During our first visit, we waited more than 30 minutes past our appointment time to be seen. That did not bother me, as I understand that medical and dental offices can fall behind schedule due to the number of patients they see. We were patient and waited without complaint. What ultimately changed my opinion was a later appointment when we arrived 15 minutes late, we were refused service, despite calling ahead to explain that my children's school bus was delayed. I don't understand why patients are expected to be flexible and understanding when delays occur at the office, while the same courtesy is not extended in return. That double standard was disappointing, and as a result, we will not be coming back.

My son has received the best care in this office…read more The staff and Dr. Rochelle are AMAZING! Lillian at the front desk was so helpful and reassuring with all my questions. Today my son came in for two fillings under oral sedation and use of laughing gas. The whole team made my son feel extremely comfortable which in turn had me feeling comfortable. My son has several allergies and had many previous reactions so I did come in a little anxious myself. As a manager in healthcare I always tell my staff that we need to treat our patients like family. At todays visit I felt just that from Dr. Rochelle and her team.

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience with this dental office. I want to start by…read moresaying that previously I had not had any major issues with the office, although I had noticed that their procedures seemed to be priced on the higher side. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my opinion. I paid a $300 deposit for my son's dental appointment. I did not cancel or miss the appointment. We showed up as scheduled, but my son was unable to cooperate, so the services were not performed. When we scheduled another appointment, I was required to pay another $300 deposit instead of having the original deposit applied. Ultimately, I lost $600 in deposits, despite the original treatment never being completed. I spoke directly with the dentist and explained the situation, hoping she would understand and work with me. I did not feel that she showed any sympathy for my situation whatsoever. She ended our call without telling me directly that the money would not be returned. Instead, she had her front desk contact me afterward to inform me that the deposit would not be refunded. I found that extremely disappointing, especially after I had spoken with her personally about my concerns. There was also a major lack of transparency regarding the anesthesia charges. The anesthesiologist told me the dental office had informed them that my son's procedure would take three hours, and I was being asked to pay the full anesthesia cost based on three hours. When I questioned the dentist directly, she told me she could actually complete the procedure in two hours. Had I simply paid what I was originally asked to pay without questioning it, I would have paid for an additional hour of anesthesia that apparently was not needed. That situation made me question the transparency of the entire billing process. Between losing $600 in deposits and discovering the discrepancy in the estimated anesthesia time, I no longer felt comfortable moving forward with this office. I tried to resolve this directly with the dentist before sharing my experience publicly, but unfortunately, nothing was resolved. I fully expect the office may respond to this review with an explanation or justification, but I wish that same effort had been put into actually resolving the issue with me when I contacted them directly. A response to a review does not change the fact that I lost $600 or address the concerns I raised. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that parents get all deposit policies, procedure costs, estimated anesthesia times, and refund policies in writing before paying anything and ask all the questions you have.

Sometimes breaking up with a dentist is just necessary for your sanity…read more I found Kids Care Dental after a frustrating dental saga. Our longtime dentist retired and the next office I tried, Vacaville Dental Group, randomly stopped taking our insurance after onboarding all four of my kids. Instead of being upfront, they tried to charge us and kept saying they were "working on getting back in network." Weeks turned into months, my daughter needed a checkup, and the front desk response from a lady when I called was... let's just say, less than warm. Immediate nope. Cue Kids Care Dental, aka, why didn't we come here sooner?! This place is clearly designed for kids and parents who value sanity. TVs on the ceiling, sunglasses, headphones, and a calm, welcoming vibe that immediately lowers your blood pressure. The dentist is one of the kindest, most patient humans, she genuinely loves working with kids, and it shows. Every staff member was wonderful. While I was there, another little patient had a hard time leaving a toy behind, and an employee simply let him keep it. Meltdown avoided, mom relieved, kid ecstatic. Honestly, I almost asked if I could have a toy too The only small hiccup: calling initially routes to a call center, not the clinic, which made asking questions a bit annoying. But they texted me the paperwork the day of the appointment, I filled it out before we arrived, and they told me I can text the clinic directly going forward. Problem solved. I'm officially switching all of my kids to Kids Care Dental, and I wish I had done it sooner. 10/10 recommend. Your kids, and your blood pressure will thank you.

