a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. The living space was plenty of room for playing and eating. Each bedroom has a flatscreen TV and blue ray player. The condo is right on the beach with an indoor and an outdoor pool. We had a large patio balcony which was perfect for eating or sitting with the family watching the ocean waves. The wi-Fi directions we were given didn't work but we were able to call the customer service number and have it corrected quickly. The furniture was comfortable and the place was clean. We enjoyed our stay and will be returning read more

Our family stays here every year! The condos right on the beach, always clean and ready with nice furnishings and amenities. Great sized pool and grills available. Balconies have a wonderful view. Bring beach chairs of your own or rent some from the beach service. read more

This is a great condo to stay at really depending on how well the owner takes care of it I've stayed in 6 different rooms here and only one or 2 have been less than perfect, a lot of things in this place need updating because it's been here so long tho but it really is a nice place! read more

Tried to make a reservation for condo #806 in Romar Place, Orange Beach, Alabama. The reservation was accepted, I paid in full for the condo and all the EXTRA charges the owners put in there. Received email that all was accepted and confirmed. Then, I guess the owners decided they wanted to use their condo, so I received an email that the condo was no longer available. Owners use a third party for reservations, TurnKey. TurnKey told me they would refund me the money for the condo, but all the other charges incurred would be my responsibility to have reversed. I started out in VRBO, then without my even realizing was on to TurnKey, then who knows who else. WHY is that my responsibility if they handle reservations. I will NEVER use VRBO or TurnKey for any of my travel arrangements. Or for that matter, never try to rent #806 Romar Place again. read more

Our group of 5 ladies stayed in number 401. It's a 3 bedroom and 3 bath. The balcony is spacious and we enjoyed using it. The whole condo could really use an update and deep cleaning. Oven wasn't clean, rugs and carpet are dirty, ice maker doesn't work, some lights are missing, one patio door won't open, coffee pot wouldn't stay warm, one toilet leaks, master bedroom fan is very noisy, patio cushions are worn, door stopper is broken, sliding door threshold is way too tall and will trip you. It's not at all worth the cost of almost $500 per night unless ALL you want is a beach view. Will not stay here again. read more
