I ended up grinding down and twisting a few metal pieces essential to continuing my fun- so I found the nearest hardware store and ended up here. To my surprise, they were extremely well-stocked (a far cry from the hardware stores near where I live!) and extremely helpful, pointing me to the right aisle for each item in the list I'd brought.
