After a doctor appt stopped by Stanley's for a bite. My husband wanted to go to the local brewery so I grabbed some grub to take with me. I ordered the brisket sandwich and fried okra. That okra was Dee-lish! Perfectly battered and fried. Their brisket was also perfect! Nice smoke ring, tender, moist and good amount of meat to bun ratio. I really liked both the mild and spicy BBQ sauce. Coming from the south, I have had my fair share of good BBQ and this is right up there with the best of them!
Rolling Loud ! I mean Rolling Smoke came with that gas lol. The brisket Sammy hit the spot. In my opinion this is some of the best BBQ in the city. Quick and efficient service mix the Carolina gold with the spicy BBQ sauce... you'll thank me later
Didn't know this was here at Stanley Market. Good barbecue brisket. I tried both the sandwich and the plate. I took the plate to go so I could have lunch the next day and it was still good even after microwaving. The cornbread was a little thicker and sweet with the honey sauce. The cheese macaroni was a little dry. The service was as expected. He took my order and subsequently prepared my order in an efficient manner. Prices were ok. It wasn't the best bbq I've ever tasted but good enough, especially if you're craving bbq.
Make sure the order is correct before you give it to the customer. Placed an order on the site. I ordered a 3 meat plate with rib tips, brisket and burnt ends with macaroni and greens. I also ordered a brisket sandwich and 3 rib plate with fries and 2 additional ribs. The macaroni was a little dry. I got all the way home to find out my burnt ends were missing.
That's some good BBQ! This location is right inside Stanley Market Place. There is a large parking lot but it can get crowded fast so when you see a spot, just take it. I'd never eaten here before so I was excited to try it. I got the 1 meat plate and it comes with two sides of my choice. I got the brisket, mac and cheese, and fries. The brisket was so good! I really love brisket so it's safe to say I found a good spot! The mac and cheese was a little dry. I did go close to closing so it might have been what they had left. The fries were crispy! Seasoned well! Overall I think I would go back. Defiently want to try the mac and cheese again :)
We went here at around 6:15-6:20pm on a Saturday night which looked like they close around 7 based on the internet. It's inside the Stanley Market and it was pretty busy - parking lot was pretty full. We got in line and there was about 2 parties in front of us. When we got to order - I asked for ribs. They were all out which was a bummer because that was the whole reason I wanted BBQ. She also then let us know they were out of burnt ends & baked beans. Lesson learned is if we want to have whatever - come early! Seemed as though even with 40 minutes left - they were popular enough to sell through. I ended up getting one of the daily specials which was 2 pulled pork sliders that came with one side. I got the smoked Mac & cheese. They had a little station to help yourself to different sauces with to-go containers too. The Pork was tender and cooked well. I Got the mild bbq sauce (yummy!) and the golden one - mustardy sauce. Both were good! I had one of each on my two sliders. The smoked Mac & cheese was good. The flavor was muted which I'm glad because I was nervous that it wouldn't taste like Mac and cheese. We'll be back .. and early enough for those ribs!
First time coming here and the staff was nice helping us decide what to order. We ended up getting a 2 meat plate that comes with 2 sides. What we got: Burnt Ends (4/5): definitely the best thing on the plate Ribs (2/5): kind of cold and dry. Would recommend just getting the burnt ends Smoked Mac n Cheese (4/5): nothing super special but good Jalapeño Cornbread (3/5): a bit too dry but the jalapeño flavor was nice Overall, I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating here when you have so many other options at Stanley Marketplace, but if you do definitely get the burnt ends!
I visited Stanley Marketplace last week and I needed to be rolled out of there thanks to Rolling Smoke BBQ. I've walked by so many times, more than I can to admit, and I figured I spend my lunch money at this local BBQ place. Worth noting before I dive into the food; the main staffer was very friendly. Working in a food stall inside a large food hall, means there are boatloads of people walking up to the counter, looking at the menu, then walking away. It's probably draining on the employee's end to remain upbeat and positive when many people don't actually buy your food. She was pleasant from the very start and she deserves a shout out! FOOD. Just get the 3 meat plate. It's the move and all the cool kids are doing it. It comes with 2 sides, too. You won't be able to put it all down, but you'll get to try 5 different items. Plus, they make their sauces too, which were both excellent. MEATS. The standouts were the Ribs and Sausage hands down. I love a good rib and it had been awhile since I had one. These were amazing, I could've ordered a plate full of ribs! Sausage is always a sleeper pick at many BBQ places. Rolling Smoke does theirs the right way. SIDES. Mac and Cheese and Collard Greens. Mac had a good flavor, but was bordering the dry side and it makes you wonder how long it had been sitting. Collards are one of my favorites and these were strong. SAUCES. Mustard and Spicy BBQ. Both were great! IMO good BBQ doesn't require sauce. However these were a very nice accompaniment. The major disappointment was the Brisket. Being the king of all the BBQ meats I expected a lot more. I'd assume it was just an off day. No one likes a dry slice of brisket. Hopefully next time it's juicy and tender! Long time listener, first time caller. All in all, very pleased with Rolling Smoke!
Walked around the entire center and was hoping this place would be decent... ordered a 3 meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, burnt ends and a side of mac and cheese and beans The meat was pretty decent for the price of roughly $23... not large portions by any means, but the quality was fair. The sauce definitely helped, and the 4% cash discount was nice of them to offer... the sides weren't terrible, just tasted a little basic if that makes sense? For a quick BBQ fix, I'd still say this place is okay for the price and what you get and worth a try
It's the mac & cheese for me! This place is such a good spot to get barbecue in Stanley marketplace. I always find myself coming here because it is so convenient. They do have some spots to sit down or you can get your food for take away. The meat and sides are just so flavorful, and it definitely feels like you were in the south. You literally cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I think that they have a pretty standard variety as far as food goes. The service is pretty fast and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Looking for some time to kill so we thought we'd stop by Stanley Market to walk around. Hubs loves bbq so we thought we get a plate to share. Ordered the 3 meat special that comes with two sides. Hot links: 3/5 - nothing special. they were okay Burnt ends: 4/5 - surprisingly good. i don't understand why people order these cuz they always seem dry to me but they were pretty tender Pork rib: 5/5 - this was tender! some places can't even do a decent rib! Mac and cheese side: hubs 4/5 cuz he doesn't like it cheesy and this was like a cajun kick to it. slightly spicy and peppery. me 3/5. i like my mac and cheese cheeeeesssyyy. Not a great spot for bbq and for $18 for 3 meats it can't be beat!

