Side order of rice and beans

We absolutely love this place!! Their food is so yummy!! We ordered a side of rice and beans, a regular soft carne asada taco with no pico de gallo and a #4 Rolled Taco Special!! We have been trying new items on the menu whenever we go. So glad we found this place!! The workers are super nice and their salsa is amazing!!! I love how this place is open 24/7!

Rolbertos Restaurant This was my very first visit to Rolbertos. Years ago I was doing some business one day across the street and it was taking some time. So for an hour or so I watched all of the people coming in and out of Rolbertos and I could even smell the amazing smells across the street. I thought I need to try that place, it is packed and has a constance of people driving through and eating out side. One could judge the area around the restaurant or even the small older building and choose to not order a taco here. If you do that, you are the one missing out. This restaurant may really go with the saying, don't judge a book by its cover. This is why driving quick by a place and not turning in because it is not a new shiny modern building, is that you miss out. Rolbertos Crispy Beef Taco Review Appearance = 1.8 / 2 - It looked like a great crispy beef taco. It was not beat up, just looked like it needed to be eaten immediately. Tortilla = 1.9 / 2 - Wowzers! It looked great, but amazingly enough the shell was better than it looked. The tortilla appeared to look and feel about normal for a crispy taco, but it succeed most regular crispy tacos. Meat / filling = 1.9 / 2 - Perfect! Just right! Great tasting beef. Ya, I would like tomatoes on it. Not sure I would actually have the room in my stomach, but other casual dining and take out places don't have tomatoes. I don't want to add anything when I am odering tacos right now, I want them the way the come. Well except I say no onions, which usually does not apply to crispy tacos. Sauce = 1.9 / 2 - Appearances do not apply to Rolbertos. The sauce was very thin and a light red color. Just a different consistently than I am use to or have come to expect. I looked at it and thought no thanks. It was not vinegary as so many of Take out Taco Restaurants seem to be. It was not too spicy and had just the right flavor to compliment the rest of the taco. The red sauce was just right. Don't forget to add the red sauce. Value = 1.9 / 2 $2.60 - Again I have come to most Taco Shop take out places the tacos are typically over $3 and closer to $4. Under $3. It is a great value. I am good with the price, but it should probably be $3.50. In this case for the Crispy Fried Taco at Rolbertos Restaurant you get more than you pay for as far as value goes. Total Score 9.4 / 10 Rolbertos Ambiance = 2 / 10 - When the drive thru window was open and the girl in the window was making my tacos, the amazing smells from their kitchen filled my car. Their outdoor seating was closed, and I ate in my car. That is not your typical Ambiance, but it is not why I came here. It is all about the tacos. Service = 8 / 10 - In a few minutes I had fresh amazing tacos in my hands. I received friendly, quick and accurate service. I have gone back 3 times and took my whole family and had a cheap dinner for 7 from$25-$30. Each of the 3 times the tacos were consistently good. Go to Rolbertos and get the crispy beef tacos. This place has got some great tasting salsas!!! Its not watered-down like filibertos. So if you like spicy hottt you gotta try the red it has lotts of flavor and moth burning. The green is just as good but not as hot. The service is always quick they give unlimited waters probably because they know how hottt that salsa can be lol.... workers are also kind and friendly no matter what time of day it is this place will make that fresh mexican food to satisfy your cravings because they are open 24 hrs a day 7 days a week trust me you'll never be disappointed in their food unless you prefer fake mexican food this is not the place to stop by.

The Veggie burrito is amazing here
    David L.

I ordered a veggie burrito at 1:20am and it was amazing! It had beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, ect and it tasted fresh and was filled with flavor. I asked the guy at the drive thru for the hottest hot sauce and he gave me the red one. That sauce has to be of the best sauces I've had in years. I will be coming back for more veggie burritos in the future. I would have given them 5 stars but I had to knock a star off cause when I asked for a plate for my burrito they tried to charge me $1 for it. I ate it without a plate and tried my best not to make a mess in the car even though I soaked the burrito in red hot sauce.

No masks on employees? Even the drive thru person? Other than that, delicious. Really, very good food for a taco shop.

Authentic Mexican food sounded perfect and I knew good things were in store when I arrived at 11:30am on a Friday and all of inside and outside tables were full. The inside is quaint but has quite a few tables. They also have tables out front in the shade (to call it patio seating may be a stretch, just simple tables and chairs on the exterior of the entrance). You order your food at the counter and I didn't study the menu ahead of time but the ladies taking my order were patient with me. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Nothing fancy for my first time as it's hard to golf on a full stomach! I found the only open table and then hit up the salsa bar. They have 4 or 5 different salsas/hot sauces and a few other goodies. I got a small cup of each sauce and all of them were quite good. My food was colorful, flavorful and just the right away to give me some energy without being lethargic. I could go on about a few other nice things but it seems most of East Mesa already knows about this place given the high scores on Yelp from a lot of reviewers. Nothing to prevent me from giving a 5* review at this time. I look forward to trying some more dishes in the future.

Nice cuts, tender and not dry at all. Definitely a fan. Enjoyed both the nachos and the fajitas. Good serving sizes. Also, loved the staff! They were super friendly and welcoming. They offered to take my empty plate as I was about to. They also bud farewell to guests as they left. Felt like a really warm family place. Well lit, fun decor, clean. Very enjoyable - will be back!

I'm posting this review for two reasons - The first being because the manager passed the restaurant phone over to the supposed "owner" after I called within five minutes of getting home to tell them the chips and taco shells tasted like they were fried in old, rancid oil. The manager told me she could offer a credit and when I said I would prefer the refund to my card is when she went to get the "owner". I'm fairly sure I wasn't an asshole to her. I was pretty peeved at this point because we're talking about almost $16 of the $49.11 which was the cost of the food I ordered before tax and tip. I work in the service industry/for tips too so I get it. I'm well aware of the price increase of everything everywhere!!! Before going to Ritos I waited in a line of 10 cars at Sam's Club for gas and gas was $49.65. So there's that. The "owner" also reiterated that a refund would only be given if I brought the food back. I'm sorry, but, I live 15 minutes away from Mesa Riverview. My employer was 30 minutes from the restaurant. I sure as f*ck wasn't going to get my ass back in my car and drive back to Ritos to give them shitty tacos and chips. They told me they would offer a credit for next time for chips and 2 tacos - and I guess that's acceptable but my question is - how are you going to provide that when you don't have my number or an email address for me? And aren't chips typically complimentary at a Mexican food restaurant when you dine in? The manager had the audacity to say that the oil was changed, the chips and tacos are cooked in different vats, the cost of meat has gone up and "everyone is feeling it." That's quite the level of audacity. I'm to the point where I don't give a about your credit and if I want Ritos I'll drive even more out of my way to the Garfield or 7th Street location. I'm more pissed off about the "owner's" attitude than I am about the $2.55 chips I threw in the trash. And the taco shells didn't taste too rancid drowning the inside in salsa. My mother was in her bedroom in the back of the house (I was in the kitchen) and just told me she could hear the owner yelling at me and what a sh*tty way to do business. Keep your credit, I won't be back to your locatiom to dine in OR take food to go. PS - Change your raunchy ass oil. As you said, consumers pay *way too much* to get home with a To Go order to have to throw it away because oil isn't changed frequently enough.
