I recently played this course on a beautiful October Saturday, and I was pleasantly surprised given…read morethe awful reviews. The staff was really friendly, and the groups were spaced out sufficiently so we could play relatively quickly and not feel rushed by groups behind us. It is a pretty flat, straightforward layout, so we opted to walk and found it very walkable. The heart of the fairways and greens were in pretty good shape. Sure, the tee boxes looked well used/worn and once you got off fairway the conditions were dry and a little rough, but for a public course at this price point, I would definitely play here again. Sand in bunkers was almost like concrete, so not great to hit out of...but you can role through them like a cart path! If you're looking for a Pinehills experience, or something that rivals an exclusive country club, this is not a place for you. But for a relaxed, laid back walkable 9-hole course, you could do worse.

Sometimes it's hard to find out what part of the park you're meant to meet someone in since there are so many sections. You can walk along the long beach or try a woodsy hiking trail. The trails on the right of the beach have either steps or a gradual slope to get up to the top of them, and you can look down over a small cliff to see the water below. The trails on the left of the gazebo are beautiful and give you many options, but people ride horses here, so be mindful of the droppings! This park has fantastic sunsets and multiple picnic areas, plus multi Porta potties that are usually in decent condition to use if needed. The bridge is great to look at, but can get crowded with families doing holiday photo shoots in the fall, so I've become wary of coming here since being stuck on one side of the bridge while a family made us wait to cross until they were done with pictures (ugh). We went to Harbor Lights for Easter brunch and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience…read more When we arrived, the dining room felt cold and damp because a window near our table was left open--even though it was cold and rainy outside. It set the tone for what ended up being a very uncomfortable meal. The organization of the brunch was extremely poor. All tables were seated and then released at the same time, which created complete chaos. There was no direction, no clear flow, and no communication. Two lines formed for the buffet, but there wasn't nearly enough space to accommodate everyone. At the carving station, both lines collided and people had to awkwardly cross over each other just to access different items. The food itself was also underwhelming. Several of the vegetables were undercooked, and overall the quality did not meet expectations for a holiday brunch. To add to the frustration, I asked for milk for my mom's coffee (she can't have cream), and after about 10 minutes, we were told there was no milk anywhere in the building. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience--especially for a special occasion like Easter. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