The absolute worse bbq I have ever had. I asked for fatty brisket and got some dry brisket with a layer of fat. The mac tasted like it got left in smoke for hours dry and no flavor. The only thing edible was the potato salad. Will never order from here again. read more

If I'd realized this place was in Stanley Marketplace I wouldn't have come. It's exactly the mediocre lukewarm food you'd expect from a stall in a marketplace.' There was no line when we went so I guess that was nice. I got the 2 meat plate with turkey, brisket burnt ends, potato salad, and fried okra. The only thing that was temperature appropriate and I'd recommend from my plate was the okra. Second thing that wasn't bad was the turkey. It was flavorful and moist, but being room temperature made it kinda gross by itself. The burnt ends were dry and barely tasted like brisket. Same goes for the brisket sandwich. The potato salad was alright. read more
A l ot of food for the cost so be prepared for take out. Located in the Stanley Marketplace, its my go to when I come here Macaroni is bomb and the employees are always so lovely! Rib tips and macaroni are $14.00. You can't beat that.m read more
Made the trip to Stanley Marketplace worth it. The meat was so tender and fresh, they gave generous portions which is tricky, I think a lot of the "hip" places are very minimalist in presentation and portions. The sides were on par with the main course, the collard greens were savory and delicious, the mac and cheese was out of this world. Seriously. The only suggestion I have, and to the owners and founders I hope you are reading this, y'all need better pickles! I know you can do better in the pickle game! Regardless, the food was incredible. It was easily our only meal of the day and we are still full. read more

