I received an email from Rollasons flowers on February 3 saying now is the time to order for Valentine's Day as every bouquet is in stock and to beat the last minute rush. So on February 3rd I ordered $200 mixed red and pink roses along with wine and chocolates to be delivered on Valentine's Day Got email back within a few minutes of ordering saying order is confirmed. That was February 3rd. So, thinking that I got my order in early and everything should go smoothly so I won't have to worry last minute. Fast forward to Valentine's Day February 14. 11 days after I placed my order I get a phone call from Rollasons at 4:15 pm telling me they are running out of flowers and would I be ok with substituting the red and pink roses for white roses or carnations? I was dumbfounded and explained that I had placed my order on February 3rd and should have been ahead of most orders. She proceeded to tell me they are doing their best to fill the orders in the order received. Instead of just saying we made a mistake and your order got mixed in which obviously happened. So, I said well might as well put the white roses in as I wanted roses however white roses don't have the same meaning. She advised they would probably add a few more roses than normal like that would make a difference instead of offering me a discount on my order or anything like that. It was obviously too late to cancel my order and go somewhere else as I am sure everybody would be out of flowers and I am at work hoping that my wife got her delivery earlier in the day. This has completely ruined my Valentine's Day and I have shopped at Rollasons a few times in the past but never again. Thanks for nothing Rollasons. $200 for a boquet of white roses on Valentine's Day?? I don't ever write negative reviews like this because most places are professional and would resolve the matter better than this. Do better. It's now 530 pm still no delivery. 7 pm no delivery or phone call or anything. Received phone call at 810 pm saying they were not able to get my delivery out today because they were swamped and down two delivery drivers and had lots of walk ins. Asked if I would be ok with delivery next Tuesday . Advised again that I had placed the order on February 3rd to ensure I got what I ordered and should have been probably one of the first few deliveries of the day. Needless to say I obviously asked for a refund. Brutal customer service. Not to mention the fact that they could have called me before closing advising they wouldn't be able to deliver today maybe I could have picked them up myself before they closed. It's like that seinfeld episode where he reserved a rental car and when he went to pick it up they had no cars. read more

Placed a long distance order with them a few years back. As feedback from recipient was positive, decided to order again this year. This time, while delivery was on point, the arrangement was a disappointment. I only wish I could post pics for others to see so they could make their own decisions. read more

Rollasons showed on their website, a beautiful bouquet of a best selling bouquet which consisted of 12 roses.12 white lilies, and lots of white mums as filler. I couldn't afford $90 so I asked them to skip the vase it came in, and make it a $60 bouquet for a wedding, with a bit more then half the flowers displayed. I'm from Vancouver area so I couldn't be there. I trusted they'd do a good job. What was delivered was 6 roses and a few mums and lots of green filler. . What a disappointment! For $77 incl tax and delivery. I won't be ordering any more flowers from this florist. Also they didn't bother responding when I wrote them a friendly email expressing my disappointment. read more

I would not use any other flower shop in Thunder Bay. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable and they always have a great selection of fresh stock. If they don't have what I am looking for they will do everything they can to get it for me. I have always received great flowers and great value. The ONLY reason that I would rate Rollason Flowers 2 out of 5 is because up until today I have not had any major problems with them. The staff is usually VERY helpful when placing an order as was the case when I placed my order for Mother's Day 2014. The woman with whom I initially spoke was extremely pleasant and helpful; she even went as far as to suggest that I call her back on the toll free number and then went on to inform me that they do not have a minimum order requirement, just the additional delivery fee so if I ever wanted to send just a few stems someday that I could do that. Unfortunately, I did not record her name but it was an absolute pleasure to speak with her. I just called back today to request that the delivery drivers try to deliver the flowers that I ordered before a certain time as the recipient had an unexpected change in her work schedule. I obviously realize that flower shops cannot guarantee a delivery time, especially on such a busy day and I mentioned that to the woman that answered the telephone from the start of our conversation. She interrupted me SEVERAL TIMES during our three minute conversation and had a very unpleasant tone. When I was able to get a word or two in I told her that I understood that there were no guarantees but that I would appreciate it if they could at least try. Finally, I had had quite enough of her attitude and being treated this way with absolutely no just cause. I told her that her attitude was a problem and that I was not being unreasonable at which point she raised her voice and kept speaking over me. I do not typically do this but as I as unable to reason with this tyrant of an order taker I simple hung the telephone up. To her credit she says that she did try to call me back and claims that I hung up on her when it must have been a bad connection because I did not get any calls to my home number. The fact that she has the audacity to accuse me of this is just astonishing. My Husband called back and spoke with the Manager who passed us off to the Marilyn, the miserable woman with whom I spoke initially. She then proceeded to tell my Husband that I was lying and that I was the one who raised my voice and had a bad attitude. Not once did she or the "Manager" offer even the most insincere of apologies. We were not looking for anything more than that, never once did we ask for any sort of discount we simply wanted an explanation as to why the staff at Rollason Flowers believes that it is within their rights to speak to long established, loyal customers in the way. Unfortunately, all we ended up getting was confirmation that the Management is supportive of such terrible treatment of their customers. Will NEVER do business with them again. read more
