We drove from Texas for the main to main sale. We had dinner here Thursday night. The bread was great. The veal Marsala was awful, and cold in spots. The beef lasagna was very good, but they served it to me in a broken chipped burned bowl that should have honestly been thrown away. My husband and I ended up splitting the lasagna because his Marsala was awful. Our waitress never came back to fill our drinks until we were ready to walk out the door, so we couldn't have complained if we wanted to. We were standing up at our table, in hopes she would bring us our ticket because she hadn't been back the entire meal. The cake we got Togo looked and tasted like it was frozen or store bought. Definitely won't be back, but hope they will consider throwing out those awful bowls, as germs and bacteria like to hide in chipped and broken dishes. Was hoping for better honestly.I do not like leaving bad reviews but felt this one was warranted especially since it wasn't very busy this night.

For two people we got 6 pieces of bread.

First thing is the lemon cello was damn good. The food is very good. Service was good. Very nice atmosphere and the place is super clean. The table had a wobble but overall, when I am in the area I would eat here again. The lobster ravioli is better than when I had it in New York Italian district.

He got the lasagna and it was delicious his words were "damn babe this is GOOD" i got the shrimp pasta with pink sauce not sure the name of it but it was good! The ambiance was very calm and peaceful it was awesome to know that it used to be a bank! very nice place i loved it. we will for sure be going back before we leave louisiana!

Roma Italian Bistro is a hidden gem in this small town. I enjoyed eating lunch with my family at this restaurant. It's cozy and I love the lighting. They have great customer service and the food is delicious. If you're ever in Minden, I recommend you give them a try, and if you live in the area, you should've already eaten here.... The picture that I took of the pasta is poor quality but the meal was good.

Tony's special. The cherry peppers were the perfect flavor!

It was good but not necessarily worth the drive from Benton! Sauces were good, portions generous-just a B to me though rather than an A!

If you give it a few minutes you'll start to think you're in a place in Little Italy waiting for one of the Sopranos to walk in. Nice. Very gracious host and very quick service for lunch. Our server was really efficient and sweet. She even helped identify the photo on the wall (one of many showing famous people eating spaghetti) of Marcello Mastroianni, a famous actor from the 60's. Wife thought he was James Dean. The pasta is obviously homemade and perfectly al dente. Meatballs are large and luscious with just the right amount of garlic and spice. I was surprised at the color of the gravy but it was fantastic, just enough sweet garlic and tomato flavor to linger in the mouth. We had the in-house garlic bread. The bread is infused with real garlic and is tender and just enough chew to be satisfying. The crust is crunchy and has a mild smoky flavor. My only complaint for the whole experience was the warm baked bread came with a pat of FROZEN butter. A little jarring but the bread was warm enough to melt it a little, eventually. We got to-go boxes and took home as much as we ate. Get extra bread to go, it's that good (bring your own warm butter). We're on a tour of Shreveport lunch spots and this one is now on the official permanent rotation! Thank you!

It was good bread but you better like fresh garlic, which I do! The pasta was fresh the flavors were great and there was enough there for a take home for later. It's order at the counter type place and kind of a hidden gem. It's a nice change of pace. Recommend trying it!

This review spans 2 visits. I never got around to posting my review for the first visit (4/03/25)…read moreso I'm going to clump them together. (2/12/26) Both visits were pretty much identical. Both in the lounge. Both tucked away against a wall to accommodate the service dog with us. Both visits included the Good Times menu and four beers. So despite the time span- prices were still the same. $103 both times. Extremely affordable for what you get. Minor differences separate the two visits. Our first visit we both ordered the filet mignon. Incredibly tender and so delicious! On the second visit he ordered the filet again and complained that it was a little gristly. The desserts were larger on our first visit and only a bite or two on the second. We tried both the cheesecake and bread pudding the first time. The bread pudding was so much better. The second visit was also my birthday so there was additional dessert. Some kind of light fluffy angel food cake with strawberries. It was Devine! On the house because the staff absolutely rocks! The lighting in the bar area is very red and terrible for Yelp photos but we improvised and adapted.

So first time here and as soon I walked in the door , was greeted with friendly hello …read more I ordered the fried raviolis for appetizer and they are amazing . I also got chicken parmigiana over mixed veggies (swapped veggies instead of spaghetti) and it came with the fresh warm rolls (amazing too) . Then got a slice of tiramisu for dessert. All of this was sooo good that I will be back tomorrow to try either the pizza or calzone. The place looks great for family dinners as well as a nice romantic dinner w/ a loved one. I recommend this place to anyone passing by and or living here. I actually mentioned my dinner to couple in the hotel I'm at and they walked right out the hotel to head here for dinner .

