In my humble opinion, Ed Roman's is a breed apart in the field of musical instrument stores.

Spoke to Matt about it, who was kind, patient and professional, and we had to agree that my $100 amp was going to cost about the same to repair it...if able. Ergo, another fine looking physically mint condition piece of equipment has to be replaced and recycled. Sad that it's more logical to replace with a new warranty amp than attempt repair on this one... Thanks Matt for your valuable time, patience and knowledge!

For those who have an instrument or two suffering as a result due to Vegas weather I have found a place of repair for you that is quick, affordable and does excellent work. I have played for over 60 years, have a lot of acoustic instruments and a few of them have suffered due to the Vegas weather. I found one luthier who was quite affordable ... but his bandage style repair work left a lot to be desired. I found another luthier with an astounding reputation ... but was available by appointment only and charged nearly what an instrument cost to do the repairs. Like Goldilocks and the Three Bears, I landed one that was just right on my third try. Vegas Guitars, located at 3975 W Quail Ave #4, Las Vegas, NV 89118 (702) 884-7490. Adam Pero is your go to guy for acoustic instrument repair. Anything from a fret buzz to a face split. His prices are reasonable; his work is quick and accurate. I've taken three instruments to him so far and been very happy with the results of al three. While waiting in the lobby for Adam to put some finishing touches on one of my instruments, I was able to observe Neil Smith working on an electric 6-string bass. He was testing the neck from top to bottom playing soft and loud. Then he turned his attention to the pick-ups. There was no question in my mind that he knew exactly what he was doing. I have a Tylor T5z. So far it has no issues, but I know where I will take it for repairs, should that ever become necessary.

They showed me the artistry behind the mastery of musical instruments. Inside the golden house of the Mandalay Bay. The Phoenix band proved to be Vegas born knights. Across from the House of Blues, they proved to be residents of a place where good karma lives. Up on their home stage of rock and roll is when I heard the true calling of the Phoenix. In between the words of their lyrics. Over the sound of their magical instruments. It was three words. In their house of rock, I did not have to pledge a God Bless America. For $400 he glued the neck where it was starting to split and dressed the frets. I got the bass back and the action wasn't set tight. The strings were too high. I turned the truss rod, and the neck split apart. I took it back to him, and I asked him to remove the neck. Then I found a neck for it and asked him to glue it on for me. He refused and closed his business. I'm out $400, and I have to find someone else to do his work for him. What a waste of time and money working with this guy. He lied to me every chance he could, just like all the rest of the music business people in Southern Nevada.

FIRST!! :D So what makes this place different than the big shots like Sam Ash and Guitar Center?…read more For starters, City of Las Vegas Music probably has the biggest collection of electronic keyboards I've seen so far in Las Vegas. I'm not a keyboard player but as soon as you walk inside you'll see they have a wide selection of big name keyboards such as Kawai, Roland & much more. I've heard of these brands before but most of the time they're only accessible online or outside of Vegas. I'd say most of the selections are for seasoned players although they do have some selections that are great for beginners and experienced players alike. Aside from keyboards, they have a few selections of saxophones, violins and electronic drum sets. You won't find guitars (not yet anyway) here so they certainly feel more of a niche musical store but a good one at that. If you play any of the above instruments I mentioned you can probably get a good deal because they are an authorized dealer, meaning they have some flexibility in regards to retailing and pricing. The owner and manager Victor are friendly and cool people :) They were kind enough to let me take some photos of the interior. It's still fairly new but more inventory is on the way. If you're a musician I recommend you visit or bookmark this place for a future visit. Definitely always a plus to see a local music shop open to compete against the big corporate stores.
