I love Dr. Roland. You won't find a more caring and personable doctor. I feel so thankful that he is my Urologist. He saved me.

I am going on 16 days regarding my PSA TEST? with no call, e-mail, text from this Summit Health…read more Tried to get tot he patient portal LOL, I am leaving this practice as I wish to live. Called and was told I will hear back on my PSA test that location it takes longer, of cause no one told me this, I found a lot of complaints about Summit.

This urology medical practice has changed names and alliances several times over the past few…read moreyears. As presently constituted it calls itself, Summit Health. I previously was a patient here with the now retired Dr. Hecht. As part of my annual physical with PennMed, an updated urological exam was recommended due to history of kidney stones. This office was suggested, and convenient to home. On this appointment I saw Akira Yamamoto, MD, a staff physician/surgeon. He was on the young side of his career, and impressively thorough and personable. He reviewed a recent CT scan with me and discussed alternatives to the continuing stone issue. Nothing momentous, we decided to see each other again in 6 months and look for any changes. That seemed the right approach, so made that appointment and went our respective ways. I learned some things from our discussion that I will attempt to integrate into my diet. More Mediterranean. Less processed foods. I am pretty good about that already, but now I know that sometimes the best diet for for one condition is not the best for another. I would have preferred to have heard that from the doctors I have seen over the last years, but none had the whole patient in mind, and it came to me to figure this out. Question is; how solve the inconsistencies? Will let you know as soon as I do. Upon further investigation, I have learned that this practice's name is Summit Health-New Jersey Urology.