One of the better bbq joints in the denver aurora area. The burnt ends are seasoned well and pulled pork is always moist. The mustard bbq sauce is my favorite sauce they offer. Their mac and cheese is pretty good though nothing special. Their fried okra is amazing, can't go wrong with that. read more

After hearing rave reviews from friends, I decided to give Rolling Smoke a try for dinner. I ordered a meat plate with the burnt ends and picked the mac and cheese and jalapeño cornbread for my sides (cornbread was a daily special). The burnt ends were just as described on the menu- melt in your mouth and delicious. I tried it with the spicy bbq and mustard style sauces, both of which were great. Though the mac and cheese was good but not great and the corn bread was a bit dry, I would return to Rolling Smoke without hesitation just for the bbq. read more

Fresh ingredients cooked well and solid choices - just nothing that knocked my socks off. I've had better BBQ but I've had much, MUCH worse. Keep in mind, though, that I didn't grow up in the south and my grandmother never greened a collard in her life. read more
After walking around Stanley Marketplace, my bf and I saw Rolling Smoke BBQ's stall and decided to see what Denver's BBQ is about. We ordered the 3-meat plate (beef brisket, ribs, and burnt ends) with 2 sides (cole slaw and mac&cheese) for $16. What a steal! Cole slaw was refreshing and acted as a palate cleanser for the heaviness of the rest of the meal. Mac & Cheese was deliciously cheesy with a lot of pepper, which doesn't really bother me. I only tried the brisket because I don't eat pork. The smokey flavor is not as strong as some other places I've had. Overall, I thought it was a quality and quantity meal at a very affordable price. read more

Super unimpressed! I don't get people who like this sad excuse for BBQ. While they have a super captive audience to appeal to, I still don't get the overcooked, badly seasoned slop they are passing off as BBQ. I guess you throw enough BBQ sauce on food and it tastes good...? Their food is not even close to passing if you are a true fan of BBQ. Sad since they have some pretty top notch smokers. But proves that this craft can't be bought. From the happy customers and lines of people happily eating terrible BBQ this review maybe ignored or forgotten, but trust me if you're looking for real BBQ this ain't it! For those looking for something easy and familiar in the marketplace I can see how this place satisfies, much like fast food in an airport, but that's about as far as it goes. read more
Pretty on point for an establishment at the Stanley Market place. It was a no brainer for me when I chose to eat here amongst all the varying options around the market. I walked past a lot of people whose meat options and sides looked soo amazing and it sure definitely did not disappoint. read more
Wow-- very impressed with the quality of their BBQ! I got the burnt ends plate with smoked Mac and cheese and beans as my sides. The Mac and cheese has an amazing flavor and is oh so creamy. The beans were a bit underwhelming and kinda tasted like what you could get out of a can of Bush's to be honest. The burnt ends were just as they should be-seasoned well, fatty and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Would definitely recommend this place for reliable BBQ in Denver! read more

The brisket was exceptional - not dry and super flavorful - the flavor you expect from fine brisket! I also really liked the burnt tips! The sauces they offered were good too, great BBQ sauce!! I enjoyed the location - it's a large food court with lots of great food (Stanley marketplace), so you can grab desert and enjoy the smell of great food coming from everywhere!! We liked it so much we came back the next day to buy a pound brisket to go (we were passing thru on our road trip). When I'm Denver go to ROLLING SMOKE BBQ! Thank you!! I included photos of how to find them at the Stanley marketplace! read more

Had no idea RS BBQ was a food truck! Thought it was a new place in the Stanley Marketplace. Wait, it is that too but not for another week or so per the guys in the truck. I sampled their pulled pork at the Yelp event at the Hangar @ the Stanley last week. It enticed me to try more. So I tracked their food truck down for a very special lunch. Yes, they have burnt ends and they are totally AWESOME. Was hoping to try their smoked mac and cheese but they ran out after serving a guy 2 ahead of me in line. I had their potato salad instead. I went for the sandwich option (1side) versus the plate (2 sides). Ribs weren't listed so not sure if that was cause they ran out of those before I even showed up? Well, I'm really loving the 2 items I tried so far (pulled pork and burnt ends). Can't wait to try the rest!!! So I ventured to their brick and mortar location in the Stanley. I couldn't stop myself from having the burnt ends again. Yum! I chose a plate this time and had collard greens and mac and cheese. Perfect sides to go with my burnt ends! Next time I have to try the ribs!! read more

