Good Ol'Fashioned Party created a stunning wedding reception for a gorgeous June backyard wedding. The decor was crafted to be meaningful for the families and their guests. But more importantly, they understood the couple and who they were was reflected throughout the event. They even used the front yard space and driveway to make a beautiful sit down area with low benches and pillows with lace wrapping around the yard to make for an intimate and private event. The way they transformed the space was magical and I'll never forget this wedding. One bartender did not show due to an unforeseen issue, and the two who did arrive failed to set up either bar before guests arrived. Although scheduled for 5:15 PM, they did not begin gathering alcohol until 6:30 PM, with the event starting at 6:45 PM. Nothing was prepared for cocktails, no lemons, limes, strawberries, or fresh mint. No beer or white wine was placed on ice, despite me purchasing the ice and coolers specifically for that purpose. When I arrived at 6:50 PM, the beer and white wine were still warm in boxes. Despite the company claiming staff arrived on time, the venue staff and event witnesses observed otherwise. The experience was so disorganized that this company is no longer allowed to work at this venue.

I deal with a lot of vendors and I knew my same-day request (on a Saturday no less) would probably be met with cranky "not possible in the timeline" responses. Instead, I met Jolene on the other end of the phone. What a warm and positive person! She immediately took on my problems with grace and alacrity. She not only solved the heaters and blanket asks but also added so many details that I would never have thought of. Baskets to hold the blankets. Blankets tied with twine. Additional black napkins in case someone was wearing a dark outfit. Found local wines and beers. Just extremely thoughtful in everything she did. My event was not big or expensive. I'm from out of town so I'm probably not a repeat client (wish I could be!). And I had a very last minute weekend request. And Jolene pulled through 110%. I would trust her to plan just about anything. You'll be in the best hands.
