I arrived during office hours (3:45pm on Friday) to check over our paperwork as new clients to make sure all the billing was in order. The secretary ignored that I was at the door and I was sent to voicemail twice while standing right at the glass door. It wasn't until I got back in my car and it was time for her to clock out that she called back. If your insurance is not exactly how the secretary thinks it should be, she will not schedule treatments. She relies on her own experience rather than insurance procedure to determine whether or not this office should treat your children or not. Hoping this is an isolated situation and not reflective of the office as a whole because what was once feelings of excitement over having a pediatric dental and orthodontic office 5 minutes from our house has turned into a front desk nightmare. read more

If you don't want to be discriminated by Mr. Adair, then do not come here! He was so rude! As I said in my review on Google, I wish there was cameras in the consultation room because he was flat out, discriminating me. And this doesn't have to be about race, but he definitely was discriminating me as a young parent. Basically blaming me for not bringing my daughter any sooner or else she would've been able to get something done which is funny because I was able to seek a second opinion from another doctor that specializes in airway and my daughter is getting treatment now, so be careful where you end ur search for a good orthodontist. And the crazy part is my kids have gone to the dentist since they had teeth. So for him to say, I didn't bring her in time wasn't a lacking on my part. He was just negative Nancy the whole conversation. Asking what would I like to know instead of driving the conversation into what he sees and how he can help he flat said there's nothing he could do for us and I said nothing.? and he said nope flat out. So I kept pushing for a better answer and finally he said maybe when she's older and I said well thank you for finally giving a positive response and he just said I could take it how I want. I called this place to inquire for my daughters first dental visit. She's only 17 months old. I asked for their latest time possible which was around 4:20pm (I let them know I was looking for their latest time possible because I get off work around 3pm from Vacaville) and this location was a perfect fit. I was able to get their latest time possible, location is nearby Costco & they take my dental insurance. My daughter was seen by Dr. Lam. Very funny, patient & also informative on my daughters dental health. The dental assistant was able to clean my daughters teeth with a little bit of a hold down but we got it done. She also gave my daughter a tooth brush & floss. At the end my daughter was given a sticker for her visit. We also booked my daughter out 6 months in advance! Thank you GV SMILES! Have been seeing Dr. Adair for both my children for a few years. I was told by another orthodontist that my children would have to have several (healthy) teeth pulled in order to make room for all of their teeth. It seemed absurd! We went in for my 3 kids 6 month dental check-up and only found out then that Dr. Lam is no longer with the practice. All of a sudden all three of my children had multiple cavities when this had not been the case before. The fillings were done roughly and 2 of my kids are still having pain from this 2 months later. I have a 3 year old daughter and this was her second time seeing Dr. Lam. Anytime we go to the doctor's office she's skeptical of her pediatrician and with her dentist, it isn't any difference. Dr.Evan and his are AMAZING! we found the practice on the Autism Speaks website and brought both boys here. Conner has Autism so trying to find a good and patient dentist is hard. Dr.Even went over all the tools with both boys before their cleaning so they would feel comfortable. This was the first time a dentist was able to do the exam with no help from us. We had to return a few weeks later so Aiden could get some dental work done. There was a schedule mix up but the staff made sure we were able to get in and get the work done. Aiden was so scared about getting shots and getting work done but with the nitrous oxide and Dr.Evan talking to him, he never knew the shots were already done! I highly recommend this office! I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Adair, Kimberly and the entire staff at GV Smiles, but I'll try. First time seeing Dr. Franklin and I was concerned my 4 year old son would make it difficult getting his teeth clean. He was previously seen by another dentist and he would not allow his teeth cleaned, so I was told to come back in a year. Not good advice, since Dr. Franklin found some issues that should have been addressed when he was seen 4 months ago. Dr. Franklin and Mercedes did an amazing job of getting the job done and making my son feel comfortable. I was really impressed with Dr. Franklin, on how she took the time to explain the procedures and give terrific advice. I did not feel rushed, she really showed she cared. So you need to see an orthodontist. And maybe you drive by this one on your way to the supermarket. The location couldn't be any more convenient. The parking is never a problem. As you drive by it every few days you look and wonder if they're any good. Maybe you think it would be awkward to just stop in and take a look. After all, shopping for someone that can fix your teeth isn't like buying a car. You can't exactly test-drive one. Well, that's where yelp comes in. Here you can take it from people that have already dealt with this office and get their insight. So.....I am originally from Miami florida and the orthodontist that I went to there was the top Orthodontist in town. Great employees, beautiful office....the works. With that as a comparison, I can say that Kevin Adair's office (Green Valley Ortho) is just as great if not better. As I mentioned above, the location is great and the parking is easy. The office itself is new, clean and well laid out. The have state-of-the-art equipment (just wait til you see the cool x-ray image). They seem to space their appointments perfectly because rarely have we found ourselves having to wait at all. Typically, you get there and are taken right back to be tended to. We're all busy, so this is always appreciated. Dr. Adair is a consummate professional and his staff couldn't be nicer if they tried. We have also found them to be very accommodating when we have had to make any changes to an appointment. Long story short, if you need to see an orthodontist, this is the place to go. Take a look at my reviews and I think you'll see they I favor places that make you feel welcome and which I feel are deserving of my business. This place is no different. They will make you feel at home and won't treat you like a number or just another person coming through. If anything should serve as proof, it's this: Dr. Adair sponsors the local youth football team. He could give his money, have his name put on the jersey and be done with it. Instead, he and his wife regularly attends the games and cheer the kids on. He is a nice, honest, genuine, stand-up guy. For this reason, if I could give him and his office more stars, I would. I just had my braces removed after 27 months and all I have to say is that it was all well worth it. Dr. Adair and all of his staff deserve 5 stars for everything. Being in the military they were willing to work my last minute schedule changes and last minute visits to fix a loose wire or missing bracket. My general dentist couldn't make a temporary mold because it was completely extracted, No one knew what to do. But as scared as I was I went to Dr. Adair and within an hour and a half he molded a temporary "tooth" on to my retainer, It fit perfect and is super comfortable. People hardly even notice it! I cannot say enough positive things about our interaction with Green Valley Orthodontics. We came in for my 12-year-old son's consultation and left feeling like we just made new friends. I was already impressed by my initial contact through Kimberly, Dr. Adair's front & back assistant. She is friendly, helpful & an overall positive person. The office is brand new, clean & they have top of the line technology from computers, cameras, etc. My son's interaction with Kevin (Dr. Adair) took all his fear, anxiety & questions away because of Kevin's explanation & speech about about him being the patient and he will never do anything he doesn't want to be done to his person without his okay. It doesn't matter what his parents or any other person says, he is the patient and Kevin will only listen to him. My son's jaw dropped & was completely taken aback & left speechless and quite in awe of Kevin. I have to admit I was pretty impressed with his speech too.