A great barbecue with a very large portion that can easily be shared. I recommend getting a combo plate so that you can try more options. I have been to this location a handful of times and have ordered the sausages, ribs and other smoked pork items. I truly enjoyed the brisket the most. I do love their side options and offer get the mac & cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, and potato salad. Each plate is about $12-16 for quality bbq. I know many don't like paying 20 bucks for barbecue, but it's a lot of work and definitely quality at Rolling Smoke. This location is definitely a fast casual eatery where you can grab and go a plate and enjoy your meal at an open seating space in the Stanley Marketplace. It's a great option to grab a plate and then eat outside or a community dining high top table in front of the restaurant. It's a no-frills barbecue place. Everything is served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. There are pump stations of the hot and mild barbecue sauce. Are usually grab both and add them to the plate of bbq on the side. There are canned beverages available for purchase. When we went to dine there on 12/30/18 & the special was a brisket chili, which I wish I ordered. I hope to come back next time to try more items! read more
I've always loved the food truck and was thrilled to walk by the other night and see the new location open. It's still "food truck" style in a way. You walk up to the counter, order your food, and shortly thereafter your ready to go. Help yourself to some BBQ sauce before you sit down nearby or take your food to go. I like to mix the two sauces together. My first visit on Sunday I came right before closing so they were out of a lot of the sides and some of the meats. I had a hot link sandwich and they hooked me up with some of their chili as a side. YUM! It had beans, pork, and had great flavor, if you see it get it. Tonight I had the brisket and beans. Both great choices and I can't wait to explore the rest of the menu. I feel like I will become a regular here. read more

Racking this joint into the "go to bbq" category. Staff was pleasant and helpful with questions and was kind to change out a side when it wasn't served at a warm temperature. All their meats don't need sauce and for me thats a testament to their smokers magical powers. Tried the Mac n cheese which was sinfully good and the potato salad, it's was different but very good, light tasting and complimented the meat well. read more
Team- Ya'll gotta get to Rolling Smoke BBQ at Stanley Marketplace. If you haven't been you are seriously missing out on quality BBQ. This humble southern style BBQ joint has all the things you crave- ribs, brisket, hot links, a mean mac'n'cheese, and their collard greens are AH-MAZING! Their sauce is yum! The only downside to this spot is that they are so popular they run out of meat. The key is to learn their meat rotation (the typical times when the meat comes off the smoker) and then be first in line (Venmo me and maybe I'll tell you the secret time-table). Anyway- this place is kickass. The folks that run this spot are friendly and helpful and we keep coming back. Hope to see ya'll there. read more
I love this place! I originally followed them when they had a food truck! Loved their BBQ! The staff is amazing and funny! The Beef brisket is on point. The burnt ends our tasty. The smoked collard greens and smoked bacon green beans are delicious! Everything made in house and fresh. It's hidden at the Stanley Marketplace, but worth to find. My nouth waters everytime I pass it by. They offer lots of meat options and multiple sides. I recommend trying their Ribs as well! Honestly try it all! This is not a place friendly to Vegans! Definitely bring the family down, plenty of places to sit and other places to get a beer or liquor. They offer sodas. All in all I'm happy! read more

I used to come here 1x a month, pre-covid. This was my first time back and it was kind of a bummer. I would have said this place was 5 stars before. They just always got things right. Always the same serving sizes. Warm food. Same taste. First time back, the mac n cheese was nearly cold....the amount of burnt ends was smaller than I've ever been given before. Probably would still give 3 stars but it was such a bummer after it being 5 stars for so long...only 2 today. read more
