First impressions are so important and Cody knows this like a master. He was called on a few…read moreoccasions where he was quick, fairly priced and demonstrated impressive knowledge and expertise. This is why we were repeat customers. Knowing his style he'll respond to this review and will either play victim or tell a story that won't reflect the reality of the shocking experience. I would like to say thank you Cody for the first few service calls and would also like to warn potential customers that he upcharged almost 100% for a part that was available at a local RV shop to a consumer. It was purchased because he didn't return in a timely manner (about 1 month) and eventually didn't return at all. He said the wrong part was sent and that the correct part would arrive in about a week. When I told him the part was purchased at a local RV shop he was suddenly able to install the part he ordered with 2-3days and ignored the fact that we had the part needed. I told him to return it and get a refund in which he said he couldn't. I suggested that since the first part sent was the wrong part that they should understand his customer not being able to wait for over a month for hot water and that a refund should be honored. Since the correct product was still en route I suggested to have it rerouted back to the company since they made an error the first time. He was persistent that he could not get a refund so I asked him for the name of the company and that I would call them myself. He gave me a fake company name that didn't exist. I also asked him for the receipt which he never sent. He also said that only contractors can call them. I already know exactly what he did. Paid himself/his own card services with an exorbitant amount of money for a part that was readily available locally and on-line for a hundreds less and even a delivery turn around time of 24-48 hours. After cornered into his own lies he suggested that it would be best if we not speak again. Waiting for over a month without warm water is unacceptable, especially during the coldest time of the year. Upcharging a senior citizen and lying about the cost, wrong part delivered, not sending a receipt is elder abuse. Cody may be good at what he does but he may have succumbed to being a victim himself. No judgement on RV living just in disbelief that someone well-mannered and talented had to lie and steal from a senior. After having to boil water to shower for over a month, the part found locally was purchased and installed in 20 minutes by a non-rv/mechanic. So the best thing that happened in this situation was money saved by him not coming to install the part. If a response is made to this review and misrepresents the situation I have everything documented and will provide pictures of the txts exchanges. Cody, you could have dropped off the part since we paid for it. I hope you double benefited from up-selling the same part twice. My only recommendation for your business is to stop ripping off seniors- it's bad karma. Sleep well and take care of yourself, Houdini.

Leale's RV - Technicians doing body work on RV with collision damage

I brought my Winnebago Solis to Leales in June 2025 in prep for a long trip to Alaska starting in…read morelate July. It had been a very busy year and I still had many demands on my time that were not related to the trip, and I was stressed. I asked them to do routine engine maintenance and to find out why the dashboard AC had stopped working. They did as I asked and found and fixed the problem with the AC right away. I wanted new tires plus a spare for the trip. Savio referred me to Ramon's and they did a wonderful job with the tires, including locating a rim for the spare. The Solis has no space for a spare. I ordered a mounted from Landed Gear and had it shipped to Leales and Leales followed the instructions for the installation so that the spare stayed put even when we drove the famously rough Alcan Highway there and back. The road is built on permafrost and its reputation has not been exaggerated - we encountered one car with two flat tires - but with good tires and slow driving, we never needed our spare. We also did not experience the problems I've read people have with other brands or improperly installed back door mounted spare tire racks: broken window or warping of the metal doors.