I am writing this review to warn other parents to always trust their own eyes and get a second…read moreopinion, because this clinic's passive advice completely ruined my daughter's baby teeth and left us with a financial crisis. When my daughter was 2 years old, my husband and I noticed clear enamel erosion, discoloration, and visible decay on her four front top teeth. We proactively took her here fully expecting her to need caps or silver crowns. Instead, the dentist dismissed our concerns, told us "it's not that bad," and claimed she didn't need any actual dental work. She told us to just brush with fluoride toothpaste and that it would be fine. We trusted her professional judgment. Now, exactly 18 months later, that terrible advice has blown up into a nightmare. Because the dentist practiced passive "watchful waiting" instead of actively treating the decay or offering preventative shields (like silver diamine fluoride), the active infection spread aggressively across her entire mouth. We just found out she now has widespread cavities and needs full oral surgery to have 5 teeth extracted. To make a horrible situation even worse, this clinic does not even offer payment plans. They demand that you pay the total cost--nearly $3,000--completely upfront before they will even perform the surgery.Because of their negligence, they allowed tiny, completely treatable surface issues to turn into a major dental crisis for a four-year-old child. Now we are forced to scramble to come up with thousands of dollars entirely upfront just to get my baby girl out of pain. This place failed our family completely, both medically and humanly.

Ok first off, OMG THEY ARE AMAZING!…read more My 2 year old always puts up a struggle when we brush his teeth in the morning and in the evening. He was a bit hesitant when we walked in but the assistant (sorry I forgot her name) was so gentle, sweet, and really caring. I hope they all move to Illinois so I can have them be my kids peds dentist location. My family and I were in Santa Rosa for a family wedding. The wedding was on a Sunday and my 23 month old daughter was the flower girl in the wedding. Sunday morning at 7:30AM my poor girl tripped into a set of stairs and knocked several teeth loose (one horribly loose). After some emergency consultation on Sunday we knew we had to wait until Monday morning in order to attempt to have someone see us. I called atleast 2 dozen Dentists, peds dentists, and periodontists within a 30 mile radius on Monday morning and every location was either closed, docs were gone or they didn't see kids. I was lost. My baby girl was in pain. And I didn't know where to turn. Fortunately, Dr. Angie's office was recommended for me to contact by one of the practices that couldn't see me. It would be over an hour drive but after they heard about our situation they vowed to try and squeeze us in. Keep in mind they had a fully booked day and were short staffed. We made the drive and they squeezed us in between patients, all while respecting the appointments and privacy of their current patients (not an easy task to do! I was impressed). They did a visual examination of my daughters teeth and knew xrays were needed right away. After Xrays, it was apparent that a tooth needed to be pulled. My wife and I already knew this and so did Dr. Angie and the team, but proper examination was needed. My poor girls teeth looked rough and it had to be done before we headed home. Dr. Angie and her team exceeded any expectation of bedside manner, love, care, comfort, and expertise that I had walking in there that day. We completed the procedure and 10 minutes later, my daughter was visibly doing better. We are home now and she is a happy girl. We have to keep a close eye on the other affected teeth, but she would not be where she is if it wasn't for Dr. Angie and her team. If you all decide to move to Illinois, I will be the first to sign up my kids as your patients. You brought more than just care to my baby girl, you brought it to all of us. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I had a consult last week with a DIFFERENT ortho in town and was quoted $5,610 for Invisalign with this vibrating "top notch accelerator" that was supposed to accelerate my treatment to 12 months. This was after the ortho looked into my mouth for a few seconds. Dr. Andersen was super professional and when he ripped open a new sterilized kit, looked at each individual tooth and started talking measurements and other dentistry things to his staff, I knew we were in business. He was honest and didn't try to sell me on anything. I now have an appointment in December for a four month treatment to take care of my bottom teeth and a top retainer to keep the top straight, all for about a third of the price the other ortho had quoted me. This place is great. I messed up on the date of my appointment so I was seen pretty quick, but if you have to wait a month or so to be seen here, it's definitely worth the wait.
