had a great experience until the last visit. the retainer was not ready, had to pull my child out of school for the 10th time bc they said it was essential that my child recieved the retainer on this day. but when we arrived, we waited 20 min past the appointment time to be told the retainer was not there, so another day was wasted out of school and work. I should have been called so that school and work was not missed once again. very very disappointed in this final customer service experience especially after all payments were made. will not be using them in the future for other needs based on this final experience unfortunately. now i will need to miss yet another activity to go back and hopefully the device will be ready, but who knows bc i will likely not be contacted until my time is wasted. read more

I wish I found this orthodontics office when my older daughter first got her braces. The service here is incredible and the entire staff is friendly with the most welcoming smiles. My son got his braces put on and a pallet expander. They explained how to crank his expander nightly and they have done a great job with helping teach him how to really clean his braces. He loves coming here they have the kid area he can play in until he's called back (which is never a long wait). The office is small, but very nicely decorated. They answer any and all questions or concerns you may have without hesitation. They accept credit cards, most dental insurances, and even offer payment plans on dental work. I've been going to Dr. Romani since I was in 1st grade (almost 20 years ago!) They have done all my orthodontic care including braces and retainers. Being a young child with braces is very nerve racking but the doctors here made everything easy and painless! I got my braces off at 13 and have been wearing my retainer ever since. I even came back in 2014 to get a bite plate added on and they were still the same pleasant office that I remember. My siblings have gone here as well and had braces, retainers, and palatal expanders. My youngest sister is just starting out and will be getting braces soon. I would definitely recommend Dr. Romani for anyone looking for the best results. We've been commuting 30+ mins to their East Providence office and they are well worth the trip. All the staff are very nice and accommodating. The payments come directly out of my account each month & they took care of all the insurance aspects. I was looking into doing Invisalign for a while since there was a gap between my two front teeth from an old injury suffered 9 years ago. I visited several Orthodontics in Rhode Island to find who would be the best to use. Dr. Romani's office in East Providence was the last place I visited and I was really feeling uncomfortable about the process of using Invisalign after visiting the other offices before hers. When I arrived it was so welcoming with Meg up front and then Vanessa welcoming me and going through the process. During that time Dr. Romani came in and really gave me the time that I needed even though I'm certain there were other patients she had to see. There were concerns I had in using them and she addressed each one. After the consultation I signed up right away to begin the process. Sometimes when you are new and greeted the way I was, there is always that thought as to whether or not that was an act or true actions of the staff. It was like that EVERY time I had to go to the office. Even when I was in the waiting room Vanessa would walk out to get a patient, see me, and always asked how I was doing. A couple of days into Invisalign it was tough adjusting to trays because I was so use to eating when I wanted, drinking, etc., but now I had to adjust my eating habits because you have to keep the trays clean and in good condition to work. I emailed Dr. Romani regarding the stress about drinking certain liquids with the trays in, flossing after every meal and she answered me back that night! After reading the email I felt so much better about the process and I'm proud to say that I just completed the process a couple of weeks ago. This then leads into the next thing. I had a permanent retainer placed behind my two front teeth by choice. The next day after the installment I was having trouble biting because my bottom tooth was hitting the retainer at the top. I was away for the weekend and when I returned I email Dr. Romani and expressed how it felt uncomfortable. At 11 pm at night...yes, 11 pm that night, I got an email back from Dr. Romani and asked me to come in the next day. I came in, they adjusted the retainer, and my teeth feel amazing. The confidence I have now is more than ever. I would hate to smile in pictures because of the gap between my front teeth. Now, I'm smiling larger than ever and family, friends, co-workers all notice the difference and how great my teeth and smile looks now. I'm not the typical patient as I went to Dr. Romani when I was almost 50 years old because I had an issue with my bite. This was my main concern but I was also upset that my teeth had moved considerably since I got my braces off many years ago (parents - make sure your kids wear their retainer!). I was treated with Invisalign and am happy to report that in less than two years I have a great smile, my bite is now perfect, and the jaw pain I had from TMJ is also gone. As an adult, I was very impressed with the business that Dr. Romani has built up and how streamlined their office is when you go in for a visit. While they have the potential to see many patients simultaneously, I only had a long wait for one of my many appointments. The technicians in the office are friendly and explain everything in detail, making sure you have no questions. I want to give a special shout out to Margarita, my favorite. She is beyond nice and so helpful! I hope Dr. Romani knows this! Dr. Romani somehow keeps a cheerful demeanor as she rotates around the exam room. I'm not sure how she does it, but she does. I highly recommend this practice. I know many of my daughter's friends have gone here too and the results are amazing. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for. I know that my money is well spent, considering I will not wear my teeth unevenly now that my bite is fixed, my smile is perfect, and I am no longer having issues with my jaw. read more

I am a little confused by a comment Dr. Romani made upon examining my daughter's teeth. My daughter's braces are scheduled to be removed in about 6 weeks, and Dr. Romani commented that the bite was not perfect but was the best they could do. I admit that my daughter does not do the best job wearing her rubber bands, so I kind of took it to mean that this was my daughter's fault, but now I'm not so sure. If the bite isn't right, shouldn't the braces stay on until it is? read more

Dr. Romani is all about the "perfect smile" but she does not seem to care about any financial concerns or patient concerns in general. Her consultation was deceiving and she purposefully left out important information in order to acquire a new patient. When I asked her a question that she didn't like (during an appointment) she was condescending and her response was very rehearsed! The assistant I had was also unhelpful when I asked her a question and she had to go ask a different assistant for help., very unprofessional. Do not recommend at all, find an office that will actually do what they say and do what you would like done. read more

Dr Roman knows her stuff. She, and her assistants are always very courteous and able. It is a 'big business' approach to healthcare, but that is based on quality, leadership and business skills. That said, we had a few extra LONG waits (today's wait was 50 minutes to be seen) for scheduled appointments.. which is very frustrating when we make the effort to be on time, juggling kids' schedules. Dr. Romani, and the team apologized. Sadly, we were asked to come back for another visit because all the work couldn't be performed for this scheduled visit.
