The showers, and bathhouses were super clean everyday we stayed here. They were stocked with toiletries, and cleaned every morning which is always a plus!! oh, and they're pet friendly!! I had an encounter with 2 loose dogs, one of which was large and threatening and could not be controlled by the owner - an elderly gentleman. I had 2 working dogs with me on leashes and left within the hour without hooking up as I did not feel safe. I had to scramble for another park on a Saturday evening, twice as far away from where I needed to be. Refund was refused, even though the office manager who I reached on Monday said this has occurred before. I am contacting the Better Business Bureau.

We arranged a 3 month stay at Ghost Hill Campground to begin in early April. The website…read moremisrepresents the campground by showing pictures of what appears to be retired couples enjoying a quiet evening on a spacious lot with grass and trees and serenity. Upon arrival we were shocked to find the campground a vast, densely crowded city of motorhomes packed like sardines in an infrastructure of crushed stone roads and RV lots as far as the eye can see. I talked to Susan a few days later and asked if we left early would we be able to receive a reimbursement. She said if we left by April 15th, she would reimburse us half of our payment, since they have a long list of people waiting to get into the campground. We jumped through hoops to find an alternate living arrangement and moved the RV out on April 12th. We talked to Susan that afternoon to let her know we were off the property and how she wanted to handle the reimbursement. Susan now changed her story and decided that they were not going to reimburse any funds. I pleaded with Susan that we would have not gone through so much trouble and additional expense if she had told us that from the beginning. Susan denied she ever offered anything. We could hear her husband berating her in the background. A truly sad place and sad situation. This is a place for folks looking for a long-term low-income environment to live. All others beware.

We stayed on site #198 which is excellently located with a great view of the mountain. Due to COVID-19 Stone Mountain Park attractions were closed, but the hotels, golf courses and natural areas including Grist Mill, Covered Bridge, Quarry Exhibit and hiking trails were still open so we had fun wandering around even though it was rainy. There is a general store to buy last minute necessities pretty well stocked, a laundry room, and the bathrooms were pretty close to the sites which were super clean as well. The booking site is very easy, and the staff is super friendly. Would recommend staying here. I live hours away, I'm not affected by this. But having first responders living there through temporary, extended work - people who are clean, pay months in advance, and have caused ZERO issues is the absolute tackiest, most BULLSHIT decision. but let's let the actual trash, junkyard campers stay. The Mountain views were breathtaking as we watched the Sunrise while relaxing in the Hot tub. It was in the perfect location, for peace and relaxation, as well as within minutes from everything you could imagine to do in Town. I recommend that visitors plan to stay at least five days, to be able to enjoy everything that Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg has to offer. This cabin is perfect for small family reunions. It offers a large kitchen area, two fabulous hot tubs and an awesome Game room. Most importantly, Debbie (the cabin owner) made our trip as pleasant and easy going as possible. She was friendly, helpful and has developed a great page on Facebook, that I would recommend anyone to view, if looking for a beautiful family-sized cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains. My family and I will be back to visit this winter, so that we can enjoy the snow as well as the summer to embark on all of the outdoor activities and adventures. The view from the master bedroom was beautiful -- it would be even better if some trees were trimmed near the hot tub and living room balcony to open up that same view. The fire pit area was really nice with plenty of seating, and parking was spacious right out front. We spent a lot of time in the game area with the pool table and foosball and had a blast. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there were even board games for the kids. The only downside was that the floors weren't very clean -- we don't wear shoes indoors, and our feet turned black pretty quickly. Other than that, Ashley and Francis were wonderful hosts -- super responsive and helpful. Overall, a beautiful cabin in a great location!
