Place is very busy early in the morning
Steven C.

This place is busy from early in the morning until closing. And for good reason. Excellent food. In addition to all kinds of sausage and meats and cheeses, they boast what they call a tomato pie which appears to be very popular although I haven't tried it. It looks like a pizza without cheese. The prices are reasonable. Everything is cash and carry and they have a very loyal following.

Tomato Pie

So I have never heard of a tomato pie. Have eaten at several places here to include pizza, seafood and burgers. Stopped in for lunch and it was amazing. Thought the triple meat sub was excellent and the tomato pizza was unique and fulfilling. I would recommend Roma's if you are in the area. Thanks Roma's.

Slice of tomato pie and 6" Italian sub

if you want a slice, go straight to the register, that's where you get them not at the deli counter. They aren't warm and toasty, they are wrapped in plastic wrap and I'm assuming to be taken home and toasted, because honestly, the way it comes I don't get the hype. It's just a doughy, thick piece of wet crust with sauce and Parmesan. The sauce is good, but again, if this is how everyone eats it (cold), forget about it. The 6" Italian (have to order at the counter or call in) was ok. It was mostly ham and the sub roll was eh, ok. Didn't have a super fresh baked flavor to it. The prices are great and the service is straight forward. I wouldn't say super friendly, but definitely not rude. They get the job done as quickly as possible.

Tried my first tomato pie here and was pleasantly surprised! Very sweet and tasty much better than your average pizza sauce. We also bought some tortellini and sauce which made for some good dinners on our trip. Lots of other Italian snacks, specialty pasta, and meats.

Amazing meats, fresh and delicious. Good old fashioned service. Old fashioned Italian meat market atmosphere, no doubt.

Our tasting night…read morewas a dream I wish I could go back to: she makes a tasting for you of everything she'll serve at the wedding in her beautiful Bovina restaurant in a Victorian home during a candle lit evening with wine and great conversation (I've included photos). Then, on our wedding day, she showed up early, set up everyting beautifully, served the most delicious catered food we've ever had, helped with our cake and dessert, had welcome non-alcoholic hibiscus drinks from beautiful pitchers, and she even packaged everything and stored it in the fridge for us before she left. Absolutely insane amounts of care and effort. I am DREAMING of having her home-made gnocchi and the filet mignon. My husband is obsessed with the blueberry chicken! The catering appetizers are incredible. And we had the best day-after brunch with our friends thanks to the tupperwares she preppes for us from left overs. Also incredibly tasty vegan options too! She is the best and I cannot recommend her enough.

We asked Deanna to cater our 115 person, mountain top wedding with as much fire-prepared food as possible. Think Francis Mallmann (google him if you arent familiar). No running water. No electricity. She was game. She was more than game. She came ready to rumble and was cooking on the fire pit from morning until late night. Deanna is warm, talented, energetic, charming, and generous. She made amazing, locally sourced, fresh food our guests are still raving about. She has real relationships with farmers and producers in the area - her local connections are priceless. Her whole team never broke their professionalism and wowed us with their service and hospitality. She helped our moms serve apple pies instead of wedding cake. She sprinkled flowers all over the buffet tables. She shared with us all her beautiful old plates. She surprised us with a late night round of sloppy joes. She let us borrow all the props and baskets and water jugs for our whole wedding weekend, even for events that she wasn't specifically there for. I could go on and on. Book with Deanna, she is a true unicorn of the catering world.

To start, I had multiple conversations with Laura to relay the varying dietary restrictions of our group of 13 ladies. She was up for the challenge and provided me options for a menu that would accommodate every single person (gluten free, pescetarian, low fod map). It is so rare to have a meal for that many people that pleases everyone, and yet she accomplished it. Laura's husband dropped off the meal right on time, with instructions on how to heat up the entrees which was quite easy. We enjoyed a few appetizers (multiple people said it was "the best eggplant dip they had ever had"), then sat down for a beautiful meal with an amazingly fresh salad and delicious entrees. Laura provided all of the plates and cutlery, which made cleaning up a breeze. Thank you so much for providing one of the highlights of our weekend! I am already recommending your business to other groups who I know are going to the Finger Lakes for upcoming trips!

Pros: We chose Natasha for a small family party to celebrate our wedding this spring. We went with…read moreher mainly because she was the first/only chef to begin our conversation by asking us what WE had in mind and letting that be the foundation for building the menu. She seemed eager to help us realize our vision rather than impose someone else's onto us. There are also four other people on the IBN team: the sous chef, whose name I forget; the bartender, for whom the same is true (maybe Aaron or Erin), and two servers: Mason and Spencer. These folks did an AMAZING job and we were both so grateful for their kindness and professionalism on the day of the event. Finally, I liked what I ate! I was happy with my day-of meal. Cons: Natasha was incredibly rude to both me and my husband in the weeks leading up to the post-wedding party. I had only spoken to her twice before the party: once when I hired her and again in February. She'd said in February that we could have a third and final call two weeks before the event. When I emailed her three weeks before the event to schedule this final call, she sounded irritated and said we'd spoken "a few days ago" (we had not; I even asked some relatives in case someone else had, but no) and she wanted to "stick to the plan" of having a call at a date a time to which we had not agreed--- only *five* days before the party. My husband reminded her that she'd said we could talk two weeks before and she eventually, reluctantly scheduled a call with us. When we call at the date and time she told us to, she does not pick up; instead, she texts us that she's in the middle of an event. All of these things are perfectly normal, human mistakes. We all get clients confused and talk to one as though they are another (like the "a few days ago" thing). We all overbook ourselves every once in a while and are unavailable after telling someone we would be. A professional would have simply apologized; instead, after I used *one sentence* of an email to express my disappointment about the missed call--- because my husband had taken off work to be available for it, so lost money for no reason--she used this as an excuse to threaten not to show up. Said she needed us to "confirm" in light of my "tone." In light of this, I decided not to speak to this person anymore unless absolutely necessary (i.e. at the party, for the sake of our guests). My husband took over talking to her, at which point we had a fun little role-reversal in which he was now the one reporting to me on a regular basis how rude Natasha was being to him. So at least I know it wasn't personal! Conclusion: If you just need to place a big food order and don't need to talk to the chef again after that, you can go with IBN and you'll probably be fine. If, however, you are planning an event of great importance to you--or just don't want to risk being treated like a burden for wanting to speak more than once with someone you're employing-- maybe look elsewhere.