AVOID LEALE'S RV -- Misleading, Frustrating, and Unprofessional…read more I had a really frustrating experience with Leale's RV, particularly with Michael in their service department. I brought in my 2024 Thor motorhome for a battery-related issue. Michael incorrectly told me that my coach does not support Group 31 AGM batteries and insisted I would need to spend nearly $2,000 to upgrade to lithium. He was adamant, repeatedly citing his past experience working at Thor (from years ago) as the basis for his claims--even though the coach came from the factory with Group 31s. He had a condescending attitude and loves to talk on the phone explaining how experienced he was. Meanwhile, he keeps sending me photos of their posted $239/hr labor rate as if that justified the misdiagnosis or poor service, rather than addressing the actual issue. It felt like a deflection rather than a solution. Thankfully, Savio his manager was able to step in, confirm the unit was indeed compatible with Group 31 batteries, and help me get the right battery installed immediately. I bought the battery myself and dropped it off for a quick, proper install--something that should've happened from the beginning. Although I'm having to pay for the diagnostics even though they have the authorization from the manufacturer to cover the diagnostics! To make matters worse, I was told they wouldn't cash the reimbursement check from the manufacturer (Thor), but they cashed it anyway, leaving me out $700 and damaging my relationship with Thor. I had to chase down Thor myself for clarification and deal with the fallout. Despite talking to them on June 26 and then explaining that they closed the case and zero checks would be cashed. July 16 and Thor confirms the check was indeed cashed. This whole experience left me feeling deceived, ignored, and frustrated. Between the incorrect technical advice, the lack of accountability, and the poor communication, I cannot recommend Leale's RV to anyone looking for honest, competent service. I'm just glad that I did not pay for them to upgrade my batteries at $1,800 because the coach already supports lithium batteries.

I like to rough it a bit more in a tent with a more natural setting. This place gets packed on weekends and I found the spacing to be too dense. Like neighbors all around 360 and just within feet of each other. But ya know what this is a gripe from a tent camper who chooses places based on spacing and density. Also every RV camper is used to this style of camping. They prefer convenience over solitude, to each their own. I will say that for as packed as this place gets, the campers are all good natured and considerate. No loud after hours noise/partying, no blaring of music and I didn't even hear any buzzes from a generator. Kids playing all over the place, which I love to see. The park offers great services like they'll deliver firewood or a fire pit to any site. They have a general store up front and the grounds are immaculate. There are bathrooms with showers if one didn't want to use the RV version. And the clincher for me on why I would recommend this campsite to anyone interested are the aesthetics. Their name truly is accurate...they are dead smack in the middle of a redwood forest. Even the dozens of monster RVs that are there are all in the shadows of a majestic redwood forest. There's even a nice creek that flows through the resort where people can wade, play and relax. Even though not my cup of tea, I can still acknowledge and appreciate what this place brings. And I'm glad it is there for others.

There's is a nice clubhouse with a kitchen area, sofa and games such as fooseball and shuffleboard. Several board games as well. The deck has plenty of tables for eating or just hanging out. The San Lorenzo river is right there and just beautiful. Easy to walk down to the river. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I love their little store- it has the right amount of miniature basics and there is also ice cream pints and the most delicious ice cream sandwiches. The other bonus is that you can burn a real wood fire at night! Will definitely keep coming back!

The RV had to be ready to take me to San Diego where I will start my new job. As the inspection continued the number of mandatory safety and repair issues increased exponentially. I can honestly say they saved my life and probably the lives of everyone else on the road with me. This is no exaggeration. I am driving a 33000 pound vehicle. When you step on the brakes you need the vehicle to come to a complete stop safely. You want the lights to work, the electrical to work, the plumbing to work and the propane not to leak. Bay Area RV found and fixed so many crucial items that I would never have known about if it wasn't for them. Even though my total repair bill was significantly higher than I could ever have anticipated, I now have a safe , fully operational and beautiful RV that will last me for many years to come. I can't list all the details because they would be too numerous, but the number of times they have cut cost, discounted labor, and went above and beyond to work with their vendors and mine to get me the best possible price for the mandatory parts I needed is more than I think anyone else would have ever done for me. Even after I am down in San Diego I am going to drive that RV right back up here for any major work that needs to be done because I know it will be done right and with honor and with integrity. I can honestly say that they put me ahead of their own profits. My final bill was high but that is not their fault and it could have been much much worse if I had taken it to someone else. I don't want to exclude anyone on their amazing team but I do want to give a shout out to Alison and Alberto. You have made a friend and customer for life.