This was our first time eating here, and I promise it will be our last. If I could give zero stars…read morefor the food, I would. Our waitress was great, but unfortunately, the food and the way our situation was handled were extremely disappointing. The Milano's Favorite chicken was bland. The chicken was VERY SMALL, PAPER thin, dry/mealy, with hard edges. The dish has jalapeños in it, but it had absolutely no spice. We had to add crushed red pepper flakes and salt just to make it somewhat edible. Even then, I have no idea how it can be called "favorite." Alfredo dipping sauce was bland and clumpy. The mozzarella sticks were just crap. 3 guests ordered the ribeye. ALL Ribeyes were fatty/gristly. One of the guests who ordered the "16 oz" ribeye emphasized to the waitress that it needed to be cooked rare. The first steak was nowhere near 16 ounces, was maybe 1/4 inch thick, very fatty/gristly and came out medium. Honestly, it looked like something you'd get at Waffle House. Frankly, the Waffle House steak would've been better and A LOT cheaper! We requested another steak, AGAIN asking that it be cooked rare. The owner personally brought it to the table, but unfortunately, it was just as disappointing. It didn't even look like a ribeye, was still maybe 1/4 inch thick, was even smaller than the first one & certainly didn't appear to be 16 ounces (MAYBE 10oz), was even more fatty/gristly, had no deep grill/char marks, and was gray in color--like it was boiled. Once again, it was cooked medium instead of rare. The guest took one bite of the remade steak after cutting away all the fat/gristle and literally packed the steak up to take home for the dog. We asked to have the $30 steak removed from the bill, but the owner refused, claiming it had been eaten. The guest then unpacked the steak and showed the waitress that only one bite had been taken. Even after the owner seeing this, the owner STILL refused to remove the charge. Absolutely poor customer service! I have never been to a restaurant where, when something was prepared incorrectly or a customer was clearly dissatisfied, the staff--let alone the owner--wouldn't at least attempt to make things right. This was especially frustrating after two disappointing steaks were prepared incorrectly and left virtually uneaten. Mistakes happen, and not every meal will be perfect. However, how a restaurant handles a problem says a lot about its customer service. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing, and the owner's refusal to address the situation made it even worse. Word of mouth goes a LONG way, and our group has already shared this experience with others and advised them against visiting or recommending this establishment. Based on our experience, we certainly won't be returning. BTW, look on their website reviews, you'll see complaints of the poorly made 16oz ribeye, roaches in food & in restaurant & rude owner--I didn't see these reviews until after our awful experience here.

Down Home Sausage is THE BEST SAUSAGE YOU WILL EVER EAT IN YOUR LIFE!! You think you know sausage. You've been eating it your whole life. You know what you like. Habits have formed. Tastes have been made. You like this. You don't like that. Your culinary knowledge. Your lifetime of experience. You think you're running at 100. And you might be. I'll give you that. You're at 100. Let's start there. If you love sausage. If you think you know sausage. If sausage is your thing. Then get ready. That resume you've spent your entire life building up? That know-how, know-of, been-there-and-already-did-it...TWICE!!! Take all that. Pitch it. Burn it. Shred it. Forget about it, because it NEVER HAPPENED!! You are now at ZERO!! You're back to being a baby. A newborn. And the sausage that you thought you knew, before this, the sausage that you thought you loved, well, it no longer exists!! It's a new day. The light is so very bright. And the sausage is so very tasty. This meat here is ALL HOG, and NO FILLER!! It is made by hand, stuffed by hand, looped by hand, and delivered to the smokehouse by hand!! There are only four primary ingredients in the sausage here, other than the incredible blend of that secret family recipe of incredi-mazing spices, and those ingredients are pork loin, pork ham, pork shoulder, and rib trimmings. The casing is all natural as well. These sausages are made right here in Stonewall, Louisiana!! The Original flavor is my absolute favorite, but they also offer Jalapeño, Green Onion, and Hot. These other flavors are hard to come by! If you see some online or in stores, you snatch 'em up like you're getting away with something!! And they do offer a top notch online ordering system at lacrawfish.com search Down Home Meats or Down Home Sausage. You can also order LIVE CRAWFISH there. That's right, LIVE!! Coming to you still snapping away!! And they ship Meat Pies!! What's a Meat Pie?? We call them Nachitoches (Knack-ah-dish!) Meat Pies!! You don't know? You'd better ask somebody, and order some of those too!! But definitely, whatever you do, order some of this Down Home Sausage! Better yet, order a TON!! This sausage is delicious by itself, in beans (YESSIRRR!!), Black Eyed Peas, and also for all breakfast meals, aaaaaand most DEFINITELY, DEFINITIVELY, MOST CERTAINLY goes with ANY AND ALL of your BBQ needs!! If there is just one drawback to Down Home Sausage, it is this: All other sausage in this world will no longer be palatable, nor edible to you, ever again. Ever. You will only accept Down Home Sausage on your plate or fork from this day and every day thereafter.
