My son got his braces put on and a pallet expander. They explained how to crank his expander nightly and they have done a great job with helping teach him how to really clean his braces. He loves coming here they have the kid area he can play in until he's called back (which is never a long wait). The office is small, but very nicely decorated. They answer any and all questions or concerns you may have without hesitation. They accept credit cards, most dental insurances, and even offer payment plans on dental work. I would definitely recommend coming here for any adult or child dental work you need done :)

I should have been called so that school and work was not missed once again. very very disappointed in this final customer service experience especially after all payments were made. will not be using them in the future for other needs based on this final experience unfortunately. now i will need to miss yet another activity to go back and hopefully the device will be ready, but who knows bc i will likely not be contacted until my time is wasted.

My 9yr old had top braces put on for the first time. From my first appt to now, this ortho office…read morehas been amazing. There's parking, it's clean and they call you in fairly quickly. The staff are efficient, professional, and communicate so well on process/aftercare. I was nervous my son who has ADHD would get overstimulated and wouldn't do well but he did amazing as the staff communicated to him what to expect before they did something (helped him to understand and not be nervous). They worked SO quickly too. I would say from start to end of the braces being put on took 15-20mins. They also have branded T-shirts that if your child wears it each visit can be entered into an Amazon gift card raffle. For aftercare: everything was provided including toothbrush, floss, mouthwash, a water bottle. They are great with communication such as forms explaining everything in great detail. They do have multiple locations but I am writing for the Mineral Spring one.

I called a few places, and was told over and over that no one repairs retainers that they haven't placed. When I got to Barone, I was so frustrated and asked "do you have any idea what I can do or who I can call?" I'm pretty sure my orthodontist has long since retired and is over 400 miles away. The receptionist checked and then said "we can get you in for a consultation. We had a cancellation tomorrow morning. Come in and we'll see what we can do." I have extreme dental anxiety, and relayed that to literally everyone I came into contact with there. I cannot emphasize how kind everyone was and how reassuring they were. The staff did an assessment, took pictures and X-rays, and the orthodontist told me "don't worry, we won't let you leave like this". They ended up removing the retainer painlessly, checking in regularly to make sure I was okay. And I left with a copy of my X-rays and a recommendation for a dentist who would they felt would be great for me to work with. As I left, I called my friend and told her that we needed to recommend Barone Orthodontics to anyone we knew that needed orthodontic care. The kindness, support, and obvious care for their clients was evident in everything they did. Highly recommend!!!!

The cons: Poor quality materials used. Some staff is not experienced. Lack of regular treatment planning from dentist. Inadequate parking. I'll elaborate. My older son went to Dr Izzi for orthodontic treatment. His braces were on for 2 years. He wasn't a simple case as he required an exposure due to impacted tooth. It was addressed at the beginning of treatment. He was seen every 4 weeks for adjustment and assessment from Dr Izzi. It was a very small office with little staff but great outcome. My youngest son was a trickier case as he had many baby teeth that hadn't fallen out yet. He also had 2 adult teeth that required exposures. With that said I expected treatment to be longer. Unfortunately appointments were often spaced out 8-10 weeks due to availability. Towards end of treatment I requested every 6 weeks min and they did accomodate. He was rarely seen by dentist until I requested he be seen every time (and he still wasn't). Often he would have a wire or bracket brace or pop off or break. There were times we left and next day something broke. It was extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable for him to try to get him back in for repairs and I had to take a lot of time off from work and he missed school (often only appts available where middle of day). Staff did always try to get him in quickly though. The office closes also early in the summer which made it a hardship. When he needed the exposure I was going to make an appointment with an oral surgeon but told it could be done in office with a laser. On day of appointment, we arrived, he was seen by Dr and I was told it wasn't possible due to how deep the teeth were. I ended up seeing the oral surgeon anyway but this delayed treatment and wasted time. He finally got his braces off and still had small malocclusion but it was fine because it had become exhausting. His retainer was available for pickup but they were closed next week for vacation so they said if it didn't fit to follow up. He didn't tell me for 2 weeks but the top was painful on one side. It seemed too small over one tooth. He was seen and given a tool to help sensitivity/painand told to continue to wear/follow up 3 weeks. After a week of continued pain he visited his regular dentist who agreed the fit was off in one area and temporarily modified it to relieve discomfort. I was given a referral to Barone orthodontics for a new one. I canceled follow up and Barone made him a new, well fitting, better quality retainer. Overall Dr Cosmos is a nice guy but not the best orthodontists or experience. It's a fancy office and has a ton of staff. In my opinion it's just a braces factory. I prefer basic office with attentive Dr and better faster outcomes. I would recommend Izzi or Barone in North Providence.

Dr. Cosmo insinuated that I did not complete my past orthodontic work and that I was lying. He refused to give me night time retainers because "why would I want to retain this!"(meaning my not perfect teeth). He would only give me night time retainers if I "proved" to him that I finished my past orthodontic treatment. As a 41 year old professional, I was appalled, incredibly embarrassed, and insulted. His lack of professionalism made me very upset. I would never recommend him to anyone.
